The best thing about Disney and staying in the resorts is the overall feel. On our stay in 1999 at ASMo, my son came down with the chicken pox...yep...covered! :3dglasses I went to get him a "Mickey" from the gift shop and I was telling the lady behind the counter what had happened. She took the Mickey stuffed animal and said I'll have it delivered from MICKEY! Well, I went back to the room and about 30 minutes later there was a knock at the door. :earseek: OKAY>>>>>> I know what your thinking....no it was not Mickey Mouse....but his faithful servant....an older gentlemen dressed in a tux came in and handed my DS the Mickey and said, "Mickey said, He hopes you feel better!" :dancer:

MY SON and us beamed all day! THAT made the trip so special and get this there was NO CHARGE for the Mickey!!!!!!! :thewave:

We have told this story to sooo many of our friends and they could not believe it!

This once in a lifetime WDW moment will be with our family forever! SO... :grouphug: Disney is special and staying on-site is spectacular!!!! or should I say FANSTASMIC! :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

What a touching story. That is why I always argue with people who say that WDW is "just" an amusement park. It is SO MUCH MORE!!!

Thanks! We are returning this year....and i am not holding my breath, but you never know...it is DISNEY! :rotfl:

I heard a similar story at a business seminar when a housekeeper over heard that a child did not feel well and had spent most of the day at the hotel (on site). When the child felt well enough to go eat later in the day....the family returned to find a Mickey on the bed with a note saying "I hope you feel better and I will see you soon".

Thought it was a great story and a example of a employee taking "ownership" of a problem and turning it into something that will be the highlight of that family's trip.
