Thoughts from 1st DVC Trip!

Thanks for posting and happy to hear your first trip home was worthwhile. I won't be going home unitl June but I am concerned that you were allowed to smoke in a non-smoking room. DS is highly allergic and I don't want to spend our vacation in the emergency room because the front desk can't book people where they request! I am angry (not at you) that they would allow this to go on.

Any way, it sounds like you planned on eating a lot in your room. We plan to do the same in June; although DH wonders if it is worth it since we will be on vacation. Annmarie

Which is why, after much thought, I chose to post the info.

margaretCT,
If I knew you were there I would've walked over to meet you. I found out the other day there was a few others from CT there as well.
Yes it was real pleasure to leave 75 degrees, green and sunny for snowing, brown and gloomy. ;) I can't seem to warm up now.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement on quitting this nasty habit. (even tho I thoroughly enjoy it for some strange reason)

Candlelady,

Have you ever heard of the Mad Russian in Brookline, MA? He helps people to stop smoking. DH went to see him over 15 years ago. DH never smoked a cigarette again. Many people have gone to this guy. If you are interested, I can get you his information. I know that it takes months to get an appointment with him.

I'm glad you feel you made a good investment; I feel the same way. It is the best investment I've ever made!
I know how hard it is to give the 'habit'. I tried several times before I finally made it. And I understand completely that you 'enjoy it', I did too. After 15 years of not smoking, I still wish I could have 'just one'. I was a 3 pack a day, chain smoker; so if I did it so can you! We visited WDW shortly after I had quit and I carried straws cut in half to chew on. Good luck and enjoy all your future WDW vacations!
