D&DDisney-that cake is pretty cool looking. I would love to bake cakes for my kids' birthdays but I just am not any good at it. I'll happily continue to buy all our cakes just so I don't end up with something like this...[

No, not one of mine but I have cakes look like that before. :rotfl:

, DD just got back from the Hannah concert and had her purse pick pocketed. She was in tears-
sad0116.gif
. She said a woman on the row behind her went under her seat "looking for something". At the end of the concert she was in line with her girlfriends to get a concert t-shirt and went to pay but her wallet was gone. No t-shirt-her wallet (her favorite "chicks rule"with a chick on it) was gone. Her change purse was opened and emptied. She hated that they stole her wallet and not just the money.
I had my wallet lifted at the last Jimmy Buffet concert so I know what she feels like- the person stole her "pet sitting" money-hard earned-and it is tough to explain to a 10 year old.

yikes-don't know how I double posted this-sorry guys!

What is wrong with people. How can you even steal to begin with but to steal from a child thats the worst. Give her one of these from me

Thank you- DH said at least they didn't steal her phone! I still can't believe an adult would steal from a kid!

The Dad(bless his heart!) that went to the concert bought her a t-shirt-he wouldn't take any money though. He said since we are taking his daughter to WDW with us he'd call it even:rotfl2: (we are at the "can I take a friend along....stage and we adore his DD)

DD just saw all of your great comments and bursted out crying(happy tears) that strangers would be so nice-
Thank you all for showing her that even people far away would care for her!!!!:grouphug: !!!!

I really wanted to throw a wall-eyed, snot-nosed fit about my DD's first big "adventure" without me ending up like this but I kept my cool, thanks to ya'll.

Awww, now you got tears in my eyes. A group hug sounds perfect right now.

On a lighter note....if I buy a t-shirt for any of you, can I go to Disney too?

Only if you agree to sleep on the pull out and watch the 4 and 7 year old while the adults drink wine.:thumbsup2

BTW-cake looks totally edible to me!

Hi Everyone! I can't believe it's been almost two months since I was here.

I'm a tax accountant, so this time of year is a little crazy. Plus both DDs are in the middle school musical (Peter Pan), and DH and I have both been sick for a week. I can't believe I found a few minutes to actually log on a read a few things. Being here is definitely improving my mood.

We booked a summer cruise on one of those other cruise lines (Disney didn't have what we wanted when we wanted it), and I have to say that their message boards are really dull. I'm going to have to continue to drop by here for my entertainment fix.

I'm there. I don't drink wine either and the bed is optional. I have a 4 and 6 year old, so it will be just home. Well except I'll be in Disney and I'm sure they have to be better behaved than my two.

:welcome: back Rochmom!!!!

 whgrn!!!! Don't be trying to get in on my Disney trip. I asked first

Heck, I'd be glad to "ditch" the group that is going and have all of ya'll come instead! It would be a lot more fun and I wouldn't have to "plan" the whole ordeal all by myself.

Hey Rochmom! Welcome back! :woohoo:

I know what you mean....there will be 15 of us going this year and NOBODY wants to plan anything. My brother still hasn't made any room ressies yet even though I keep telling him it will be very busy when we go. :sad2: I keep telling them that we need to plan far in advance for everything. They keep telling me to plan what I want...they don't care. When we finally get there, I may just give them all a map and disappear for a while. :rotfl:

Be back soon guys
DD is going to bed and is reading Anne of Green Gables-she wants to read to me and it's one of my favorite books.

Had to comment! no ressies!

I'd leave them on their own too. My BIl was the same way until DH told him-listen dude, you'd better do what she (me) says or you will be sleeping on a park bench.

They told me to plan too-sorry I charge for my time!:lmao: just like Tour Guide Mike! So far they have a map and directions to the Boardwalk.

Oh, how I wish they would listen to me. DB told me about a month ago that they wanted to join us and I sent him the travel agents name and told him what to do. There's only so much I can do. I won't change my plans for any of them. I'll give them all a list of where we will be each day and they are more than welcome to join us. And it sure doesn't help that most of them have never been to WDW. They act like they are gong on a trip to the local amusement park. If only it was that easy.

Like the idea of charging for the planning. I could end up with some nice spending money if I did that. :rotfl2:

hi! i'm sure i won't remember to comment on everything, but i'll try.

first of all

welcome back, rochmom!!!

hope things are calming down now. we really needed our return, so we had our taxes done by march 1st, i think. the only downfall is it's almost gone already!

bopsmom, how horrible for your daughter, what disgusting people there are out there. but how sweet that she felt so much love from the killers!

dreamin - i think you'll be better off just removing yourself from helping plan your brother's trip. if he hasn't booked a room yet, he may not even get one. i guess you're stuck because you want him to have a good time, but if they're so lax about the whole thing, they're not taking disney as seriously as you are!

dennis is crying - see you later. up since 4 this morning with him. at least he's happy when he's up, just not tired!

the play was GREAT! i'll tell you about it later.
