I'm talking lounge pants and a tshirt with a bra on so the girls aren't swinging free!:rotfl: The last time we went I would get my comfy clothes (lounge pants, etc) on and head down to the food court to get a hot tea before bed so I could relax a little. I would wear flip flops and usually a lite jacket since it was December and a little cool.
Sounds like you have more on than a lot of the visitors. Don't worry, they don't know you. :cool2:

Morning all. Haven't caught up, but wanted to say "hi." Dropped DS off this morning at the Y for his very first field trip! (don't have time to surf... insert sappy crying mommy smilie here.) Seriously though, he's so excited. I can't wait to hear all about it when I pick him up tonight. :)

As I said, haven't read thru, but caught this since its the last post. for DD. Poor little thing.
And, what's wrong w/ ice cream for breakfast? :rotfl: (Actually, can't be any worse than this sugary iced coffee I treated myself too today. ;) )

Back later...
It is a dairy product. :thumbsup2

Thought this might be fun-I just learned this from another thread.

Here are the stats from this one.

Looks like racetrack is in the poll position.:goodvibes

I guess I'd better keep my DH off the CPU so I can join in in the evenings! For a regular I'm waaay behind. :sad2:

M&N What a way to end an enjoyable trip. Luckily no one was hurt.

:." :goodvibes

Sugary Iced Coffee? You're gonna have that baby doing Jazzercise!:rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl:
He already does that. I swear one night he's going to kick the covers right off the bed for me!! :rotfl2: (And, it was mostly decaf anyway... just enough of the caffeinated kind to make it taste good. Now, the sugar on the other hand... Lets just say I got a lot done for about 1/2 hour... :rotfl: )

Caught up a little, but I can see from some of the quotes I'm still behind.

Somewhere I've missed an appearance by Puny.

And, it looks as though M&N and Bopsmom had some bad news. I hope that it wasn't anything serious. Prayers your way, and I hope all is well. I'll try and read back a little further tonight to figure it all out.

Here's a few things I quoted as I skimmed, but I'm sure I've missed a bunch. Just randomly selected snippets here...

Oops, sorry. I went back to reread the prices and it would be 26.00 for the new option. If it would include everything that it is rumored to be especially the mug, it would be an incredible deal for us. We did the same as you last year a few times. Of course we would have to get at least 2 meals but we would still share just to get a taste of all the different offerings.

Sounds like an interesting option. Although for us, w/ DS, we really enjoyed doing the character meals and the DP made it affordable. Don't know if we would have done it w/ the price hike though...

Kids loved it! I kept looking over at DS7 and he always had a smile on his face. DS10 told me he had a good time too! I asked DS10 what he learned from the movie. He said, "Don't throw your garbage everywhere. We need to take care of the planet. Maybe someday we can build a ship that takes our garbage to the sun and incinerates it!" He's always thinking that one! :lmao:

What a thinker!! Good for him!

Dang! I was going to post on a thread on the resort board about wearing your PJs to get breakfast in the morning but it was too scary! What do you ladies think about wearing your PJs? Yay or Nay?

I agree about it depending on the type of jammies. I went down for coffee and muffins, etc. several times in my PJs and didn't think twice about it. But, it was lounge pants and a t-shirt or sweatshirt, so I was modestly covered. Maybe next time I'll try it in leopard print and high heels.... :rotfl: Now THAT would be scary! :rotfl:

Well, see there is nothing wrong with that. You were covered and they were not swinging free, so what's the big deal? But heck, some people will find anything to complain about. Maybe you should have worn heels and an evening gown to get your tea.

And to be honest, sometimes I have worn the same thing while sitting on my room chair outside of my room and had an adult beverage while my kids were sleeping. Nope, didn't block the walkway or anything, but I know alot of people would look down on that. Heck, we stay at the values so we must be loud, obnoxious classless people according to some disboards posters.

Must admit I was in your "classless" group myself. Couldn't think of anything better to do while we let DS fall asleep than sit outside the room w/ the door cracked and have a carbonated beverage. (I was also careful not to block the walkway... don't want to get flamed or anything... :rolleyes1 )

My Annapolis Adventure
The bus did not move sideways or anything. The bus driver said we were just at the wrong place at the wrong time. I feel just the opposite. If that lady had hit another car, who knows what would have happened. She certainly would not have bounced off like she did the bus. The state policeman told us there were 2 kids in the back seat. I really look at it as a miracle.

OMG!!! What a day. I'm glad your day was nice, but the trip home... I'm just glad everyone was o.k. What a positive way to look at the accident... as far as the bus being a better alternative for her to bounce off of.

Worked my way backwards... and I just have a minute.

Bopsmom - My heart goes out to that family.
M&N - Prayers for you and your family as well.

Both such terribly painful situations... I don't even have the words.

Racetrack - I'm glad to hear that DS seems to do better when he's with you. It makes it tough, but it does prove that there is a good kid in there waiting to blossom. I really hope it all works out in the end (preferably a LOT sooner.)

Ok, gotta run... for real. But, I couldn't leave w/o putting in a quick note of support... whoever said it is right. TKers do not suck... we ARE awesome. :rotfl:
 to everybody

Girl,I drank coffee with DD-heck all the other stuff I had to give up a little caffeine wasn't gonna hurt. I had "kids on the outside" to contend with and I needed the coffee-I was teaching 7th grade and expecting.:rotfl: But I do notice that a cup of cocoa gets DD going in the mornings. She was in Kindergarten and would wait at the bus stop outside of our door with her mickey mug of hot chocolate.:goodvibes She still makes it when she is feeling "sluggish".

Too funny that it still picks up DD.:rotfl: I cut it out completely with DS, but w/ even just one "on the outside" as you put it. There was no way I was going to be able to do w/o this time around. :surfweb:

I've been pretty good about sticking w/ 1 caffeinated drink/day. Either a cup of "1/2 caf" as I call it (1/2 decaf, 1/2 regular... so I can have the big cup.) Or a soda, or hot chocolate, or tea, etc.

Not sure how I'd make it thru the day otherwise!

Racetrack: I was looking for news that Ryan signed with Tony and found this article about a Harris Poll asking people in Canada and US to name their favorite sports star. It ranked Jeff Gordon fifth and Dale Earnhardt Jr. sixth....
"But Junior Nation should have been strong enough to keep their beloved son on top. Unless, that is, they are turning to Kyle Busch."
The last part is where I almost lost it. It was a stupid article anyway--sarcastic. The poll was not just for drivers and he did not say who won it or where Kyle was in the poll. It was an ESPN article.

Mom said it was in her paper that Ryan was going with Tony but I didn't see it on Jayski's.

No picture?!? Camera phone, something?

Nope! No picture. I had to explain to the kids why I was laughing so hard. They just didn't see the humor in it like I did.

You guys are too funny! :goodvibes

What is a PTR?:confused3

DD had her extractions done yesterday (5 teeth-1 adult and 4 baby-one of the baby teeth was impacted) She was a champ and is doing great. :thumbsup2
I tell her she's on her way to a million dollar smile (probably cost us that in the end)even after braces she will need 2-3 implants because she is missing 5adult teeth(that was even before the one they "had" to pull) poor thing-but she's a trooper.

DH is in CO, called to tell me all about it-it's really hard to feel sorry for him, ya' know!:lmao:

Check back later-DD wants icecream little fiend-she knows I would never let her get away with that as a breakfast choice:goodvibes

Ice Cream! Ice Cream! http://bestsmileys.com/icecream/1.gif[/img How is DD doing this evening? Still feeling good?
My Annapolis Adventure
I left home at 7am met Ruth at 7:30 and got to York around 8. The Red Lion Bus took off at 8:30. We had another stop to pick up several but arrived at the Naval Academy in Annapolis around 10:15.
Our bus had to split into 2 groups for the tour. We had a 72 yr old NY Italian...who acted like the typical NY Italian. He was funny. We walked around and went into Bancroft Hall. This is the 2nd largest dormitory in the world, the largest is in Russia. They had a replica of a midshipmen dorm room. Memorial Hall was beautiful. They are very proud of their history and those graduates who went on to serve and honor our country. We were able to go into their Chapel. It was beautiful too. On the lower level is a beautiful Italian marble crypt where John Paul Jones is buried. He was born in Scotland in 1747but came to Virginia in 1773.
We next walked about 2 blocks toward the harbor and Philips Seafood where we walked upstairs and sat with a view of the harbor and boats. Some chef talked and demonstrated how to make crab cakes. Our lunch included soup, crab cake sandwich and ff, with cheesecake for desert. (Most at my table agreed the cheesecake was better than the crab cake .)
We had about an hour to walk around the shops near the harbor. We boarded the Harbor Queen for a 40 min ride. Ruth and I went topside and the wind kept us from getting too hot. It was a beautiful day. Time for us to leave...around 4:10. We knew the traffic would be bad.
Ruth and I had the 3rd row on the right. The traffic was bad but we had not stopped. It’s hard to tell how fast we are going in a big bus. I looked out the window and saw a blue car up near our door. It was swerving out of control. It was close to us...no swerved away...I could see the lady’s arms try and turn right but the car came closer to us and...crunch and scrape. I made some noise and Ruth looked kind of behind my head and saw her bang the medal guard rail. Our driver of course heard the crunch and had to move over the 2 lanes and get to the shoulder. By this time we had rounded a little bend and could not see behind us but traffic was still coming. Everyone on my side was saying what they saw. They said she hit the guard rail so hard, it lifted it up. The bus driver gets out and gets on his cell. Another man walked back with him to see what happened. The blue car ended up against the concrete barrier that divides the highway. No one was hurt. No other car hit. It really was a miracle. Apparently she claimed a green car hit her. She doesn’t remember hitting the bus. People up front in the bus thought she tried to swerve to miss debris that was falling off an SUV’s trailer. Anyway, we were there almost 2 hrs. The state policeman had to have all our names and addresses and birthday. He asked if we were hurt. Ruth and I got off bus because we saw her hit and had to verify to the policeman a blue car hit us. She hit just below me. We got back to York at 7:25. Ruth and I ate at Cracker Barrel and I was back home by 8:55.

Hope you can see why I was weary last night!
Nothing like a little excitement to get the old blood pumping! I'm so glad that nobody was injured.

So how did DS do? Did he have a good time?

Hello DL55! Happy to see that you dropped by today.[img]http://bestsmileys.com/happy/1.gif

Hey
DD is doing better thank you for asking. She woke up through the night, and her face was swollen but that has gone away-amazing how eating an entire 1/2 gallon of Mint Chocolate Chip will perk her up.:lmao: She couldn't go to tennis today-dr.'s orders, but should be there tomorrow.

I'm waiting to hear Lighttech's report too.:surfweb: popcorn::

M&N-glad ya'll were ok.

Evening everyone!!! Had a slightly busy day today. I let DD and DS babysit at home today for the first time together. It went pretty well. Of course, I was only up the street at my dad's But this is the first time for a very long time that we have left DS without any adult supervision.

And for the first time in all this vacaton planning, I finally got my dad to make some decisions. :woohoo: Real answers instead of the usual "you're planning this vacation, whatever you want to do." :rotfl:

Bopsmom-Glad DD is feeling better. Mint chocolate chip is one of my favorite kinds of ice cream. But it has to be the green kind or I won't eat it.

DL55 :wave2:

lighttech-hope you check in tomorrow with a report about DS's day.

M&N-I haven't seen any announcement about Newman either. I won't comment on the Kyle Busch part of your article but how could Jeffie beat Jr? :scared1: Don't they still boo Jeffie at the races? Oh year, I forgot, they all boo KB now. :rotfl2:

I didn't see your light on before. I was saving this big ol' hug just for you!!!

What's new Pikester?

I'm just messing with you! I just barely got back on because I was watching the Ghost Hunters International I recorded last night.

DH is taking the kids to Hampton Beach (located on the seacoast of NH and a couple hours away) tomorrow. I will be home by myself!:woohoo: Then on Saturday I will be going shopping with my Mom! Another day with no kids and I get to eat lunch out! :woohoo:

:cloud9: 2 days with no kids {{sigh}} Oh what I wouldn't do for that. I'm going to have to work on getting my DH a little to take the kids out for a day, I think. :rotfl2:

Well, I have to say good night! DH will need help getting the kids ready in the morning and I'm sure I'll do a better job of it if my eyes are open.

Lunch out...where are we going? I know I'm doing Arby's with Mom. Then we have to get back to her house to babysit my 7 month old 2nd cousin so her parents can go to Phila to see his brother and Mom who is up from NC until he is out of the coma. We will have her longer than the last time. I hope she doesn't cry as much as the last time. I think her Mommy takes her to the gym and she has the people there watch her for 30 min or so while she works out. She should be a little bit better with strangers.

Racetrack---Your quote didn't turn up??? I just wanted to say I was glad Dad seems more interested and involved. I know he will appreciate all the work once he gets there and see how overwhelming it can be.
When does DS go back to mom's? Hope the cooperative mood lasts for a while. You may want to edit your last sentence about your hubby.
