Alright!:thumbsup2 I have 3 dozen in my closet too. DH doesn't know cause I didn't want to listen to "...it's gonna make a mess" lecture.
Please, Go right ahead and use them. Actually I have a couple more Peeps Corps ones that I didn't post because I didn't think anyone liked my posts.:confused3

WHAT?!?! I LOVE your posts!!! I'm laughing my head off here and on the PEEPS thread! keep 'em coming--you are SSOOOOO creative!

morning everyone!

just trying to sneak on for a few minutes before the craziness starts. DH and DS are getting haircuts here at the house in a couple of hours, maggie is spending the night at my MILs, my dad is coming over to babysit dennis tonight. why, do you ask?

we are going to the city for dinner and a broadway show!! :cool1: we're seeing "young frankenstein" with another couple, really great friends.
we are lucky to do this at least once a year with them, the boys give us these tickets as part of our Christmas present.

next weekend i'm going into the city for a couple of nights for a girls' weekend. woohoo! we are seeing "mary poppins" and going to something called "the prom" it's like an 80s prom, like tony and tina's wedding, if you've heard of that.

so i'll be busy, but i'll still be here during the week! i miss you guys!
i read everything i missed, and you're all making me laugh! i'll try to stay on as much as i can!

p.s. thanks for all your well wishes for denny. i have not been woken during the night in the last 2 nights!!

Wow, have an AWESOME time!!! Glad Den is doing better so you can relax and enjoy your night out!

:thanks:You are too sweet:hug: DH says I tend to take things too far and I thought that might have been the case with the peeps thread. I love the darlin' but opposites did attract in our case. He is very right-minded and DD and I :tilt: to the left.

Oh!! Thanks so much!! This is a huge help. The azaleas were there when we moved in, and they really seem to fit the look of the yard, but the yard is much too shady for them. Before ripping them out, I wanted to see if a good prune would redistribute some of the energy and help the plant not to be so leggy. We're on a tight gardening budget, so, although I don't agree w/ a lot of the choices the previous owners made, I'm trying to work with what I have. (I do like the azaleas, I just don't think they were the right choice for our wooded lot.) Also, we are probably going to thin some trees in the next year or so (we had 3 fall on our house during a bad storm 2 years ago and had to get a new roof :scared1: ). We love the woods and picked this house b/c of it, so we don't want to go drastic, but we do want to take down a few that are within striking distance of the house and a few more that don't look so healthy. I'm thinking that when we do this, the azaleas really might thrive.

Anyway, just rambling... I definitely have Spring Fever and just want to get outside. I'm no professional gardener, but I'm growing to love it more and more each year.

Thanks again!

I am so glad it was of help to you. I love a shady yard with azaleas under the trees-reminds me of my grandparents house in SC. I am happy to help in any way I can. I totally get having trees fell in the yard-we bought this house with 12 and we have 0 left-thanks you tropical storms!Rita missed us my about 30miles but it knocked down the last of my trees. Luckily I live on the back of a reserve and those trees are fine.
Don't appologize for Spring Fever! I love to watch things grow-I think it is wonderful when people remember to stop and watch nature. We don't have a winter, but I know I would be the first one out looking at new growth poking through the snow. I "walk the gardens" everyday at home. DH just reminds me to put on my robe when I go from side beds to front:eek:
needless to say neighbor husband has seen me in my jammies.:scared1:

Hey TKers!!!

magsnden-that sounds like so much fun. A date with hubby and a girl's weekend!!! :cool1: Hope you have a great time...you certainly deserve it after the week you had.

Bopsmom-I too love your pics and please post any and all that you want on here. I think they are hilarious. :rotfl2: And I hate to say it but sometimes the peep thread feels kinda cliquey. It's fun to read but it's not like being over here. DH and I are the same way. Nobody thought we would stay together this long and yet it's been 13 years.

Thanks, I kinda wondered. I hate to post and hear crickets.
Not here though, no one leaves you hanging.:goodvibes

I know what you mean, when DH and I passed 16 this year we looked at each other and went "huh?" 16 years? Whodathunkit? We knew each other 5 years before we got together(he was my BFF's boss and I thought he was a tighta@#, and he thought I was a flighty trouble-maker:rotfl2:) I always tell him he knew what he was getting into.:scared1: when he married me, but sometimes we forget.

I'm glad someone likes my pictures. I enjoy doing them.

If you don't mind doing at least one more, could you come up with something with a peep in disney world? I figure something like that would be great to let stepmom know we were doing this since we are the only "disney freaks" in the family. :rotfl: I'l take pics of all the different places we hide the peeps in stepmom's house and post them here.

DH is the BIL of one of they guys I hung out with in high school. We only "hooked up" because one of the guys in our group wanted to go out with my cousin, who just happened to be my ride for the night. Cousing got mad at me later for sticking with DH and "choosing him over her". So far, she has been married and divorced within one year and we are still going strong. Guess I made the right choice all along. We are complete opposites but we humor each other alot. I have a fiery temper and he's very laid back. It all works for us. :goodvibes And besides, he lets me get my disney fix once a year so how bad could it be. :rotfl2:

I am sending you a PM of image. Disney is touchy about posting pictures.

Hello...anyone here? :)
MagiKitty I giggle when I think of the Roomba bumping into everything.
Bopsmom I like your pictures too. :lovestruc

Afternoon!!!

DL55-I think everyone took the weekend off.

Bopsmom-I forgot all about Disney's policy. Heaven forbid we have a little fun with disney pictures. Sometimes, they just have to chill out with things like that.

I am planning to make the big "1 month left" announcement tomorrow. :dance3:
Are you implying that being on the DIS isn't fun enough? Oh, I think I just realized what you meant by more fun.

I've heard of Tony & Tina's Wedding and thought that would be fun to see. The Prom sounds even more fun. Is this playing exclusively in NY or will they take this on tour like T&T Wedding? Have fun but come back and tell us all about it. :thumbsup2

Bopsmom - love the peeps pics too. Keep the gardening advice coming too. :wizard: You'll be our P Allen Smith of the TK thread. I so envy you getting out there to plant already. (Even if you do have to tuck in the tomatoes at night) I thought of you when I saw the Huston rodeo on the news last night. Told DH I knew all about that and the big BBQ from my buddy's on the Dis. He laughed and said I spend too much time on this board. :lmao: :surfweb:

Our sock hop was fun but I think the kids spent more time buying things to eat then actually dancing.
Have been spending the rest of my weekend planning for our camping trip and organizing my DS birthday party in 3 weeks. Like Bopsmom, I made my own invites and now moved on to the cake. He is having an army themed b-day and I always try to find a cute cake to make. This year I am going to attempt a tank shaped cake I found on The Coolest Homemade Birthday Cakes page. We'll see how that goes. In the past I have done Nemo, Mike Wizowski (Monsters Inc.), Buzz Lightyear, Pirate Ship, a dinosaur, Nascars, and Sponge Bob all by getting ideas from this sight. Wish me luck!

I would love to have a girls night-mine always seem to include a bunch of 10 year olds.

mine says the same-I told him at least when I talk on the boards- someone listens.:rotfl:

The hop sounds like fun. So does the cake. Glad to see another mom going all out.:thumbsup2 I've been doing it for years, DH thinks I am the only one. We are having a Mystery Dinner Party for DD and 13 of her closest friends. Please give me any ideas you may have for this theme. It is set in the Bahamas(fab star invites all her fab friends to cruise the Bahamas on her boat when dumdumdaaaaa
I've got some Island theme things, but mine have come from our recent "Guys Cook" party(my last party theme was Party Gods)

Island Mystery parts sounds fun. Little more sophisticated than mine right now.
I have experience w/ kiddie parties. Pirates walking the plank or hitting a Randal shaped pinata for a Monster's Inc party. My specialty comes in with the cakes. Although I have never considered myself a baker/decorator by trade, I always TRY to create a unique cake for the kids b-days in hopes of making good memories.

Here's a beach one I found on the Coolest Cakes website:

The sand is made w/ brown sugar and then you could add a ship wrek to your scene. Let me think some more about other ideas:rolleyes:

Loving it so far!:thumbsup2 I could "float" a captain's hat on the water since that was what the "victim" of the mystery was wearing.

DD has told us(me, DH, DMimi, SIL) that as "supporting cast" we will be dressed as CSI agents-rubber gloves, makeup brushes to dust for prints, etc. :rotfl:
