Those in Chicago area - annoying commercial!

I think its just a local commercial, but not positive. Is anyone else sick of all the Walter E Smithe (thats Smith with an 'E') commercials? Now they're even on the KFC 10-4-6-99 commercials! DH & I always say, that makes us NOT want to go to their store. Anyone else annoyed w/those?

I'm surprised that all of the Smithe brothers can fit in one camera frame of the commercial, because their heads are huge!! Do these guys think they're funny? Do they write their own stuff for this??
Do they think putting Martha Sewart in their commericals added class to them?? I thought she came off really snitty. What a strech!!

I've got to the point where I hit the mute button the minute a commercial comes on because there is way too many. The one commerical I hate the most is the work out one were Cher is singing.


I admit I do like the one with the two men dancing woo baby baby baby baby while the other one is sitting there with the boom box. That one always cracks me up. Can't even tell you what it is all about cause their dancing makes me laugh.

I totally forgot about those until now! Those were the WORST.

I loved the one where she held the two eggs in front of her chest.

What really made me howl is how after the "lead" dancer found out the information for the manager guy, he went right back into his dance and did not miss a beat.

It took me awhile to figure it out also; but they are advertising a cell phone service. BTW, the song that they are dancing to is Push It by Salt-N-Pepa.

Yeah, I remember that one. the guy is Mancow, the one that his glasses are flopping off. I think he still has his radio show on Q101, Mancow in the Morning?
The Menards commercials are annoying to me, must be the music they use and the singers. Kind of reminds me of Toy Story 2, with the Al's Toy Barn Commercial.

Also that Bob Rorman car dealership commrcial drives me nuts.

I actually love the 'Push It' commercial w/the guys dancing as well. It was funny, on WGN they copied it and made their own version the other day...Tom Skilling (he wasn't dancing), Paul Konrad and another weather guy were dancing though. Funny.

Before I even opened your thread, I knew exactly what commercials you meant. I swear I literally cringe whenever I see those Smithe Brothers.

Oh no... Smithe furniture commercial are a walk in the park compared to those A$$ANINE commercials from Bay Furniture. The cartoon ones that show a newly married couple. It says something about a "dresser for his boxers". Red heart boxers no less!!

Acck, they freak me out and I have to shut them off the minute they come on. I will never buy furniture from Bay.

OK don't hate me but I like the Smithe Bros. commercials..... Now LUNA Carpets is a whole nother story!!!!!!!!! Ok how about the commercial for the flooring store where the guy doesn't want to be in the commercial and the whole time they are filming him trying to hide from the cameras..... That one is WAY cheesey!!!!!!
