I still have points in my UY that I will need for January. My DSIs has a place to stay in the treehouse in October, but not for the 2 nights before the THV. Will MS rent me those for 2 nights in a studio for DSis even though I have point that I could use.

thank you.

I think MS can rent up to 24 points at $15 per point. I'd probably go through David's rentals instead.

Bobbi I am not 100% certain but when I did this for our last trip I seem to remember that MS said that any points sitting in the current UY had to be used already or in other words already 'committed' to an upcoming reservation before those additional points could be purchased.

btw, my family & I spent day in Cape May on Good Friday after staying 2 days in AC; it was rather cold & misty-drizzle but always so nice to be there :goodvibes, told them about you being a fan of CM too, yay Cape May :cheer2:

I'll be in Cape May for a good portion of July to August....if anyone ever is there then, I would love to meet you and show you around the area!

I did call MS and was told that I could buy the points even if I had points in the UY. I have also mentioned to DSis that she could rent points here from Disboard people, or even get a place at a Value resort. We'll see how it evolves. Nancy has always wanted to stay in a treehouse, but I figure that a 5 night stay at Disney is always better than a 3 night stay!

The make-up points make more sense if you are just a few points shy of a night. If you need two nights, you may want to price member-discounted cash nights through MS. If that didn't work out, then I'd look to rent points.

Thanks...I'm not paying for the points. So, I'm giving DSis some ideas of what she can do. Easy way...I book for her, she pays me $300 for the 2 nights. A bit more work, probably $200 from renting from a member. Another option, she calls and gets 2 nights at a value or someplace. DSis likes it when I play travel agent. She has many many qualities that I take advantage of, but booking things at Disney is something she likes me to do!:goodvibes

I will keep that in mind, that would be nice :) When our kids were younger & during our pre-DVC years we'd take a trip to Wildwood Crest/CM for at least couple of days each summer. I was glad to see the Merion Inn wasn't too badly damaged by fire & remains in business.

Good to know about purchasing additional points through MS :thumbsup2 it does make more sense what MS told you, because that would leave open the option to bank current UY points.

Bobbi, I just recently bought 11 one time use points to finish out my March reservation at AKV. It was really easy, and I made it about as complex as I could, because I was using AKV borrowed points, OKW current points, and some of the one time use points.

Great info since I'll be trying something close to this for a few nights at Aulani in Jan. I have enough points I can borrow for standard or island view, but I'll need to add some one time points if we have to get a pool or ocean view.
