Our thoughts are with you as we, along with many others unfortunately, know only too well how difficult these times are for everyone concerned. DW lost her father to cancer on Friday so it is all still very raw for us, but it is amazing how much sites like this can help - if only to give you some sort of escape from reality for a few minutes a day.

Thinking of you, i hope the operation i successful. I lost my MIL to cancer last year and the feelings are still raw

DW, FIL and myself went into hospital this morning just before MIL was due to be taken to theatre. They let DW walked down all the way to the theatre with her.

Op. was at 10am and she was back up on the ward at 1:30pm and, touch wood, the operation went well.

DW and FIL have just gone off to visit (visiting is cut to just an hour in the afternoon and an hour in the evening due to MRSA precautions!).
