Morning!!
Well, DD left this morning at 5am. And of course there was drama this morning.
She had lost her school id but never realized it until this past weekend. So we asked the school about it and they said to call the place that does the school pictures and they could probably send another one. We were able to get them to print one up right away and picked it up yesterday. I gave DD my small credit card holder and told her to put her id in there and put right into her carry-on bag. Does she listen? Nooo! She puts it on her desk and somehow by this morning, it was lost. I know DD4 got a hold of it and moved it (and she got a good talking to about that this morning). Anyways, at 4:30 am, DH and I are tearing her room apart trying to find this stupid wallet. We found it, thank goodness. I thought we would have an easy morning but no such luck.
Their flight is scheduled to land around 11:30 but they won't be calling until they make it to the hotel.
I'll be back later. Got to go pick up DD6 from school.

, swaying palm tree's the castle, nov. seems so far away.
at DSs sitter this morning. DS is doing such a good job at the potty, and we asked her to keep him in his "big boy" pants all day. (We even made sure we did it all weekend in many diff't scenarios... out at a store, on a hike, while he was distracted watching a movie, playing outside, during naps AND overnight - Each time, he called when he needed to go and did a great job.) Come to find out she changed him into a diaper during naptime. I asked her not to do this again when I got there this morning, b/c poor DS is telling me how he has to wear a "baby diaper" for naps b/c if he had an accident it would be REALLY messy. She argued w/ me using the excuse that since she naps him in a pack-n-play, it would be too hard to clean up! Then I say he's very good about calling (which has been a problem there b/c she's so strict about the kids being quiet during nap that he doesn't think he can call her if he has to potty. So, a few weeks ago, we worked on this and I asked her to please explain that its important to be quiet during rest time, but if he has to potty, that's an exception.) I thought this was all worked out, then he tells me he still can't call b/c he doesn't want to be loud. And THEN, I find out that she actually told him that since he pee-pee'd before naptime, he should HOLD IT IN during nap rather than calling and being loud!!

You will be much happier with preschool. I know I was when mine were younger. They are better equipped to follow your rules.
