Those of us who didn't get an e-mail

I didn't get the e-mail for the resorts, but I did get the "It's time to make arrangements for your dining". I would rather of had the other e-mail.
 
I've never received an offer from Disney for WDW properties. :( But if I did, I think I'd find a way to use it even if I didn't initially have a trip planned for the time frame it covers - anything for a WDW fix with a discount! ;)

For now, I think my only hope for a WL discount is to wait for general public codes for Oct - Dec. PLEASE, Disney Marketing, make these available SOON!:wave2:
 
I didn't get any email. My 13 year old niece got a postcard, but we got nothing. Disney likes sending emails to me, but I guess since I've already book POFQ for Dec they figured they had me suckered in at the AAA rate. Sure would like that email though.
 
I had previously posted that I had never received an e-mail discount or a postcard discount but when I went into my e-mail box this morning......I HAD AN E-MAIL DISCOUNT!!!!!!!! I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!!!!! The funny thing is: I called last night and spoke to a very nice CM about any AP discounts or any discount codes and he said there was nothing available and I had no pin # next to my name. So, I politely told him we would not be interested in making a reservation at this time and that if discounts (AP, general code, e-mail. etc) came out, we would probably call back. Well, less than 12 hours later, I GOT AN E-MAIL DISCOUNT!!!! I will be calling them to reserve our room after I post this e-mail!!

I had also posted that I didn't get an email, but this morning, when I got to work - there was my e-mail!!!!!!!! I was so excited!
I've already called and booked my room at Pop Century!!!!

Can't believe I finally got an e-mail/postcard!!!!!!!! Yeah - happy dance for me!

Maybe they sent out the second round because there hasn't been a big response from the first email? I already have a trip booked for Oct. but I am waiting for codes to book our December trip. I don't think I am going to go in Dec if we don't get a code.

Im going to call and see if they sent me one and I didn't get it, I think I registred on the site under one of my old email addys.

I just went back and re-registered with my work addy and requested a video...ohh yeah and I did the survey...pick me, pick me to send an email to!!!
 
I say we boycott WDW... :mad: sorry, I couldn't even keep a straight face as I was typing that. :teeth:

Perhaps we could start a letter/email writing campaign to suggest/request that Disney create a special discount group for people registered with the DISboards :) Seems to make as much sense as offering discounts to only people who live in certain states, have certain professions, ordered the VPK video, etc. Of course, we'd need to set some limitations, such as the registered person must be an "active" member, i.e. at least "lurking" on a regular basis even if he/she doesn't post often if ever. Also, must have been registered and active for at least a month. I'm sure there are a few other guidelines that would help weed out people who register only for the discount possibilities.

I bet if they did offer discounts to this group directly, they'd have a much higher success rate than they do other offers.

So, who's with me on this?

Starting to think our recent purchase of APs was a bad idea. I love WDW but this is email thing is upsetting me. Feeling unloved and getting angry!

DH really wanted to go to Europe; but convinced him WDW was a better idea for DD 2 who has never been on a plane. Now the cheap airfare to Europe is gone, too! I can't win!

Sorry I neede to rant a little. This waiting is taking all the fun out of planning our vacation!

My friend got an email. We are going at the same time, except she is staying longer. I have Poly GVC booked and she has the WL booked. She checked and could not get any rooms at the Poly. She did get WL CL for $260 for the dates she is there. Oh well, I will keep my fingers crossed for AP rates.

Hey, I'll boycott with ya! I hereby declare that I am going on a Disney hunger strike and will not set foot in Disney World for ... um ... 80 days!!!

Seriously though, I had been thinking of skipping the Disney vacation next year and doing a week at the beach instead. I was really on the fence but this whole e-mail thing really has me ticked so I think Disney might have made my mind up for me! :mad:

I just posted this on another thread, but I got an email today, but it won't do me any good! It seems some of the blackout dates, occur during the Thanksgiving week when we're going. Wouldn't you know it?:(
