Thread For Sales at WDW Resort

Hello All!

I remember there being a thread about things that were on sale at shops at the WDW resort. Example -Last year I saw that there were picture frames at Animal kingdom that were marked down to $1.75, that were $5.00 in MK. I also saw the year before that there there was a bath set at MK that was normally 12.50 but was on sale for 2.99. Does anyone know where that thread is located?

Has anyone been to WDW recently and saw sales?

I heard the going "deal" right now is the send $50, get a towel for discount amount. Spend $40, get the Mickey Mouse watch for discounted amount.

I'd love to see this grow to something like:

Where: Animal Kingdom
Store: Name of Store or Next to XX attraction
Item:
Sale Amount:

Nothing too formal, but something that includes that information. I know how we all love a good sale! I need my money to go just as far in WDW as it does outside WDW. I know you guys are the experts!

This is a great idea, we'll be ther in a few weeks. I know when we were there last year in June there were tons of sales. They had great sweat jackets 1/2 price all over and tons of shirts, purses, etc.. Two of my absolute favorite things are WDW and sales/getting a great deal put the two together and I'm in heaven.

Last year we went to Property Control and the prices were no lower than the Outlet Stores and it was almost the same merchandise. I found it odd and only purchased 3 items. I love Property Control and love having friends that can get me in!!

From what I understand, it's the shopping that the cast members get to do which includes property merchandise? I saw it once in a trip report so I may be wrong?

The spend ____ get _____ deals are not free. If you spend the amount you can buy the "gift" item for $12-$15. Most of the shops have the beach towel and watch deal. The gift shop outside pirates had a pin starter set as the spend $50 gift and it was $15.

Property Controll is 2 buidlings on disney property that sell an assortment of things like :
* deeply discounted merchandise
* merchandise that is counted as 'flawed" when usually you have to look very hard for "flaws"

* items that are never claimed from the lost and found after a period of time ( sunglasses, towels, strollers, luggage, purchased merchandise)
* items that were used for holiday displays ( christmas, halloween, etc)
* old displays used in resort lobbies, store fronts, etc
* old furniture from resort lobbies and resturants

I believe so.

My neighbour's cousin worked for Disney. She took my neighbour one day. From what my neighbour said there are two rooms. She was allowed into the one room but only CM's were allowed into the other room.
