Thoughts on Continental?

I've never flown Continental before, but since SWA fares do not seem to be coming down for my trip in Oct. I need to explore other options. Found a decent fare this morning PVD to MCO but it does connect in Newark. I have no experience with that airport either. So what do you think of Continental? On-time? Always changing flight times? Anyone flown through Newark? I'll never connect through JFK again. Is Newark just as bad?

TIA for any info.

Newark airport is 30 minutes from my house, we fly out of there all the time. I have never had any major flight delays (except for a weather related flight delay). Newark is nothing like JFK, I would avoid flying out of JFK as well. Newark airport one of the main hubs for continental flights.

I fly through LGA, JFK and EWR (Newark) quite a lot because Syracuse doesn't offer many direct flights outside these cities (DCA and DTW are also common connections) and I can honestly say, I have the least issues with LGA and the most with EWR, they are delayed all the time from my personal experience. That said, I still fly Continental through EWR because I like Continental and they have some of the better/newer planes (their First Class is nice too - plus meals).

I don't know about the airports you'll be flying out of but I love Continental and prefer to fly them. I've flown with Contienental at least 5 times this year and prefer them over any of the other airlines that fly out of my town.
