I called to check on when our passes expire. I know it’s sometime while were on our trip in Jan. I was told mine expires Jan 29 since I went to MK the day we got there DH rested and DH expires jan31. It was raining on the 30 so we didn’t go to a park Yet I was able to make FP till the 31 for both of us. Which is good news since now I won’t have to buy as many days as I thought just seems a little strange.

1. I was told mine expires Jan 29 since I went to MK the day we got there
2. DH rested and DH expires jan31.
3. It was raining on the 30 so we didn’t go to a park
4. Yet I was able to make FP till the 31 for both of us. Which is good news since now I won’t have to buy as many days as I thought just seems a little strange.

The answers to the following questions are critical:
1. What date did you get there in 2019?
Did YOU go INTO the MK park that first day?
2. Did he NOT go into a park until your THIRD day at WDW?
3. Was Jan. 30 your first day or second day of the trip?
4. Are you STILL able to book and keep FPs for Jan. 31, 2020?

If you are BOTH able to book FP's THROUGH ("on") Jan. 31, (not just UNTIL Jan. 31,) I'd trust your MDX account's ability to book FPs as a more accurate indicator of expiration date over what you were "told."

I had a weird thing like this happen to me last week. Ours expire 12/20, but I was able to make FP+ reservations for 12/21. I called Disney and confirmed they do expire on 12/20 and they don’t know how I was able to do that. I believe there was a glitch for a little bit last week in their system.

Yea OP, the phone CM is right. The AP expires 1 year from first use, not a year & 2 days. The website is all kinds of glitchy. Our APs expired in the middle of October. I didn’t renew because I have a free dining package coming up next week & I am going to upgrade those tickets to APs again. I don’t have current APs or vouchers in MDE. And yet I can still see all the AP rates & pages on the website & the app. I would plan on your AP expiring on the 29th. The website allowing FPs doesn’t mean the tap points will let you in the park. Oh & you should get a renewal notice with the true expiration date on it too

I posted a few weeks ago that according to MDE that our AP expire while we are on our trip in JAn mine is 1-30 and DH 2-1

yet I can still make FP for Dh on 2-1 and 2-2--I got a message that I had to be removed from the FP selection since I dont have tickets

so I did a chat and asked--the first CM I got it seems stitch is messing around with the FP--asked why if my PA expires how was I able to

make FP she also said that if I was not etitled for FP that I would get an email saying that

so I tried to do a FP for DH and it went through all confirmed and no email--checked this morning and there it still was

this is really driving me nuts and I cant get any direct answers

Id buy a few days just to finish up this trip (were not planning on renewing our passes this time)

but I dont want to spend the money if I dont need too and for some reason our passes are still good

or I could wait till we get there in a month but I want to finish FP

any other thoughts--thanks

in answers to your questions robo we arrive at WDW on jan 29 2019--I went to the MK that day while DH stayed at the resort (BLT)

neither of us went to a park on 1-30 but both went on the 31 through the rest of the trip which was till the 5

I have FP booked for the both of us upto and including Jan 31 they are all showing up in MDE

also we never got any renewal notice on our passes

thanks all

we arrived on 1-29-19 I went to the MK and DH stayed back at the resort (BLT)

neither of us went to a park on 1-30-19 but both went to the parks from the 31st to the 4th 2019

I have FP booked for both of us from 1-29 upto and including the 31st--these are showing up in MDE

when I try to do FP for 2-1 and 2-2 for both of us I get a message not within FP window--for myself--when I remove myself from the FP

I can do FP for my DH for both days no issues and they show up on our MDE I can go all the way and theyre confirmed--

this is getting so fustrating this has been happening since my 60 day window started

I would just buy tickets to cover the extra days but I would hate to buy them and then find out our passes are still good for whatever reason-

and yet without tickets for myself I cant do FP

yet I would hate to get to the gates only to find out our passes expired yet we have FP

thanks for the help

We had the same thing happen in the summer. We were able to make fp’s for two days past our annual pass expiration date and we were able to register for the annual pass preview in Star War’s land a day past our expiry.

In the app, it said our expiry date, but also listed how many days we had left til expiry. The number of days listed was always two days past expiry. So we took a screenshot of that, plus our fp’s made, plus our Star Wars confirmation and we went to Guest Services once we arrived at DW. They were kind enough to change the pass expiration to match our fp dates.

I don’t think there’s anything you can do until your arrive.

It sounds like a glitch with FP. The AP will expire one year from entry, regardless of having a FP.

So, if your first day entering was the 29th, then you will not get admission beyond that, even though you have FPs.

But was it because the expiration was wrong, or you just were lucky to get a CM to give you a few free days?

OP knows her first date was the 29th, so I would not expect that this will happen as they do not typically do that.

At first I thought it was some kind of glitch, but there was a section in the app that mentioned we were Canadian residents and based on our address they added this for us. Then the extended annual pass date was listed under this. It was strange and we didn’t see that part at first. The CM’s weren’t 100% sure when the passes expired.

There is no guarantee of anything of course, but the OP should double check her expiration date at guest services. It may be a glitch or a day or two may have been legitimately added on for some reason.

Thanks. Good to hear that if the system was showing the inconsistency that they gave you the extra days!

We first used our APs in 2018 on Dec 23. Passes showed expiry of Dec 23, 2019. I was about to renew in early December but didn't get around to it but confirmed Dec 23 was expiry. We got back home and I went to renew and suddenly it said that Dec 25 was expiry date. We renewed and now the expiry is Dec 25, 2020. So somehow I got 2 extra days.

I see from your profile that you are Canadian. It sounds like that’s probably the reason why.
