We are staying at BWV for 3 nights in Aug. We have an ADR for Cape May...wondering how Spoodles is for breakfast. Are there other breakfast options over in that area? Thanks

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club has an AWESOME Character Breakfast Buffet IMHO

Spoodles has a very good breakfast - or did two years ago.

We usually make eggs in the room.

The Boardwalk Bakery has (not a surprise) baked goods, including decent rolls for breakfast.

Spoodles is really very good and really cheap. Cape May cafe is also very good. Yachtclub Galley has a good breakfast too, but I like Spoodles a little better.

I know you didn't ask about lunch, but my family loves lunch at ESPN. We all think the burgers are way bigger and better than Beaches and Cream. They have great appetizers too.

Had Spoodles for breakfast back in May, and it was really tasty--DH wants to go back in January. They have the "normal" breakfast foods, and then some with some Mediterranean feel to them. And don't forgot the BW Bakery for breakfast treats--Yummo!:thumbsup2

The Marketplace at BC has a limited number of excellent b'fast options, too...hot & cold (their fruit parfait is awesome)...only about 5-6 choices, but it counts as CS rather than TS and it is really good...

It's good for what it is - fast food for people rushing off to park openings. Anyone staying in the Epcot resort area is really missing an opportunity if they don't try Spoodles for breakfast during one of the "sleep in" days of their visit (we actually enjoy doing it on check out day; it's a very nice "kiss goodbye.");)

There's also the Yacht Club Galley in that area. They offer breakfast as either buffet or menu order, your choice. I've eaten there twice and been very happy both times. I also love Cape May Character breakfast.

We also ate at Spoodles once years ago for breakfast and were happy with it. I think someone had a "breakfast pizza."

We usually stick to eating quick in the room or stopping at the Boardwalk Bakery. I was a big fan of the famous "Cinnamon Yummy" for awhile, but this trip I was addicted to the never before seen Sticky Buns! :woohoo: An Atkins dieter's worst nightmare. They also have breakfast paninis which got good reviews and every other kind of morning bakery treat you could ask for.

Thanks we plan on eating at ESPN ZONE at least once...maybe twice.

At the bakery...do they have things like bagels and cream cheese or is everything sweet? Thanks.

They have muffins and croissants I believe..

We usually make breakfast in the room, but...

I had breakfast at Spoodles years ago, and it was pretty good...

We did Cape May for the first time this year and that buffet was AWESOME! A ton of variety, plus four characters.. :thumbsup2

We really like Spoodles for breakfast and we even do Cape May too.

The Bakery has baked goods and other stuff like bagels and donuts and fruit cups ( fresh cut fruit , no syrupy stuff ) and they now serve breakfast sandwiches too!

Traditionally, our last breakfast in WDW is at Cape May...we love it. The characters are a hoot, and the food is great. Then, at least once we eat breakfast at Spoodles. Everyone in my family loves it there. And, of course, we get some yummies at the Bakery at least once or twice. But, I also have some bagels/cream cheese, milk, bananas, dropped off by a grocery service. That way we don't have to have all our breakfasts out!

There's also Picabu at the Dolphin (formerly Tubbi's). It's cafeteria style, but they had a pretty decent selection of breakfast items - the usual eggs, bacon, and cereal, plus I think they had waffles and pancakes, too. It was a nice alternative to the Bakery or the Marketplace, but much faster than a sit-down restaurant. Fresh used to have an awesome breakfast buffet, though I hear it's scaled back (I haven't tried it in a couple of years).

Cape May breakfast is our traditional last morning breakfast, too. Great food, great characters.

We ate at Spoodles quite a few years ago for bfast and it was good. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was dead - only 2 other families were there when we were there. I think it's a great little secret breakfast restaurant.

If you have breakfast at Spoodles, don't forget the DVC perk:
"Soak up the taste sensations of the Mediterranean Sea while you enjoy a 10% discount on breakfast at this family-friendly restaurant making creative cuisine from fantastically fresh ingredients. "
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast there.

Wow, thanks! I wasn't aware of that one. I was just thinking last night of eating breakfast my last morning at Spoodles and paying OOP because the menu offerings were so inexpensive. This makes it even better.

I found staying at the board walk last year, counter service places were a big big problem. at the pool had to walk over to b/c to get lunch and had to carry them back to the pool area at bw. did not like that there was no counter service for breakfast either, that is a major drawback to us. came back to our room one day and ran out to get lunch for a counter service and nothing was open during the day except to get a slice of pizza for lunch. I honesty did not think about going over to swan and dolphin. does any one know if they have a counter service and not sit down.
