When we were just there a few weeks ago, we were a party of 2 and were sent to the left, which was a much longer line than the right side. So I don't understand the rest of your resaoning, since we were sent to the left instead of the right. The sorting happens after the second FP+ tap, BTW.
Ah, that explains things. we were there last week and whenever we had a fp for tsmm, we were directed to the left side ramp. I was confused as this dumps us in with the stand by folks. EVERY time the right side was so much shorter and the line moved very quickly, and people who were way behind us in FP line were loaded before us and we were stuck waiting on the stairs. We kept wondering why we were lumped in with the stand by line. We are party of 4.
- The thread is about how they have changed the loading by designating one line for even groups and one odd groups.
- I was responding due to confusion with the post above.
- Yes this is after the SB & FP merge (aka Mickey second scanner).
- After passing through this scanner there is no longer a SB and FP line, not the new loading method or the old loading method.
- I was responding because PP thought it was wrong that their even group was sent left when they had a FP.
- After the second scan there is no longer any FP or SB line, everyone is together.
- For many years the left lane was for all parties greater than 2 (so 3 or more) and the right lane was for parties one or two only.
- The vehicles are two cars with four benches so if they ended up with an empty bench they would put one of the one or two in it.
- It would be the equivalent of a Single Rider line other than the wait time before the 2nd scan area. (honestly if they expand this style of load single rider may go away)
- It was still this way in May.
- From reports it sounds like they decided to start loading like 7DMT and fill all seats.
- So now the left lane is for even numbers (your parties) and right lane is for odd parties.
- Previous to the new plan a party of four would have still gone left, a party of 2 would have gone right.
- Which lane had nothing to do with FP, the FP advantage was not being in the long queue before this merge point.
- After the second FP scan all are merged, much like other attractions.
