This time we did it right! We're back!

LOVE the Clue idea!!!!

I still can't think of anything for DH and I!! :rotfl2:

I have another month to come up with something besides the MNSSHP tee shirts!!!

You should google "couples costume ideas". That's what I did to find the Clue idea!

It'll probably come up with a bunch of lists. I'm sure some of the ideas will not be so good, but some of them may be great!

The whole time this trip has been in the works, I have been worrying.

Worrying and worrying and worrying.

What could I be worried about, you ask?

Well, the plan is for Beth and Jason to leave new baby (will be 3 and a half months old at the time of the trip) at home with Beth's mom.

What I'm worried about is that when it comes down to it, Beth will not want to leave baby Blaize for 6 days. In which case Blaize could just come with Beth and Jason. HOWEVER, there are already going to be 4 adults in our AKL room. I don't think that we would all fit when we add a baby! So I've contemplated reserving another room just in case. But that would make the trip much pricier than we had originally planned. In reality, that's a small price to pay for security of mom and baby.

2 days ago, I talked to Beth and we were talking about the Disney trip. I asked her what she was thinking about leaving Blaize. She said she's still planning on it, but she and Jason thought about maybe asking his mom to come meet us there and stay with Blaize. Essentially to be a nanny for the week. I told Beth that I thought that was the best idea ever. (side note: Beth's mother in law lives in AZ and Beth and Jason and Blaize live in Wisconsin, so grandma doesn't get to see baby very much at all!) Beth said she would talk it over with Jason.

Today, I talked to Beth. Jason's mom has already bought her plane ticket and she has a room reserved at the AKL for October 26-31. She is excited, thrilled, overjoyed. Beth said that this is the best thing they could have ever done for her MIL. This is MIL's dream come true...to have that baby (mostly) to herself for 5 days!

So my worries are over. I am so happy about this arrangement! Not only will Beth and Jason be happy and secure, but I will get to see little Blaize every day for 6 days!!!!! I am SO EXCITED about that. I am in the same boat as MIL...living in AZ.

Now I need (happily) to call and change our dinner reservations to include MIL.

I have some questions about that...will she need a park ticket to eat at places that are inside the parks?

Also, do I need to mention that a baby will be with us when I change the reservations?

That is a very happy change. I was afraid you had bad news!! I was worried your friends wouldn't be able to leave the baby when it came down to it. I know I wouldn't be able to leave a 3 1/2 month old at home. I'm having a hard enough time leaving my 5 year old at home with her father!! :rotfl:

Anyway, yes, the MIL will need to have a park ticket to get into the restaurants that are inside the parks. I was reminded of this by Disney Dining with every ADR I made.

HTH!! :flower3:

What does HTH mean? I should probably know what it means, but I just can't figure it out!

I knew I didn't just dream that up about needing a park ticket to eat at the restaurants! I guess I need to pay more attention to the Disney Dining people!

Well, I've been swallowed up by my preparations for Hawaii!

We leave Thursday right after work. I have so much work to do before we leave so that I am all caught up on everything and won't have to worry while I am gone. Because I will be doing so much work during the week, I had to do most of my packing this weekend.

I have found that my Hawaii packing list has greatly expanded due to the knowledge I have acquired on the DIS.
Ponchos? Check
Moleskin? Check
Overland Donner bag? Check
Pump soap for the bathroom? Check
Everything in its own ziploc bag? Check

I am a chronic overpacker to begin with, so adding all these things is not good!

Does anyone have any Maui/Hawaii tips for me?

No tips - just a little jealousy - okay, I'm excited for you :yay: Hawaii is on my dreamboard. I will go there sometime - please come back with pics!!!
**OH, one more thing for your list - SUNSCREEN!!!**

Have a great time!

You and Kristi will have to go swimsuit shopping sometime. Trent said she has about thirty. What is it with you two and swimsuits?!?! A different one for every occasion? Anyway, you are so lucky to be going to beautiful Hawaii and then coming back for a short wait until Disney. Have a great time! We'll miss you over on our report.

Sunscreen has been added to the list! Thanks! I have heard that everything is more expensive in Hawaii, so I certainly don't want to have to buy sunscreen there!

I will definitely come back with pics.

We are fortunate to be able to use my DH's grandparents' time share points for our hotel in Hawaii. Otherwise, I don't think we would be going!

It's good to hear that there are others out there like me! I don't know what it is about swimsuits. I can never find one I like, so I just buy a bunch that are okay. I have 4 or 5 of them packed. That's after taking some out of the suitcase. Oh, and about different occasions...I need one for a surfing lesson (a one piece), one for snorkeling (a secure 2 piece), one for sitting on the beach (a cute one). So that's three right there! And who knows what else will come up!?!

I am very lucky to be able to travel often. We're trying to cram it all in before we have kids!

Thats exciting that the baby will be with you guys for your trip!!

Also I love that you guys came up with a theme for your costumes. The only thing is I've never played clue. Crazy I know! I was kind of a Life kinda girl! Lol but your plans sound great! I can't wait to read more!!

That is very exciting aboutthe Hawaii trip! I have never been, so the only advice I can give? HAVE FUN!!!! And take lots of pictures - we want to see!! :thumbsup2

My husband has been to Hawaii before - 1994. He said do not go out at night alone. He said it can get pretty rough. I kind of laughed at him when he said it and he is dead serious! He said during the day it's great, but things change at night.

Have a great time!

I am glad that your friend MIL will be able to make it for the trip and watch the baby. That will definitly make everyone feel better and I can only imagine how happy her MIL is to have to baby for 5 days!!!

I hope you have a wonderful time in Hawaii. I am very jealous and hope that one day I will make it there. Make sure you share some pictures when you get back!

I have seen "Dog the Bounty Hunter" enough times to know that I should watch out for criminals in Hawaii! :rotfl: (Should I be embarrassed to admit that I've watched that show?)

I will definitely share some pictures when I get back. Maybe even while we're there!

I think MIL probably has her own countdown to the trip!

Yep, you have plenty of time to catch up. I will be giving you a quiz when I get back to make sure you've done your homework. Just kidding! There's nothing too exciting in my pre-trip. Just the usual!

I agree! I am having a hard enough time thinking about leaving my dogs while we're in Hawaii...I can't even imagine leaving a baby!

Wanna hear something fun?

Well, I'll tell you...My birthday is Friday! :woohoo: That means that our first full day in Hawaii is my birthday! :yay: I LOVE birthdays. Mine and everyone else's.

So today, I received a package in the mail from one of my best buds. It was my birthday gift (I know, I know...I should have waited till my birthday to open it. But we're going to be in Hawaii that day!) It was full of things that will be PERFECT for Hawaii! In the package was Bliss lip balm with spf 30, SPF 50 M.A.C. face primer stuff, moisture lock-out leave in conditioner (cuz my hair gets mighty frizzy in humidity)(oh, and it was Jonathan brand, from that dumb show "Blow Out" ), and a beautiful Hawaiian looking necklace and earrings. Each and every item was promptly packed into my suitcase(s). Of course I tried out the lip balm first!

DH packed his stuff tonight. I repacked my stuff tonight. I have a feeling I'll be repacking each night till we leave!

We're both so excited for this vacation! We bothneed a break...Did I mention that I got a (completely) flat tire last Thursday, and my battery died in my car today...both far from my house. And it's been 105 to 110 degrees here with humidity, so it stinks to have car trouble in this heat. Thankfully, both problems have been resolved! But I am ready to just get away!!!

Happy early birthday!!! :cool1:

Hope you have a great time in Hawaii...lucky you!! Thats one place I've always wanted to go. maybe someday
