I asked DH about ipods since we had to replace DD's on Saturday.
Funny story kinda, she lost her ipod on the plane flying out to WDW. DH was fumming about it I told him to lay off-he was making her cry on her first night of vacation. The ipod was a corporate prize and it hadn't cost him a cent. He was giving the "be responsible for your stuff" lecture. She really is a responsible child but accidents happen. Welllllllll, the next day DH loses his iphone on either a bus or the safari ride:rotfl2:. We started giving him the "take care of your stuff" lecture exactly like he had done. I had told him before not to wear it on his belt because it catches on things or pops off getting in and out of cars.
Anyways, when we got back we had to replace everything.:rotfl2: can you say karma!

DH says he likes the nano and so do I-the shuffle is a pain. If I want to listen to random music I'd listen to the radio.

There are 2 nanos, one has smaller memory, the other larger and you have more of a choice of colors. See: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APP...03651205&esvadt=999999-0-1103711-1&esvid=1837
DD's can play videos, but I told her I'd rather not have her download videos. Her BFF downloaded Pirates on hers and watched it on the plane, so I guess there is some benifit to it. I have a old nano-no video and love it I have an iride on my bike, small speakers that attach to the handlebars because it's not safe to ride with headphones on.
I agree about the earbuds-they hurt my ears so I use headphones we I need them.
The bad thing about her losing this one is that it had a cool glow in the dark skin so we could find it easily. Oh well, Overstock.com sells all sorts of accessories.
Hope this helps

We were lucky last night and seemed to be in between all the storms that hit. Were they bad by you?
I know some time ago there was talk about satellite dishes. We are looking to get rid of our cable provider and are looking into getting satellite. Those who have it, what company do you have? And I saw they offer internet connections too. Does anyone have their internet through the satellite hook-up?

We had less than a half inch and lightning for about 10 min. Mom said Lancaster didn't but she may have been asleep. ;)

Comcast is a pain. Mom called me tonight because the Phillies game wasn't on her tv anymore. It got black and then a picture but the pic didn't move. She even called me on my cell because I'm on the computer. Mine was off too. We both have Comcast but different companies. My tv was crazy too for some channels. She has a digital box and sometimes hits the wrong button so I'm supposed to fix it long distance.

This :badpc: computer...sometimes I'm typing and it's not writing it. Must be awfully slow tonight.

One of the 6th grade teachers was told to not be as strict on the kids. Most feared him...but then he became a favorite teacher when they figured him out. He said he just does not get as much out of them now.

Check out my new smilie...I tried to put a pic in but could not.

One reason I will NEVER have satellite: years ago when Hurricane Floyd came to visit, my friend in Bound Brook, NJ had satellite. Regional weather, nothing local. The cable channels all had alerts running across the bottom of the screen on every channel--EVACUATE!! EVACUATE!!! Flooding! My friend never saw it. By the time they realized the danger, it was too late. They were evacuated by rowboat--from their ROOF! The water was 1/2 way up the stairs to the 2nd floor.

No thanks, I'll keep my nice, local Weather Channel, my News 12 New Jersey, and my higher bill. I see it as being a small price to say for safety and connection.

JMHO...

I think there are 8 TKers on now! Hi everyone.
Does anyone know why some names are in red on the buddy list?

Racetrack...I don't know if you were thinking along these lines, but I have DirecTv, switched over from Time Warner last year. I had called to try to get my bill lowered, and was basically told there was nothing I could do.

I ended up bundling my internet, cable, local and long distance. With my satellite I pay much less and get much more. I've been very happy with both the reception and the customer service.

I have internet through Verizon, but not through my satellite. I have a wireless platform that it hooked up through my phone line. It works great.

I've saved so much money just paying one provider for all my services and am really happy I did it.

exactly what I'm looking for. We have cable, internet and phone through one provider too, but we have alot of problems with them. I got the same answer when I tried to lower our bill too. It just seems like you are punished for being a good, longtime customer. Can I ask how fast your internet is? We have cable hookup for ours (DSL) and when we would click on a link, etc, it would take less than a second for the new page to pop-up. Right now, I have the internet hooked up through my phone line and it seems so slow.

I looked at the DirecTv site the other night and it seems like we could get so much more for our money. Oh, decisions, decisions. :lmao:

Sure, make this even harder. I thought they offered local channels now. :confused3 Oh geez, now I'm going to spend tomorrow reserching some more. But thanks for the info, gives me something to thing about with this whole thing.

All the names on my buddy list are red. I thought they always were? Maybe I've just been hallucinating? :lmao:

Now the ones online are in red but before some were and some weren't? Now everyone's black. It's not that important but I was just confuzzed...nothing new.

I emailed Shmu my Flat TKer pic tonight. I do not want to be the only one.

Everyone needs to think dry thoughts for Racetrack and me for Sunday. Roller coasters are not good in the rain.

I think I just figured it out. When Shmu signed on, her name came up in red and wasn't in abc order. Then the list got in abc order in black.

Where's everyone go???? Am I going to have to talk to myself just like I do at home?

Ok, I know a couple of us watch Hell's Kitchen. I watched tonight and was so glad to see Jen kicked off. She was so not a team player and was completely wacked.

M&N, road course this week. Time for Stewart and Robby Gordon to shine. I do a fantasy racing league against most of the guys in my family and I've fallen behind in points the last couple of weeks. :scared1: Need to get on the ball and teach these boys a lesson. :rotfl2:

I'm still here. I'm surfing the smilies.
What does this one mean?

We will miss the race this week. Of course it's from CA so I may get home for some of it. I told Mom I would call her for updates. She doesn't like road races. You had better start putting #88 up there...#18's already peaked! He's not doing all the Nationwide races now since he cannot win the championship.

Who was doing fantasy baseball? Haven't heard any reports lately.

You're still here.

I'm going to email shmu after our trip this weekend. I figure DD will be able to get at least one good pic of me while we are there. I hope the weather turns out ok. Truthfully, I don't mind a bit of rain...scares alot of people away. But I really hope it's one of those false alarms.

Gotta run for like 5 minutes. Have to disconnect the internet so DH can fax in his paperwork for the night. Be right back!!!!

It was a long 5 min! I almost fell asleep.
Your light stayed on though to keep me company.

MagiKitty was doing fantasy baseball but she hasn't posted anything about it in a while. Last I remember, she kicking the guys' butts. :yay:

That smilie means Way To Go!! Kinda like I have to say after every weekend when Kyle wins. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Kyle made a very informed and intelligent decision to concentrate on the Cup races instead of the Nationwide races. He's been spreading himself too thin when he should be beating the pants off of Jr and his Hendrick buddies. :rotfl:

Weather Channel has 40% chance of scattered t-storms for Sunday. That's not too bad. High of 84. Did you get discount coupons? I know Subway has some.

We usually get our tickets from the grocery store (Giant). I think the discount is $8.00 and right now they are giving a free parking voucher. With the price of parking, it works out pretty good. I can food and snacks for the trip along with my tickets all in one shopping trip. :woohoo: :woohoo: oh, it takes so little to make me happy!! :lmao:

OK TKers. Notice the attitude of the above poster? Just like Kyle's. :cool1: Never wrong, never makes mistakes, always right! :cool1: I say...the championship isn't over yet. There's lots of miles to put on those Goodyears. :thumbsup2
