Oh, BTW, I don't get the picture thing? Who is the guy, and what's the signifigance? I kknow, if you have to explain the joke, it isn't funny, but I'm just clueless here, so help me out!!:confused3

You've all been too busy for me again, but :wave2:
I'll probably try to check in more after the weekend when our houseguest is gone. (She gets in tonight. I just adore DHs aunt, so I'm very excited... didn't want that to read wrong and sound like I was looking forward to her departure when she hasn't even arrived! :cutie: )

Love the Bush pic, too funny.

Racetrack - I put the deposit down at the YMCA yesterday, DS should be starting in a few weeks. Still nervous as always, in that mom kind of way, but I feel good about the decision.

Have a great day everybody, and I'll keep trying to play catch up.

Just popping in quick before I start cooking.

Ok, the guy is Kyle Busch, nascar driver. His driving style has given him the nickname of Rowdy. He doesn't always make the smartest moves on the track and lots of people don't like him. In fact, I'm sure many would say he is a jerk among other things...lol. So, that's why I put the thought bubble on there. And that's how alot of nascar fans perceive him to be.

When we did meet him, he was very nice to all the kids in line. In fact, he only signed autographs for kids. He chatted with each one and didn't seem at all put out by any of it.

See you all later

I think thats my favorite thing about nascar drivers. (And country singers too). They are so grateful for their fan base. I still can't claim to be a Nascar fan. I know a little, and I can watch bits and pieces. And, I'm recently starting to get sucked in now and then (its definitely more fun the more you learn... if you don't know anything about the sport, it truly is just watching people drive in circles.)

But, any driver that I've seen, whether out and about, or on a show I was working on, has always tried to take time for the fans. I'm not a huge Gordon fan (although I have to like him now since Jr.'s on his team, and DH is a Jr. guy) but, I was very impressed with him when he was on air with us. His "handlers" were reminding him after the show that he really had to move along, but he stayed a few minutes anyway, and asked if anyone w/ kids could move to the front of the crowd to that all the little ones would get a chance to get autographs. I thought it was a great way to manage his time, and a very considerate thing to do.

You should make your car reservations now. Then keep checking each week for price changes.
It doesn't cost anything to change your reservation. :cool1:

Welcome! And thanks for the tip!

Grey and gloomy here. My laundry is help captive outside. It may be days before I go on search and rescue. I hate to use the dryer unnecessarily, especially when its supposed to be spring!

BTW, day 3 of keeping the number 2 spot in my fantasy league! The boys aren't talking to me anymore....poor sports.

captive laundry :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Good for you w/ the fantasy league.

Hi, Been crazy and gosh I don't think I'll ever catch up!! Can't do it now and I haven't read everything, but I don't think you have to rename the thread. I believe when they close it, it is locked but still there and they put a link to click to bring you to the continuing one. I believe others have carried the name or just added part II. Hope that makes sense. Also, they don't usually do it at 250 sometimes it takes a while and they would contact you Magikitty.

Bye for now miss you guys!!!!

Hi! (Can't get my extra smilies to open, or I would have waved.) :confused3

What is the PM chain? Am I on it? :scared: No killers left behind...right?

Well, DH's job seems to be safe...for now.

I just meant that we should PM each other if the lock takes effect. (Should we stop talking about it? I feel like when its mid winter here and people go around spelling s-n-o-w instead of saying the word for fear of it happening again. :scared1:  )

Glad DHs job seems to be o.k. for now. about the outsourcing. I guess everyone needs to work, but it seems like companies should be trying to keep things stateside these days.

Ummmm I multiquoted a bunch of others that have gone missing... sorry for anyone I missed... but, I don't have time to go back thru now.

Were the NASCAR questions answered? There are 2 Busch brothers, Kyle and Kurt. I like both of them as much as I like the Yankees! (You cannot be from the south and be a Yankee fan) So, of course, I have to find fault with them. You have to root against someone as much as you root for others. And in my case, the for is Dale Earnhardt Jr. He's #88 this year. He changed teams so now I have to at least not boo Gordon and Jimmy Johnson because they are on his team. Last year they ranked just above the Busch brothers as far as my least favorite racers. :confused3 Understand now? I guess you had to be there!
I cannot get the new smilies in here. The words and not the picture show up when I preview. I'm on a smilie kick right now...in case you hadn't noticed. I wasted too much time and could not get anything up so now I need to go.

So glad about the job. It gave you the chance to use some terrific, unused before smilies. And I forget what else to say...bye for now...

Too funny. You and DH have some of the same opinions when it comes to racing. He's trying to be supportive of Gordon now, and deal w/ Johnson, but its a struggle I think. (He's a Jr. fan) and he definitely does not care for the Busch brothers. I think its funny how fans of one driver seem to have a common dislike for other drivers. And, I know how personally the fans take it when they feel their driver has been treated unfairly too. A bad race can ruin DHs day.

I cannot get the smilies to work. I downloaded some---took forever--and they can go in my emails but not here. I followed the directions too. :confused3 Now I feel like the whole world is full of smilies that I cannot use. I guess I have enough. I'm over it.

My hair is cut. (insert long hair smilie that won't show up!) ( guess I lied-not over it.) I just wish I could style it like she does. Oh, you just blow dry it up this way----sure! At least we went to the Olive Garden. I had the leftovers for dinner. :woohoo:

All this talk about smilies sent me out looking for some. I haven't tried to download any. But I may if I don't find anything new and interesting. :lmao:

I see I'm surrounded by a bunch of Jr. fans. I better watch what I say. Oh, I do not like Kurt Busch either. He just annoys the heck out me.

M&N-I always want to get my hair cut every summer but can never bring myself to do it. Maybe once we move to florida.

D&DDisney-glad you hubby's job is safe for now. I honestly would not want to be in his shoes right now with that training situation.

D&D...so glad to hear that DH's job is in the clear (for now, anyway. One day at a time!)

I haven't even tried to find some cool smilies. I'm just lazy. But I am enjoying everyone else's!

An old boyfriend of mine was into NASCAR. I loved it! He was off watching the race for a few hours, and I had my reading/shopping/me time. No complaints. How lovely.

Whenever I get my hair cut and styled at the salon, I'm always amazed at what my hair can do. I'm always like, "that's me? What did you do?". I always try to do it at home also, blowdryer, paddle brush, and all. It never works. Its almost cruel to know how amazing your hair can look, only you can't seem to make it so.

I added ANOTHER ADR for September! Been thinking about Sci-Fi. I know, not the best reviewed restaurant, but I think we should experience at least once and I keep hearing about these darn milkshakes! Must....stop....now...

Oh! The manager at Coral Reef finally got back to me. I had contacted her last week about doing a custom menu for us when we're there. She arranged a diver for me, and I didn't even ask for it! So cool! This and the Magical Milestones tour are my big surprises for BF for our trip. He keeps asking if my surprise is another Wishes cruise, but I haven't found one yet, and it seems we're spending our entire budget on our extra meals anyway!

I finally decide to post and join you and nobody is here. :confused3

magsden-I think I'll skip that cider too. We thought about "drinking around the world" but I think we'll skip England. :rotfl: How you feeling?

Pikester-I saw you ticker says you are going om December. What week, if you don't mind sharing?

MagiKitty-How are those dining plans? Make any changes yet? :goodvibes And yes, do share about the cow autopsy!!!

whgrn-I'm so glad everything has been going so well after your surgery. You're still in my thoughts.

M&N-What can I say....Kyle Busch rocks....hehehe.

Lighttech-  the cake but way too much work for me too. Maybe I can get my daughter to try to make one. Any word on the daycare? And how are you feeling too?

D&DDisney-Keeping you in my thoughts. I hope all worked out well with DH's job.

DL55-I know there was something I wanted to say to you. Oh yeah, loving the trip report. You'll see me over there soon.

pepperw23-where are you?

I'm here!! I'm here!!! :yay: :yay: My work life has gone completely and totally insane!!!! Oh maybe it has something to do with the INSANE MANIAC I now have to sit next to!!! I think we are going to fire him though...if we can just get HR off of our backs...okay deep breaths :rotfl:

M&N...I feel that I should warn you that the Stephenie Meyer series is about vampires. Not like a thriller, although there are some great fight scenes. But mostly its about teenagers fitting in, finding themselves, figuring out their place in the world. They're making a movie of it. I also like it coz the books are big fat books, I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. The new book is about aliens, but its another love story type.

Ok, about the cow autopsy. A friend of mine was Miss 4-H, crown and all. Her science project was about the anatomy of a cow and its similarities to the human. Instead of a nice diarama or a poster, she actually brought in a recently deceased (natural death, she didn't kill it) calf, expertly filleted and on display. My poor poster didn't have a chance.

Oh goodness, ADRS are going to kill me. I have no decided to pay OOP for the Boma breakfast and added a dinner at Chefs de France, it just makes more financial sense. Of course, the best sense would be NOT to spend any extra money at all, but I figure that I should take advantage of the opportunity while I have it.

Ooh, a vote for Thread Killers Untied. (very funny, btw). A new contender. I will know open the floor for voting.

Page 251 :scared1: Another day survived...

Add my vote for the new name...love it ha ha. How did I miss that you said "Cow Autopsy?" I must have been tired.

Thread Killers Untied?!?:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: I love it! Gets my vote!!

Wonder when they're gonna close us down...

Me too!! How cute would we be?

I'll go with M&N on this one....as long as we are together on the thread. That's all that matters. MagiKitty, you need to decide. You brought us all together and you deserve the honor of picking our new name.

I agree 100%

Hey Guys!:wave2:
Just wanted to check in. Been :tilt: around here and I miss my Dis time.:sad1:

Add me to the PM thread please! Don't leave a "killer" behind!:goodvibes.
Love "untied" title.

Hope all of you are doing well.
:hippie:

Hi Bopsmom!!!

Add me to the PM thread too. I would hate to be left behind.

I was just reading my emails and had this joke...I love it.

God is Watching
Children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic school for lunch At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, 'Take only one, God is watching.'
At the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. Moving through the line a boy wrote another note to leave by the cookies, 'Take all you want, God is watching the apples.'

Thought this would give you early birds a good morning laugh.

:rotfl: :rotfl2:

We went to Sci-Fi and loved it!!! It is soooo much fun and the corny movie trailers playing are hilarious. You should go. The food was pretty good. I liked the Ribs, and the milkshakes ROCKED!!!!

How cool you got the diver at Coral Reef!!! I can't wait to see the pics. I arranged some special things for my Dad at Hoop-Dee-Doo...well the CM did ha ha. I guess she noted his birthday and said they would make it special.

Hello to everyone!!!!!!!!

Sounds like some neat plans are being made and maybe unmade (when better ideas come up).
MagiKitty-when he asks about Wishes, just say...been there, done that! :snooty:
I'm not staying on until tomorrow tonight. I feel sleepy now with 2 late nights in a row. Getting my hair cut must be more strenuous than I thought.

peppper-what insane maniac? You don't mean beaker do you? come on, you have to fill us in.

You got your post in before mine and I saw it so how can I go to sleep with that question running through my head? I've got Pepper running around the office being chased by some !!! Please answer Pepper...

She left us............her light is off. And so is mine.
Night racetrack.

Hello my fellow TK's.
I am going to ease back into the DIS. Starting out with my favorite thread.:grouphug:
I am not even going to try and catch up so I need help.
Who is new?
Anybody want to give me the cliff note edition how everyone is doing?

Enjoyed my break, but I have to say I was sad to find out about some things on here. Can't talk about it though.:sad2:
Seriously considered not coming back but I couldn't leave my TK friends.
Besides, MagiKitty and I will be traveling to Disney at the same time and both staying at the POP.
How cool is that?

I"ll post on my PTR later. Not going to stress over that right now.
I just want to start talking to my friends again first.

I MISSED ALL OF YOU.
DID YOU MISS ME?
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Shmu's back.

It's nice to hear from you again.

If you had time, you would see we did. I'm too tired to do a Cliff's version right now. I just needed to take a peek before I went to bed and found you. :woohoo: We have had several new people post. At least 2 who stayed with us...Pikester and Racetrack18kb. They both fit right in. We can play catchup better in the am. Glad you didn't let the other nastiness ruin the TKers.

I am not signing back on tonight.

Good Morning!

I didn't get a chance to get on here yesterday and I only have a few minutes this morning. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still here.

racetrack18kb "Pikester-I saw you ticker says you are going om December. What week, if you don't mind sharing?"

We will be driving :scared1: to Disney this year and staying at Pop from Dec 7th to Dec 14th. I am a little nervous about this as I am not a confident driver. We will be driving non stop (as non stop as you can get with two kids) and hope to get to Disney in 24 hrs.

To all the NASCAR fans. My husband used to be a big race fan. He got "into" it when he was 10. At that time they didn't show the races on TV so he had to listen to it on the radio. The only radio station that came in was on the radio in his parents van. His favorite was Richard Petty 43. When I met him he was a big Rusty Wallace Miller Genuine Draft fan. The first time he ever went to Disney World was when he and his parents went to the Daytona 500 and they decided to go to the Magic Kingdom for the day while they were down there. My husband also used to race cars. He drove the #15 Street Stock at a local track and he also drove the #15 6 cylinder Dirt Modified at a local dirt track. My FIL used to drive the Dirt Modified before my husband did and FIL has been involved with racing for a long time. We are no longer a racing family. FIL became ill and hubby decided it was too expensive. They are both happy to watch them on TV althought neither of them have a major favorite right now.

Oops! Just looked at the time and gotta split. I'll try to check in later.

:wave2:
