This week I used up my last bottle of Disney H20 Shampoo. No, I didn't stock up when they announced that the company that supplied it would shut down. Instead, just before the announcement I had bought 3 or 4 bottles of it during a visit to WDW. Then my wife had gone on-line to buy some bottles for a Christmas present to me. At the time she did this, they were having a promotion if you spent X number of dollars, they would include a freebee, so my wife bought 4 or 5 bottles to meet the minimum.

When I opened the package, I mentioned to her, that I had a three or four year supply now. Little did I know, that it was more than that. I developed liver issues which ultimately led to a liver transplant a year and half ago. Leading up to that I spent a total of 5 and 1/2 months in hospitals a week or two at a time. Between that, and getting different holes punched in me that precluded me from getting the "hole" wet for a day or two, plus having doctors appointments early in the morning, my supply stretched way beyond my initial prediction, until this week. :)

I just donated some of the little ones I came across when I was cleaning my bathroom closet. Had I known, I would’ve sent them to you. If you can’t find them in resorts, as suggested above, check EBay and other places on the internet, I’m sure you could find some there. I still buy a coloring shampoo I started using 30+ yrs ago which I can no longer get locally. It’s a little pricey, but I can still buy it here and there. It would make a good holiday present for you, suggest it to family as people are often looking for ideas. ;)

Congratulations on your liver transplant, so glad things went well for you. I work with heart transplant patients and those waiting in hospital. It’s a long, hard road. I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve been in cancer treatment all of this year, process started in January, and I won’t be done until November or December. Second round. Little Disney things can be like a lifeline. Was fortunate to enjoy a trip a few weeks ago and it was just what I needed.

Going forward, wishing you continued good health.

Careful with eBay… they can be fake knock offs!

The stuff in the shops are not the exact same thing. At least not what I bought. Completely different. But I did get my off Ebay.

I knew Disney had bought the formula for the shampoo and have been supplying their hotels rooms with it along with I think the cruise ships, but didn't know that they were selling it retail. I may have to look for it, in November. I was not particularly in looking for more. The primary reason why I bought it originally was I liked the aroma, it reminded me of eucalypts which is a calming aroma for me

Thanks for the kind thoughts on my transplant. Pre-transplant was bear, but my post-transplant went relatively well, they had to do some "clean-up" work but not too bad, I tell people I am now in "maintenance mode" where I get a blood draws every four weeks, to see if they have to adjust my dosage of the immune suppression medicine. My first post transplant trip was a long weekend to visit Disney Springs and to resort hop.

I can't figure out if the Spa Disney products they sell in the store are the same as the ones they supply in the room - for example, the shampoo doesn't look green...
