Thoughts on free dining coming back this year?

So the question is the same as I have seen many times before. but I still have to ask. Do you think they will offer free dining????

We have been going to WDW every year and we book for the following year before we check out. I know this was crazy, but we did not book last year as we were just not sure if we wanted to return this year. We go with a large group of firends and we started to think about going someplace else for this years vacation (crazy, I know). When we got the bounce back offer in our room we did not book to get the free dining...

Now, I have seen the other offers and wanted to know everyones best guess. Do you think they will bring the free dining offer back this year? We always go in September and the offers for this time frame should be coming out in the next month (end of Feb, March)... The gift card is 'ok' but its not as good as the free dining plan for us.

It really is hard to say.....previous to the free DDP they never offered any promo for more than 2-3 years in a row. This one has run for 5 years.

It does seem to pack people in at a time of year that normally would be very quiet.

I think that they will. We booked the bounceback last year for August. They seem to offer the same deals as the bouncebacks from the previous year.

Yes, I think they will. BUT the free dining being offered may only be the QSDP and not the DDP.

I had a chance to visit with a Disney rep at my AAA TA office 2 weeks ago and he said he wasn't sure if they would. He said this first time with the gift cards is a trial and it's possible they will offer that in the fall instead or they may not offer anything at all.

This not the first time they have had a gift card promo...this one is different in that each resort level gets a different amount on the card. They had the card promo last year at this time and you could easily get more than one card. Also, you didn't have to buy park tickets to get the card.

Right now there is a PIN for FD....which makes the possiblity that much greater that it will open up to the public....this happened in the fall. Also, someone posted on another thread that while booking a room the CM told her to check on March 1st for FD to be available for her late August trip.

Free dining is already being offered to the UK market so I would imagine it is just a matter of time before it opens to the US and Canadian markets. We've already booked to go in October 2010 and got free dining.
