My family and I booked the CP package at Teppan Edo on December 19, and I would love to hear some opinions. I haven't been able to find too many reviews on it, and I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't get Le Cellier or Coral Reef.

My family does love Japanese food, but my brother has a large appetite and I'm hoping it will be enough food for him!! The portion sizes are hard to tell from pictures.

Thanks!!:flower3:

We loved it there! I thought the portion size was good. It wasn't huge, but it was just right. The food was very good and we all loved the chef we had. It was a great time! We are going back in Jan. It is now a must do for us on each trip.

We ate there before the change many times and liked it but I cannot bring myself to eat there at that price when they do not include shrimp appie, soup, salad and fried rice like our local places at home do. If I did not have a Hibachi place close to where I live I would def go to Teppan Edo.

The price really isn't an issue for us since we are doing the DDP, and but looking at the menu, I can see that we would probably skip it if we didn't have the plan.

Glad that the food is tasty though, and it's nice to hear they have good serving sizes.:thumbsup2

Does anybody have any dessert recommendations?

We went there last fall and the food was fabulous - definitely one of the best meals of the trip. And the filet mignon was fantastic!

Yeah, I can see this being frustrating. I agree - if they don't include those things and you have a hibachi place near home that does, eat elsewhere at WDW.

We ate there a few weeks ago and really liked it. (I do agree that it is not the best deal if you are not on DDP.) The chef was good and gave each of the kids (4 at our table) some individual attention which they all loved. Between DMom, DS9, DD5 and I we had steak, shrimp, chicken and scallops and all were very good. There was enough food that I was plenty full. However, we got a fruit tart and the ginger cake for dessert and didn't really like either. Personally, I would just stick with the dish of ice cream if I went again.

My sister and I are eating at Teppan Edo with our Candlelight Processional package in December. I have never eaten at a Japanese restaurant, so I'm really looking forward to it. We are on the Dining Plan.

We had ADR's for Tepen Edo for our trip this past May. I really wasn't looking forward to it (it was DH's choice) since we have so many places just like it here at home. I was very plesantly surprised! It was a little different than what we get at home and WONDERFUl!! I'm taking my mom there in Dec. on our "Mom & Daughter" trip.

It was our best meal of our August trip - definitely in the top 3 we've ever eaten at WDW.

DH and I both got combo meals and it was lots of food - one steak and one chicken breast for me (I didn't come close to finishing it) along with veggies and rice on the side, and one steak and 6 or 8 very large shrimp for DH.

The kids loved the meal...DS still talks about going back for shrimp and noodles.

Wow, THANK YOU so much everyone!!

It's so wonderful to hear how many of you loved it, I'm surprised it isn't discussed more on the DIS but maybe I should be grateful because that means I was able to get ADRs.

Now ssssshhh... let's keep this on the down low.:rotfl:

We eat here every visit for our first night! We have many hibachi style restaurants locally, but Teppan Edo is the closest to what we ate in Japan. (that also accounts for no fried rice, sticky rice is what is served:)

The chefs are great, my past fav dessert was the green tea ice cream, which has been replaced with green tea pudding. It is a SHAME to call this terrific dish pudding. It is closer to flan, and was FANTASTIC!

We love Teppan Edo, it is a must do every trip. We (3 adults) go in October for the F & W fest and this is the restuarant that adult DS chooses for his birthday dinner.
We really enjoy it

We just ate there on Thursday and everyone was pleased! My only complaint would be the dessert options. Like another poster said, I would choose the ice cream.

Having been to all three (LeCe, Teppan Edo, and Coral Reef) on our past trip...

TE is the only must-do for us for our trip next summer. They were all GOOD, but TE was the best. We LOVED it.

Our family loves it there. We have a similar style place near our home, but I've found the food quality to be much better at Teppan Edo. We love the desserts at the bakery in France, so we usually stop by there after eating dinner at another restaurant, although that may not be convenient for people on the dining plan.

Our family loves it. It is my DH one requested of a place to eat every time we go to WDW. We are going in Oct. and it is on our list. It is really nice for us because we have a group of 11 and can all sit at the same table.
