Thoughts or suggestions on this

We will be staying at The Dolphin Cove Resort but we do not have a car. Originally, I thought we would take one of the shuttles and then take the ART shuttle to head to Target for groceries. Now I am thinking maybe I should just rent a car for one day and go to a local grocery store the day we arrive. I thought I would rent from Budget be because I think there is one in walking distance to the hotel. Is this right?Does the target near DL have food?

I don't think i'd hire a car just for that though, it wouldn't cost a lot in a cab but then I suppose if you hire a car you could go to other places to shop if you wanted LOL

It is fairly close, IIRC it looks like an Ihop, with a blue roof.

If they stick you on price, consider hertz of Enterprise they are in the convention center hotels. Also you may look further, these places use remote lots and it's possible the shuttle to the lots could take you back to Dolphin Cove.

You could also look into ordering online and arranging a grocery delivery from Vons to your hotel - first time is free delivery if you haven't used them before.

I would do grocery delivery. Even if you have to pay a delivery fee, it'll probably be less than a car rental and less of a hassle.

I did this last year. I rented a car for one day..the day we flew in..and did some grocery shopping,Disney Character Warehouse,Target,and Krispy Kremes(?) because we don't have them in Canada. Total charge for the car..$28 and $6 for gas. Totally worth the money. We stayed at the DLH and rented from Alamo,but it would most likely be the same at any rental for a mid size car.
