Okay pikester I know, I dragged it out of DM. So even though I'm a few months behind going to watch what I hear is a very sad sad kill off. After I will tell you how close but not enough I was to him at super soap.

So sorry for not getting back to you! I new I was suppose to be answering someone's question but for the life of me I couldn't find it. I'm glad you were able to get the answer any ways. I would LOVE to go to Super Soap Weekend someday! I have a chance but not going to take it due to not having the money to meet Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) on June 14th in Bedford, NH. He is having a meet and greet as a fundraiser for the local animal shelter. It's not very often that a soap actor gets up this way. The closest for me is usually Boston, MA. I would love to meet Steve Burton and Rebecca Herbst someday. They are my two favorite actors.

I think the last week of November through the first wek of December. I will have to look at the ressie to make sure.

Kim

Are you talking about T-day week? Maybe?

Oh, a woman after my own heart. Liz and Jason. Now that is one hot man. I wonder if I could talk my DH into taking our next vacation at that time. ;)

whgrn-love the new smilie. :thumbsup2

I've been up since 4 am. I just couldn't toss and turn anymore. I'm waiting for Kohls to open-why couldn't today be an early bird day????
I have everyone/thing packed. I need to go to Kohls to buy a "bo*by-hanger" as DD used to call them. I know, I know . It's just DH said I ought to get a "sports" one so I don't get two black eyes from riding TT.:rotfl2: Nice huh!

Disney54us & race18kb:Thanks for the good wishes for DD's flute choice-I was worried that she would pick an instrument that would require me to sound proof the greenhouse.

Whgrn Love the Scotland siggie addition

kimluvswdw & Pikester I want to know all about ya'lls ADRs. I am jealous that you get to go before the busiest part of the season. I think I asked before, has anyone taken the decorations tour that they offer?

Are you talking about T-day week? Maybe?

The ressie is for for November 27-December 5. I had no idea that the 27th was Turkey day when I made the reservation. I may have to see about changing it if I can. I really don't care if I am home on Thanksgiving or not.

Bopsmom -
Yea on flute (And not drums). I wanted to play flute when I was in elementary, but I could make the darn thing make a sound. I did better w/ trombone, but I was REALLY tiny, and I remember my Dad asking if I was sure I wanted to play an instrument that much bigger than me. :lmao: I ended up forgoing the instruments and joining the choir instead. Turned out good for me, I still love singing, and no instruments to lug around. But, I still think the flute would have been cool.

And, HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!! I can't believe its so close!!! (I kept meaning to check your ticker and forgetting.) Come back w/ great pics and even better stories for us! :hyper:

Oh it is icky here. Hot and humid with a heat advisory. Not looking forward to the next few days.

We are going to be there for T-day week and part of the following week too. I know another tker is going to be there at that same time too. If all works out for you, maybe we will run into each other down there.

:cool1: :cool1:   I wouldn't be able to sleep either. No bo*by hangers here but we do have bo*by holders according to DD5. She likes to take mine and put them on over her clothes and run around the house yelling "I have big bo*bies" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Yeah, it's a real circus around here. And to DH, think he needs one of these

Hey everyone!!!

Bopsmom-congrats on being a "beginner flute player mom"!!! DD started playing the violin 2 years ago and thankfully we have progressed the point where she sounds good. But those first few months, well, she won't be changing instruments any time soon. :rotfl: Hey, shouldn't you be packing?

disney54us-if you keep bringing up super soap weekend, I'm going to have to Only kidding. Must have been great to see all those actors and actresses. Maybe some year I'll get there.

:rotfl2: Oh yes those offff notes they are a pleasure to the ears:rotfl2:.
:rotfl2: :lmao: Okay then see my reply to your next post:rotfl:.

Fan meet how cool!!!! Watched last night Tue, Wed, Thrus:scared1: and Fri.
So sad, very good acting. Can't believe they killed of Nash, loved him from when he first came on!! Have to say even though I haven't seen it much lately they were making him and Jess a little boring and you know what they say in soap land happy boring couples don't last:confused3 .
My DM always wanted to go, We are DVC and would go with my parents at Christmas time. I use to tell her that if she really wanted to go, her and my dad should go. My Dad enjoyed Disney but though he was very healthy he had bad knee's so walking the parks was not easy for him.
He always told her he would take her when he had his knee's done and he could really walk around. Unfortunately, that day never came. He went in for a dble replacement and on the third day coded in front of me. He never regained and was brain dead.
So I made sure to take her and wanted it to be a 'girls' thing. Her, my DD, my DN and myself. Of course that never works with her:rotfl: oh no lets make this a family vacation my DH and DS should come too!
So we did, DH and DS would go do there own thing, while the girls b/c star stalkers:rotfl:. It really is a fun time, though Sat (the first day) is super crowded, you get locals that will come in for the day.
We went again the following year, Do have to say I felt like a jet setter :rotfl: of sorts. Since we were already booked and went back a few weeks later for our usual Christmas time vaca. Please understand I would not be able to do this without having DVC, since I don't pay for accomendations, I had a annual pass that year and I found a round trip for that weekend for $157 round trip.
Anyhoo, we had alot of fun. Mom who finally gave in and was going to get one of those motorized carts (it was alot of walking) she couldn't b/c they are gone first thing in the morning. Sadly many people get them who really don't need them but many of the 'stars' will stop for someone in one of those carts or wheel chair so you do see abuse :confused3. She did get to sit up front for the show by the hat that Susan Lucci hosted a Q&A, she loved it and on Sundays parade we were so close. I saw my mom get tears in her eyes when we were in our 'secret spot' where the stars are escorted in and out to the different events they go to. Great spot you can get pic's and sometimes even though security is trying to 'walk them along' many will go very very slowly so you can get a pic' or get next to them for someone to get a pic. Well the guy who plays John on OLTL was walking down and we are all yelling his name and you know he is a very subdued type even if you've seen him in interviews in real life. There's DM and she's like a groupie yelling his name and waving and he looks up at her and smiles. Well , he's not the smilie type and people were OMG he smiled and I look at my mom and I see her eyes filling.

OKay I warned you in my first reply:rotfl2:. Steve Burton and Maurice no longer do Super Soap. It seems that, for Maurice he's bipolar and suffer's from being in closed in crowds. I heard some years back he was there and due to his popularity the crowds were to hard to handle and a fight broke out. Steve Burton has also stopped because of his popularity. Seems some years back 'fans' got wind of where he was staying and staked out his hotel that he couldn't leave:scared1:. So that's when he stopped. It is true that some of the folks there are let's just say not quite dealing with reality. They seem to think these stars are there friends of theirs:confused3.
Well the last time I went was the 10th Aniversary so they had extra 'stars' and yes yes racer chick he was there!!!!!! MY DN as most do loves him, did get to touch his arm as he was being escorted (we were in our 'secret place' again:laughing:) There is so much eye candy:rotfl2:. He was with Sam then so they were together in the parade and liz and lucky rode together.
We moved around hotel wise that weekend since I sorta booked it last minute and it's hard to get rooms. So Friday we stayed one place then moved Saturday and stayed there Sat. and Sun. and left on Mon. When the Bell capt. brought up our stuff I don't know how it came about I think DN had the ABC soap digest in her hand and he asked if we came for that. So he proceeds to tell us most are staying where we were! Well here's DN asking is so and so here and on and on. He didn't know all the names so she starts opening the book and showing him pictures:lmao:. Tells us that 'ethan' from AMC was out at the pool the night before. Well that was it DN and DD were going to DTD and when they came back they called to tell me they were sitting in the lobby to see if any of the stars came back:lmao:.
The pool story actually made the ABC digest a few months later, that he was at the pool and a couple of fans asked if they could take a picture with him.
I'm too excited to sleep!!!!!!!

Gosh took reading racer's post to figure out what you were going to Kohl's
for:confused3 must be the heat my minds not working.
I get like that to wake up can't sleep right before something big, so I just give in and start the day. It's better then oversleeping and losing time to do stuff I guess.
Very funny I have to many smilies in this post. About soundproofing the green house. If she did pick one of those maybe the racoon's would leave.

do you read all the soap magazines too? I couldn't sleep last night and ended up being awake till 3am watching "my shows" :lmao: I would have stayed up for GH but I knew the kids would have me up sooner rather than later. Did you happen to see the nominees for the daytime emmy's this year? I was truly shocked when I read them. Only one actor from all the abc soaps was nominated. :scared1:

GH is probably my favorite, followed by AMC. Grandma and Mom watched both of those while I was groing up. Started watching OLTL because I just didn't want to change the channel to find something else to watch. DH actually likes GH (it's more manly than the others) but don't tell anyone. :rotfl:

Oh, did you also watch the GH spin-off that they had a few years ago? Can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

OMG!!! Are you leaving today!!!! I hope I didn't miss you. Have a great trip!
I wish I were leaving today. Just a couple more months and were off. My Dad refuses to cancel the trip. I have decided to quietly play it by ear.

Well everyone, Kendall is off to her very first Prom. I did mention that her friend Oliver's date canceled on him like two weeks ago and she agreed to go with him right? She is a Jr. so she is not labeling it "her" prom lol. Her Boyfriend was a super gentleman about it all and told her to go and have fun but told her "You better answer your phone if I call" :rotfl2:

Tomorrow I should have some pics to post so I can show you guys how horribly disastrous her hair ended up...okay it is not that bad but I was annoyed because it took me like two hours and it looked perfect until she stepped out in to the 100 degree Va. humidity. She took it in stride though. It still looks good, it is just not the perfect little curls it was when I finished.

Prom ends at 12:00 so I told her to be home by 12:30...12:45 at the latest. They looked at me like I sprouted a third head ha ha. Well third head or not, I want her home by 12:45 lol. Am I being unreasonable?

OMG it was the cutest thing...he brought her daisies...her favorite, but he was totally blushing when he gave them to her. She was just like "Oliver, it's just me!!!" That seemed to help his sudden case of the nerves lol.

Okay, I'm off to worry. :scared1:

I LOOOOOOVE that commercial!!! So cute!

I just ordered 3 bras online. I'm hoping at least one of them fits well, and then I'll order 3 of the same style. All mine are too big!

Have a wonderful time and we can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!

That's sweet that she's going with a friend. I'm sure I would have enjoyed my prom alot more if I'd gone with a friend instead of my bf, who was a total jerk.

And no, you are NOT being unreasonable! 12:45 is plenty late, prom or no.

Hot as blazes here. The kids spent the last 2.5 hours in the pool--I've been hiding in the AC. Church picnic tomorrow in all this heat. YUCK!

Glad to know I'm not alone...

That's sweet that she's going with a friend. I'm sure I would have enjoyed my prom alot more if I'd gone with a friend instead of my bf, who was a total jerk.

I agree. I went to 3, and 2 were a total mess. My Jr. Prom I went w/ a sort of friend... we really didn't know each other well at all, but neither of us had dates, and we agreed to go together as "friends." It was very awkward. He was sweet, but we had nothing in common.

My Sr. Prom I went w/ a guy that I was ready to break up with. He knew it too, and I think we both hung in there mostly for Prom. Then afterwards I found out he expected me to sleep w/ him! :scared1:  We had been fighting for weeks, didn't have anything to say to each other, and (too much personal information, I know) but had NEVER been anywhere CLOSE to that far... and he knew (I thought) that I had no intention of it. I wound up breaking up w/ him that night and then being stuck at the afterparty w/ all of "our" friends basically not speaking to my date.

The 3rd was better. That was actually my first date w/ DH. He was a year ahead of me in school, and I went to his Sr. Prom w/ him. We had just started getting to know each other, and it was a really fun night. Lots to talk about and ask each other, and nothing expected but a goodnight kiss. Old fashioned guys will still get me everytime.

Oh, BTW for anyone interested, Randy Travis will be on air this Monday night. (11pm-ish, I think). I, unfortunately won't be in the studio... I'd love to see him in person.

Yeah, usually DM buys them then gives them to me after she's done. I've done that it's like my guilty pleasure and me time. Knowing I will pay for it in the morning but enjoying the quiet and catching up and watching my shows. I'll look at the clock and say to myself oh just one more show.
I know can't believe there are hardly any ABC nominations!!!!:(
Port Charles just remembered the name, no that was before I got back into them. But Kelly Monnoco came from there and the guy who plays John on OLTL came from there. GH is properly my fav too, AMC I watched when I was a kid and would come home for lunch. From time to time depending on the story line I vary on my fav's but I think GH always stays close.
OMG!!! Are you leaving today!!!! I hope I didn't miss you. Have a great trip!

Oh how exciting and can't wait to see the pic's!!!!
No not unreasonable, if the school is not having a after party then you don't need her going to any that the kids are having on their own. DD usually comes back and I'll order them wings or pizza and her BF hangs out and even though he drives the first year you have a license it is provision and you have to be off the road by 12:01AM so his mom picks him up.
Keep up the faith and you DD might just do this trip with you all after all:goodvibes.

Hot as blazes here. The kids spent the last 2.5 hours in the pool--I've been hiding in the AC. Church picnic tomorrow in all this heat. YUCK!

Where will he be if not in the studio???? Thats a shame would have been cool for you to see him.

You are too funny! What your husband said is something that my husband would have said.

June 11th is my 180 day that I can call and make ADRs. No work for me that day! I hope to get ADRs at the following places: Sci-Fi, Liberty Tree Tavern, Ohana for Breakfast, LeCellier, Whispering Cayon and Spirit of Aloha. I have read so many reviews for all the restuarants and they are 50/50 loved it/hated it! I'm just going to go, try it for me and make up my own mind. I'm eating at Disney World!

MY DN as most do loves him, did get to touch his arm as he was being escorted (we were in our 'secret place' again) There is so much eye candy:rotfl2:.
He didn't know all the names so she starts opening the book and showing him pictures. Tells us that 'ethan' from AMC was out at the pool the night before. Well that was it DN and DD were going to DTD and when they came back they called to tell me they were sitting in the lobby to see if any of the stars came back.
The pool story actually made the ABC digest a few months later, that he was at the pool and a couple of fans asked if they could take a picture with him.

HOT & HUMID WARNING TO NOT GO OUTSIDE!!!! which is why I am sitting here on the boards insert funny smilie here. DD5, insert rolling on the floor laughing.

A couple years ago Steve(Jason) and Becky(Liz) had a combined fan event for the Liason fans. I would have loved to have gone to that but spending money on plane tickets and event tickets was not an option. I think that event was when they showed scenes from Liz and Jason's night of passion but I could be wrong.

do you read all the soap magazines too? I couldn't sleep last night and ended up being awake till 3am watching "my shows" :lmao: I would have stayed up for GH but I knew the kids would have me up sooner rather than later. Did you happen to see the nominees for the daytime emmy's this year? I was truly shocked when I read them. Only one actor from all the abc soaps was nominated.

GH is probably my favorite, followed by AMC. Grandma and Mom watched both of those while I was groing up. Started watching OLTL because I just didn't want to change the channel to find something else to watch. DH actually likes GH (it's more manly than the others) but don't tell anyone.

Oh, did you also watch the GH spin-off that they had a few years ago? Can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

I don't read the soap mags anymore because I go to this awesome website called GHHappenings Two http://groups.msn.com/GeneralHospitalHappeningsTwo/test3.msnw They have spoilers (I am so addicted!) cast news and rumors. The women who run the site are great and it is a family friendly site.

Well everyone, Kendall is off to her very first Prom. I did mention that her friend Oliver's date canceled on him like two weeks ago and she agreed to go with him right? She is a Jr. so she is not labeling it "her" prom lol. Her Boyfriend was a super gentleman about it all and told her to go and have fun but told her "You better answer your phone if I call"

12:45a is not too early! Although, I was able to stay out as late as I wanted, which turned out to not be that late. I was a good girl too!

Prom, Prom, Prom. When I was asked to go to the prom it was "just as friends". By the time we ended up going he had a girlfriend from the next town over and she snuck in and they spent most of the night in the corner. I did not have the greatest time. I so wished I would have gone with someone else.

I can't wait to see pictures! I hope she has a good time. Some guys can be so sweet!

It is so HOT here today! To make it worse we have a "Boil Water" posted for my town. NO sprinkler! NO plastic pool! Nothing! AND the PTO had our Six in the Stix 6 mile trailrun event. We had 99 participants with 1 having to be Fire Rescued from the furthest point in the woods due to dehydration! It was DANG HOT here today. I am so tired, hot, sticky, cranky and I just want to go to bed. I was home from the event by 1:30p and sat around for a little while before I had to empty my dishwasher and handwash all my dirties in bleach water and then rinse them in boiled water. That just made the house hotter then ever because I had to boil the water. I can't sleep in tomorrow because I have to get up early and go grocery shopping since I can't do it on Monday (I'm working).Tuesday is out because my son has a dentist appt an hour away. I hate crowds so I like to shop in the mornings. Wednesday is ADR day and by Thursday we would be starving to death. So, tomorrow it is. Maybe I can take a nap in my room with the AC on.

Thank you so much for letting me rant away. I really needed it!

I hope everyone is having a good day. Maybe I'll make myself a Carribean Smuggler tonight. Pineapple Juice, Cranberry Juice, Malibu Coconut Rum, Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum, YUM!

You could cook a hot dog in this heat today!!! Come on why didn't you go in for a splash.

#1--I don't own a bathing suit (well, that fits, anyway) But I have 2 ordered so soon I'll have at least one.

#2--I still have the draining abdominal incision. Until the doctor gives the OK, I'm not going in the pool, even with a waterproof dressing (which is how I've done it for the past 5.5 years...

#3--it was 95 degrees. Too hot to even go outside!!

Did anyone watch the Belmont Stakes? I had to watch Big Brown. I so wanted him to win. Not even close. Oh well. First and last time I've ever cared to watch a horse race!

This weather must really be getting to me--it's only 8:39 and I'm ready for bed! Maybe I'll go clear out my closet or something productive...

Oh man, HOT was not the word for today. And it's only suppose to get worse. Of couse, DH has this brainy idea to take the kids fishing tomorrow afternoon. Yep, 100 degrees in the afternoon and you know, you have to be still and quiet, but we are going fishing!!!

pepper-thought you would be up tonight waiting for DD to get home. From what I read, it sounds like "the friend" has a little crush on DD. Can't wait to see the pics.

whgrn-to me, it was too hot to be outside at all today. Didn't stop my kids either. They love the heat and hate the cold. Hence, part of the reason we are moving to FL. I need to bathing suit shop too but I keep putting it off. Will have to get on the ball with that one since the kids will be bugging to go the big community pool soon. (like tomorrow)

Pikester-I can relate to the cooking in the house (even if it's just water) making everything so much hotter. Went off budget tonight to go out to eat. I just couldn't stand the idea of being in the kitchen cooking in this heat. Have to figure out what to do with tomorrow night and the next.

disney54us-wow, I guess you do follow the soaps. And I see many of us do too. I never wanted to bring it up because it just seems like so many other people look down upon soaps. When you went to super soap weekend, were you able to get any autographs? And was it packed? Just thinking ahead for maybe someday. :rotfl2:

ok, since I am up all by myself, I thought I would take a moment to vent. Hope you all don't mind. :goodvibes You all know the trouble we have with DS. It was only, maybe 2 weeks ago, that we have to pay one of his friends some money because he stole some stuff from his house. Ok, alot of money, $150 to be exact. When you have 4 kids and one income, 150 is alot when you are saving to better your life. Guess where he is right now? He is off camping with "his mom". Yep, he gets to go fishing (which he loves) and hang out with any other kids that are around. DS's mom's reply to everything that happens now is we have custody, and it's our responsibilty. We don't know what to do anymore. It just seems to be a losing battle. My heart breaks for him because he doesn't seem to realize that he is pushing the people who care the most about him away.

Vent away honey, vent away! That's what we are here for. So sorry you are going through this with DS. As I've said before, I fear that is my future with my DS too. What IS it with non-custodial parents? My ex is constantly undermining everything I do--it drives me nuts! Hopefully your good influence will override her lack of it.

I found a bathing suit!! Last night, I went and cleaned out my closet. WOW. I filled 9 30 gallon trash bags with clothes--everything from huge down to just a bit big. I never realized how much I had! This is stuff that's accumulated over many years, and it was time to get rid of all of it. I took a picture of my bed piled high, and of all the bags stuffed full. I'll try to post it later when I have more time. Anyway, my closet now looks so bare! So, in my cleaning, I came across a bathing suit, Lands End size 20, that I've never worn. It fits great! It's a tankini, which I'm not crazy about--they tend to ride up and I don't like the exposure. But it's pretty--dark pink floral. So when I'm in my pool here I can wear it. Anywhere else I'm going with the tank suit and board shorts (if I can FIND board shorts that fit! The XXL mens from Kohls are too small in the rear end)

Now I'm off to roast like a chicken at the church picnic. When I get home and cool off, I think i'll attack my shoe overflow...:scared1:

Good Sunday everyone! I see that everyone is also suffering in this heat. After all the complaining of the chilly weather, it hits like a bang! Its been truly miserable and muggy and I'm just trying not to sweat too much.

Lots to catch up on....I missed Bopsmom leaving! I can't wait to hear about her trip...

I've always wanted to go to Soap Weekends and Star Wars weekends...I not too thrilled with crowds though. I've gotten spoiled attending during the low seasons, and not sure how I'd handle the craziness. I'm a GH fan too, although I haven't watched it in ages. It used to be on after I came home from school and I'd watch it with Mom.

My nephew was with me last night and he shared his own "after Prom" stories. While I appreciate that he feels he can share his personal stuff with me, I couldn't just let him get away without throwing some advice in there. Frankly, I'm shocked at what they get away with now. I had to ask, "how do you get all the alcohol? Kegs?". He said that the PARENTS buy it for them. I couldn't imagine that!

I will say, my parents had an open door policy growing up. Everyone was allowed to visit and stay over (boys and girls) as long as they weren't too loud, they were respectful, and no questionable behavior. And we were good! We were the geeks of th town--watched movies, made food, talked into the night. It seems so long ago now.

I know there's more I wanted to comment on...I'll have to go back.

Pikester, have you eaten at any of those places you plan to make your ADRs? I have ressies at some of the same ones and wondering what your take is. I know due to free dining a lot of ressies aren't available, but I think with only two people, its a little easier to change. I've changed several ressies now and I"m questioning my choices. I'd love any input.
