Thoughts on Teppan Edo?

My family and I booked the CP package at Teppan Edo on December 19, and I would love to hear some opinions. I haven't been able to find too many reviews on it, and I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't get Le Cellier or Coral Reef.

My family does love Japanese food, but my brother has a large appetite and I'm hoping it will be enough food for him!! The portion sizes are hard to tell from pictures.

Thanks!!:flower3:

We were on the bounceback free DDP. We absolutely loved it! :woohoo: However, they sit 8 people at a communal table. So, you will probably have others with you. We had a nice couple with 2 children who were very well behaved and polite.

We just ate there on Thursday and everyone was pleased! My only complaint would be the dessert options. Like another poster said, I would choose the ice cream.

Each of us chose something different and tried a bite of each dessert. My daughter had the best one -- the chocolate cake! And, I'm not a cake person, but it was wonderful!

WE have ADR's for Jan. and are traveling with very picky 12 & 8 yr olds. Will they find anything there to eat? They don't have mac and cheese hiding in the back somewhere do they? :rotfl2:

Our family loves it. It is my DH one requested of a place to eat every time we go to WDW. We are going in Oct. and it is on our list. It is really nice for us because we have a group of 11 and can all sit at the same table.

I'm glad you said this about the tables, because I was just about to ask about the table size. We will have a group of 12 (10 adults, 2 kids), will all of us fit around the one table?

Sorry to but in on this thread but my family would like to try Teppan Edo next Easter. We won't be on the DDP though, is it worth it if you are paying OOP?

Thanks

debcartee: This is one of our favorites and I have super picky eaters. If your picky eaters like meat they will find something to eat.

Treacle44: We are not DDP. It is an expensive meal - we only have 2 ADRs for our next trip (Teppen Edo and Le Cellier (lunch)). We tend to be food court, counter service types.

How do they do it if you want to share some things? We have a Japanese place near home that allows us to split combos among ourselves (we have 4 DD's). There will be 7 of us total at Teppan Edo. Will we each be required to order a separate meal?

Great food, adequate serving sizes for all in our family. In fact, DW and I are visiting for our 15th anniversary in Nov. and this was the 1 place she said we had to return to. We really enjoyed the atmosphere.

The only downside we remember from our visit last December was a good wait even though we had ADR's (maybe 1/2 hour or so... it was very crowded and they were running late) and a sort of silly couple we dined with... They probably thought the same thing about us :)

Have fun!

We just went to Teppan Edo on our last trip and we loved it! I thought it was plenty of food and it was delicious and our cook was really great. I would definitely recommend it!!

From my understanding and remembering from our last trip the tables fit either 12 or 14. I was told with a group of 11 we will all be at the same table so I assume they at least fit 12. You can always call reservations to find out for sure.

We had dinner here on our trip this August, and we absolutely loved it!
It is a must do for our next trip.

I wonder if the cake is different. DH had the chocolate ginger cake and I didn't like it at all! We had all the options represented, I think...

As for table size, ours barely fit our party of 7 comfortably. I'm guessing maybe there are larger ones somewhere?
