Your DD ran over the "DO NOT BACK UP" treads? You have to admit, that's kinda funny. Did she think the sign was lying? Didn't the tire pop? Well, at least she knew to call home for help.

And I'm an idiot. I unplugged my alarm system the other day--I was looking for an available plug for Edgar. That set off the alarm communication--which meant calling my cell phone every 30 seconds. I was freaked out coz my cell phone said "home" was calling me--and I was IN THE HOUSE! I thought it was the beginning of a horror movie. I then realized what I had done, and tried to fix it. But I couldn't figure it out. Eventually, the house stopped calling me.

I just got a call from the phone company that my alarm system was calling SOMEONE ELSE! My alarm is just personal, I'm not attached to the fire/police department (thank goodness). I've just disconnected the phone line. I can't find the instruction booklet. I can't find someone from the manufacturer to talk to. I'm going to rip the thing out of the wall. I don't know who to ask help from.

The electronics are taking over. I hope Edgar will come to my rescue. Now I'm afraid of the DirecTv guy coming over tomorrow. The house is rebelling against me.

Guess she missed that:confused3, I said the same thing though I have almost done it myself in daylight and with no rain coming down. It is a strange set up 2 entrances side by side very narrow w/ ticket machines and the barriers that go up and down. The were down which at that time parking is free so I don't know why. Usually you have those on the exit, and then right next to it this wide no gates entrance which really is a exit with those threads. Since God for bid that someone may not pay the few bucks, we are going to shred your tire!!! Flat as a pancake:scared1:, instant!
I would be freaked to if my cell phone rang and it said home:eek: :scared1:.
 are you getting Tivo???

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was going to submit that over the weekend-ha!

I love to name my animals strange things. Like my daughter's plycostimus is named Windex. DD names my plants strange things too.
I had a tank in my old office when I was an accounting clerk with 2 kissing fish-1 named Debit the other Credit and the plycostimus named Arthur Anderson(the auditors-they hang around all the time and you're not quite sure what they do)
Great minds huh

:rotfl2: , Debit/credit, Arthur Anderson:rotfl2: :rotfl:.
Okay, need to get some stuff done and I think I may have made a car payment twice online by accident:scared1: need to check that!!!

i just came up here to check our thread one more time. dennis has been sleeping since about 10:30, and it's 1 now. i'm going to wake hime, because between last night's no sleep and the time change, oh and when we were at the play, my dad put him in around 9:30! he's usually in by 7:30-8. anyway, sorry for the run-on sentence. so he's really messed up with his schedule and he's even eating less because of it. so i'm waking him up!

thanks everyone for caring!

Leave SIL someone else's number...mmm, that could work. Any volunteers? Please..somebody? :rotfl2: And it's not only whining, I may get witness a few tantrums thrown too. By her and not her son.

disney54us-your stories are just so funny today. Your poor doggie. Thank goodness I won't have to ever worry about something like that with our dog. She is so afraid of everything, she would never go near a skunk...or a bird, or even leaves blowing around and making too much noise. :rotfl2: May I ask just how did DD manage to miss all the signs about not backing up? Aren't there usually a ton of warning signs? :rotfl2:

what's a plycostimus?!

It is a fish that sucks on the glass to eat the algae.
It's a glass cleaner-

I hate it when they get off schedule. :sad2: DD was complaining about going to school at what would have been 6:30am. I said, hey, you're coming home at would be 2pm:)

Boy, the storms are starting to kick up now. It's dark as night and the wind it howling. DH is on the rode today driving from Houston to Corpus Christi and I hate to have him drive in bad weather. :scared:

I think I'd better log out I just got a look at the radar and it's an ugly squall line coming. It's been fun chatting I'll check back later.

:lmao: :lmao: Oh, I get the name now. I even looked up what they are and I still didn't get it. Should have had a little more coffee this morning.

 I hate it too when DH has to drive in bad weather. I know he's going to be careful but I still worry about all the other people out there. Stay safe.

MagiKitty-has your house calmed down? I would have totally been freaking out. It does sound like the beginning of some strange horror movie.

Boo Hissssss
mad0214.gif
, DD just got back from the Hannah concert and had her purse pick pocketed. She was in tears-
sad0116.gif
. She said a woman on the row behind her went under her seat "looking for something". At the end of the concert she was in line with her girlfriends to get a concert t-shirt and went to pay but her wallet was gone. No t-shirt-her wallet (her favorite "chicks rule"with a chick on it) was gone. Her change purse was opened and emptied. She hated that they stole her wallet and not just the money.
I had my wallet lifted at the last Jimmy Buffet concert so I know what she feels like- the person stole her "pet sitting" money-hard earned-and it is tough to explain to a 10 year old.

THAT's AWFUL!!!! That woman should be ashamed of herself, stealing from a little kid! Geeze!!!

I agree!

:lmao: :lmao:

Thanks, I just PM'd you:goodvibes. Love the chair, do post some that you have done. Skunks, here's my smelly story. Several years back, 5 days b/f Christmas Eve, my dog was out back and I see him over something:eek:, I open the back door and the smell could knock you over. I call him and well you guessed it he and the skunk, the skunk lost but he was covered. I get him in the house. I know mistake, but like I told everyone it was cold I wasn't going to bathe him in the freezing cold and I didn't want him having lunch meat skunk. Not only did the smell permeate the whole house my clothes etc. I ran out to the local pet place to buy stuff, I cleaned with vinegar and water. I put trays of ground coffee around the house, The animal control guy told me that it helps absorb odors. Pre my candle making days I went to a candle factory near us and bought 100+ votives. My DS was about 4 and kept saying eww, it smells like onions (it was the way he said it insert nasal sound on the o and the n). BTW, The de Skunk stuff doesn't work, don't know if Tomato Juice works not a option, he's white. The vet tech to me Vinegar N Water Douche, yep that's right she said to get that put it on him and it had to sit for about 5 mins. Well that's nearly impossible to get him in the tub, but to keep him in there for 5, so I bought Hickory Farms bit size sausage and fed them to him while we waited. Yes it does work. Just what I needed to be doing a few days b/f X-mas and I have people over on X-mas Eve.

Hey Magsndden :wave2: how is Dennis doing now? Hope he is better.

Skunks must know when you are having company. One got into my BFF's house via the dog door while she was away and the night before she was to return with her parents 1)see the new house and 2)host Thanksgiving dinner. Her hubby was home alone at the time and he calls me panicked-it sprayed their dog that promptly jumped into the bed and rolled all over. Then ran downstairs and rolling on the sofa. It was a terrible mess-we had dinner at my house that year.

Did you get funny looks buying a case of douche? :rotfl2:

I have bowls of vinegar all around the family room right now and I am upstairs on the computer.
:rotfl2:

glad Rochmom is back.:)
Everyone sounds busy, way too much to comment.

My only news is that the shelter is back where it belongs and didn't blow away in the wind...yet. :thumbsup2

:dance3: Only 1 month to Disney World! :rainbow:

:wave2: Hey, Rochmom. Just bump us every now and then so we know you're there. I just got my tax papers back from the accountant. Putting refund away for airfare.

Dreamin: Tell them they can get maps as they enter the parks. The plan is to always walk to the right as you go through the parks. That way they will find themselves at a place to eat when they get hungry. Tell them to have fun and you'll see them later. And yes, you must have forgotten to recharge the cell phone. :rotfl:

Bopsmom: I love your Peeping pics. I think others do to but it's the same old idea--it one of my friends didn't write it I won't comment on it. You can always post them here if you're inpeepimated by them.

I'm not commenting on skunks...:scared1:

Just read in paper that when you call roomba for help, it's actually someone in Lancaster Co who answers the phone. Lots of companies outsource that stuff. Many were going to foreign places....and of course lots of complaints about the language problem. A company here is doing that sort of thing now.

It sounds like everyone is well now. :goodvibes

I went to a home/garden show and would love to have the money to fix my yard with water feature and patio and BBQ place. I copied the azalea info. I have an old one that I think is past it's peak so I'll have to get wacking. I did not realize I needed to sterilize the cutters. I'm lucky I have some that will cut! Of course they say snow showers tonight and maybe some tomorrow night??? SPRING please!

Just kidding! That is one place I would love to go. Ohio has Bucks County that is supposed to be nice but not as historic.

I keep running Edgar (my Roomba has now been baptized), and he's doing great, and I forget to take his picture. I know am obsessed with getting a Scooba---I hate to mop too. Think they make a Washoooba to automatically sort, wash, and fold all my laundry too? I do have to say that when Edgar is charging, his little red light "breathes", flashing and dimming. It kinda scares me. Reminds me of Maximillian from the Disney Black Hole movie, which still scares the patooty out of me to this day. Aside from that, Edgar is the new love of my life. BF is jealous.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I want a Washoooba too!

Yes I am glad that she cares, but a new tire:scared1:. See this wasn't a little nail in it that could be patched. She went over threads of the exit. You know the ones that say do not back up:scared1:

No she did not!!! No WAY!!! I hope SHE is paying for the new tire!!

You mean there's someone more technologically challenged than ME?!?!:rotfl2: Geeze, I had to read the car manual to figure out how to change the stupid clock...:confused3

I hope DH is ok driving and that y'all don't get hit too bad there! We had some major wind and rain over the weekend and it was darned scary at times!:scared1:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: But wait, they don't HAVE phones!! ("We haven't even paid the phone bill in 300 years...") I LOVE it!

OK, guess I've got my post count up enough. I'll stop now....:rotfl2:

whgrn...ok, here's the thing...I'm not usually this tech challenged. I usually am very good about keeping my instruction manuals (and I actually read them). But my stupid cousin insisted I get this alarm system for my own protection...but now someone has to rescue ME from it!

Really? 11 days until spring? Oh please, please, tell me its true! Its melted enough up here that if I squint hard enough at the snowbanks, I can almost see ground. Almost.

Okay here goes again, had most of the stuff written out and lost it:confused3 !!!

i just came up here to check our thread one more time. dennis has been sleeping since about 10:30, and it's 1 now. i'm going to wake hime, because between last night's no sleep and the time change, oh and when we were at the play, my dad put him in around 9:30! he's usually in by 7:30-8. anyway, sorry for the run-on sentence. so he's really messed up with his schedule and he's even eating less because of it. so i'm waking him up!

I was going to say give her mine, and then I could be on the phone saying you know you sound so familar:rotfl2:, wow your in Disney, I love WDW!! How's the weather?? Then I realized I'll be there the same time, so sorry, no go:laughing:. I can't do that to my Dis vacation, she'll have to whine to someone else.
The sign thing, there is one to the left, she came in from the right. I asked the same you know the initial 'how in the world did you do this, etc'. I am glad she realized it w/just the right front and didn't go further and do more damage. I was mad, as was DH, at the same time when I was driving there I thought that at least I didn't get a phone call that she had a accident, or worse someone else calling that she was in a accident, b/c she couldn't call. It just sort of put things in perspective. I still was stern initially, so that she would realize that this was big deal. Sitting there waiting for roadside, I also pointed out how empty the parking lot was and how long we had been there and not seen one police car drive by. So, one more thing to worry about having a teenage driver, is their safety going to and from the car and how safe is the area they are parked in. Of course I didn't tell her that I have come close to doing the same thing in daylight w/no rain.

Love Home & Garden shows! Waiting on tax check, rec'd state one waiting for IRS one, soon I hope. Love companies, that you speak to someone here. It so gets my goat when they are overseas.

Ah, that's to be determined. I had some stupid stuff happen when I was young. That's what being a inexperienced driver is. Getting your post count up?:thumbsup2
