Yeah, if you stay long enough to be able to take "one day off" from the park. Perhaps a full day at the resort might be too much, so hopping a bus either in the morning or early afternoon to a mini golf course could be a great way to spend some quality time!
I've been to both, and my personal favorite is Fantasia Gardens, but for kids I'd recommend Winter Summerland.
I have enjoyed the Fantasia course a few time.
But I agree with PP, I would not take limited park time to mini golf. We are DVC members, go most years and were having a "down" day. If it was a short, once in a lifetime trip, I would do the unique to Disney theme parks.
What are your thoughts on the mini gold courses? Is it worth it to take time away from the parks? Which is your favorite: Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland? And why?
We did Fantasia mini-golf last year and liked it. We did it late evening, and the HS fireworks went off while we played. I don't know about "giving up park time", though. I wouldn't trade my park plans for it. I would take it out of resort time. It was relaxing, charming and low-key fun, but not a must-do.
