Aren't grandparents great:love:.

he does that a lot with dennis. but i can't really blame him, dennis is a pretty funny boy, especially when he has the attention to himself! he also is not cranky when he stays up, so that makes him fun too.

I was going to say give her mine, and then I could be on the phone saying you know you sound so familar:rotfl2:, wow your in Disney, I love WDW!! How's the weather?? Then I realized I'll be there the same time, so sorry, no go:laughing:. I can't do that to my Dis vacation, she'll have to whine to someone else.
The sign thing, there is one to the left, she came in from the right. I asked the same you know the initial 'how in the world did you do this, etc'. I am glad she realized it w/just the right front and didn't go further and do more damage. I was mad, as was DH, at the same time when I was driving there I thought that at least I didn't get a phone call that she had a accident, or worse someone else calling that she was in a accident, b/c she couldn't call. It just sort of put things in perspective. I still was stern initially, so that she would realize that this was big deal. Sitting there waiting for roadside, I also pointed out how empty the parking lot was and how long we had been there and not seen one police car drive by. So, one more thing to worry about having a teenage driver, is their safety going to and from the car and how safe is the area they are parked in. Of course I didn't tell her that I have come close to doing the same thing in daylight w/no rain.

:lmao: that's so funny - just give her your phone number and then just chat her ear off!

Love Home & Garden shows! Waiting on tax check, rec'd state one waiting for IRS one, soon I hope. Love companies, that you speak to someone here. It so gets my goat when they are overseas.

I want one too!!! I really would love someone or thing to come and do my wash, cleaning don't mind that but:laundy: never seem to be able to keep up with.
Ah, that's to be determined. I had some stupid stuff happen when I was young. That's what being a inexperienced driver is. Getting your post count up?:thumbsup2

when i would call about my student loans - my federal student loans - the people who answered were in India. i wouldn't mind but when you're talking about money and percentages and all that stuff (which is confusing anyway), it's important to be able to understand the person! plus, they couldn't really pass you to a manager or anything because they had the same accent. it could get frustrating! now i refinanced somewhere else, so that's solved!!

hmmmm. tough call with DD about paying for the damage. she's young, does she even have the money to pay for it? it was an HONEST mistake, it's not like she knew about it before and just didn't care what happened. maybe it's best to let it be a lesson learned. don't flame me you guys- JMHO!

well i can't believe it's 6:30 and the sun is still shining! :cool1:
i hate when the clock goes ahead, but this is a great result!

I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that DL55 is at the 1 month mark for a WDW vacation.

:yay: Yay You!

Wow... You all have been busy chattin' today!! Sorry I missed it.

DL55 - Yippee!!!!!

Magikitty - "Edgar" :lmao: Love that name. Very creative.

whgrn - Would love to see ya sleep on a fence post. I see that post count is going up.:thumbsup2

Bopsmom - :furious: Theives who prey on the inocent should encounter a scared skunk!

I've been trying to post some pics of past cakes I've made, but having a bit of technical difficulty again. :headache: I'll keep trying. Be sure to get your :magnify: as we know my challenge w/ size.

Just kidding! That is one place I would love to go. Ohio has Bucks County that is supposed to be nice but not as historic.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: lOVE IT!
and they do have phones...you have to realize there are different kinds of Amish. Some have phones but not in their house. Cell phones are big with the kids too. They don't have to follow rules until they join the church. Plus with the businesses they are involved in, they have phones.

Okay...I think I figured it out. Hopefully the size is bigger than a thumbnail this time.

This is a Nemo cake I did for my son when he turned 2. Used a disposable oval turkey pan and added cardboard fins which I decorated w/ frosting.
I squeeze the little stars on one by one because I am not good at traditional frosting.

whgrn...ok, here's the thing...I'm not usually this tech challenged. I usually am very good about keeping my instruction manuals (and I actually read them). But my stupid cousin insisted I get this alarm system for my own protection...but now someone has to rescue ME from it!

Really? 11 days until spring? Oh please, please, tell me its true! Its melted enough up here that if I squint hard enough at the snowbanks, I can almost see ground. Almost.

Yup, 11 days. It can't come soon enough for me!!!!

OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! You are SOOO talented! I could never do that. The only cake I ever decorated "by the book" was a firetruck cake for DS. It took me forever. Didn't come out tooooo bad, tho.

My mom used to decorate cakes with tinted coconut. So that's the only way I knew to do it. I did a Cookie Monster cake for DD one year, and a LaLa (Teletubbies) cake another year. Pretty cute. Too bad that was pre-digital camera days, so I can't post it here.

All this talk about cake is making me hungry!!

I think I killed the Biggest Loser thread! Only 12 posts since Friday (we usually get that in a morning!), and 4 of them are from me! I've killed it! Oh no!!!!:scared1:

whgrn - wish I could see your pics. Congrats on the coconut tinting. That's more than I can do.
I guess I never noticed your weight ticker. YOU LOST 221 LBS.!!!! That's fantastic!:worship: You rock!!!

Thanks D&D. Nice to hear that once in awhile!:)

OMG...I never noticed that ticker either. And here I was impressed by the first ticker of 21 pounds! But 221 lost is AMAZING! :cheer2: You are truly an inspiration to me...

The irony of talking about beautiful cakes at the same time is not lost on me. But boy is that Nemo a work of art. And to think that you piped all those little stars yourself...I hope everyone applauded you when you brought it out! And yes, the picture is a perfect size. Congrats, congrats.

Go post on the Biggest Loser thread again and bring it back from the dead. Sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands.

Goodnight friends! Have to wake up bright early and sparkly for the DirecTv guy! Let's just hope its the same cute redhead guy from last year (BF has been fully informed....)

Magikitty - Thanks! I am very proud of that cake. Never knew I had it in me until I just did it. Wow, was I surprized! I really hated to cut it.:scared:
Good luck w/ the DirectTV guy. Hope he's hot and also hope they don't send a woman. :scared1: Not that there's anything wrong w/ that.

Great Cake! I love Nemo! Bet your hand was tired after piping all those stars. I know what you mean, hours of planning, baking and decorating to be hacked into in minutes!

Whgrn
  on the loss. Maybe spring break has started. Ours is next week.

We get St. Patrick's Day, the Vernal Equinox, Good Friday and Easter all in the same week. I hate when that happens, I like to enjoy holidays at a slower pace.

Does Edgar like Direct TV? :rotfl:

I gained this week.:guilty: My fault. Didn't count stuff and tried to make up own diet. At least I cannot take a bite of Nemo. He is so cute! :yay: I am reinspired.

I don't think you can kill the Biggest Looser thread. Everyone must be trying to make a cake cuter than Nemo! (or eating one!)

wow! what a great Nemo cake!!! i've never tried because i'm preeetty sure i can't do it! but wow!

ok, goodnight killers. i was trying to get to bed earlier since i was up half the night, but it's already 10:45.

see you tomorrow!

My DM refuses to talk to anyone who is in another country, she just plain out says "what country are you in?, I want to speak to someone in America". It is difficult, and it is for profit of big companies, they outsource take away jobs and pay someone next to nothing and make more money.
No flames here, I think you know that here we can state a opinion w/o that:thumbsup2. I happen to agree with you. She was working, but when they thought part time for a high schooler was 25-28 hrs. a week, that wasn't my idea of a p/t job. So she gave notice and will get a job again after exams. She has a little in her savings account, but as you said and I concur she made a mistake, I know she is not a crazy driver (she knows DH and I know too many cops in almost every surrounding town she drives through:laughing:). My DN lived w/me when her DH was in Iraq 2nd tour and she would take the train to work, when I told her what happened, she said the same thing, 'I know the parking there, but I could see how she would do that'. I'm not one for hard core punishment, I guess it's those Montessori prek days and Friends school for 1-5. She is responsible, she doesn't do what half the people she goes to school with does and I know what they do b/c she tells me some of the stories. That's a plus to have a teen who talks and feels comfortable that they can tell you things. How can I think it is impossible to do what she did on a dark raining night, when I have come close to doing the same? I can't, I have many more years of driving experience, okay well I'm not that old maybe just a few:rotfl:.

Oh stop, maybe they binged over the weekend and aren't ready to talk about
it:goodvibes. Get back there and get it going!

Well tonight was the 'Evening Presentation' of the state projects. All went well and the kids really did a great job with their county presentation. Some of the displays were just great, actually they all were good. I think the Parents were tired, this is a huge thing w/Sister and she puts a great deal of time into this and is so proud of her 'kids' and their public speaking. At the same time, we are all tired and found out tonight theirs another big project :scared1:, yep as she told us, 'you thought you were all done for the year? No, the children will be doing another'. This was news to us, you know as you go through the school about the 'big' states project, but this is a new one. Oh well, I guess since it's the last year for the school we'll be going out with a bang!
Good night Killers, I'm so proud I stayed caught up and had time to just chat and not just multi quote:cool1:. Sleep Tight!

good morning all!

just time to pop in for a second, i'm going to pick up maggie from school, and drop them both at SILs. then i'm going with dad to the doctor. he's doing really well, but still tweaking his meds.

i'll be back later this afternoon. see you then!
:hippie:

Good Morning TK'rs.
1/2 day at school today-Parent Conference Day.(no smilie making "pop" sound by sticking finger in mouth and twirling finger afterwards) They rush you in in 15 minutes-throw a sheet of paper at you and yell, "next"

I always hated PC day when I taught. You always see the parents that are involved and never the ones you need to contact.

What's more fun than a skunk on you back porch? 3 skunks frolicking about on your back porch!!!:lmao:
Yep it looks like there was a party out back last night. More burrows under the greenhouse, the fence, side gate. Geez, they must have had a kegger. I just hope it's not mating season.

Winkleman is totally useless at this point-she looked at me last night as if to say, "Hey, their not my friends, I didn't invite them"
Hubby is not happy. Like it's my own, personal fault.
He said, I'll go out tomorrow and get some traps-imagine, he-man,authority voice here. I said fine dear, you do that. When one hops into the trap, you will be the one to go out and pick the darn thing up and carry it off. He stopped a second and considered the logistics of the situation. I was already laughing at that point.:rotfl2:

Whoops, gotta get-early release day and all

More later.

Ssshhh...ok, DirecTv guy is here and working on my roof. Not the cute redhead from last time, but not bad to look at either. I worried that he may be allergic to cats before he entered the house. He's okay, although I do look like the crazy cat lady to him in all probability.

More skunks! It could be mating season, spring is around the corner, after all. There must be some sort of anti-skunk smelly stuff out there. They're telling others--hey this place is cool! Come on over! Let your DH find another brilliant plan, or else seek outside help. Its a shame, really, skunks are really cute when you look at them, but boy is the spray deadly.

Ooh, he's coming back. I'll talk to you later!
