Manda - That's great that you felt like you could keep going. Finishing on a high, that's the way to go. And yes, 14 min/miles is a great speed for walking, especially for just beginning your training.
Gretchen - Let me know how you like your Zumba class. When I was still a member of our Y, I thought about taking a class, but there were signups and waiting lists and all that. Which tells me it's very popular, so it must be good, but there will also be a lot of sweaty people crowded in an enclosed space...
Liam - Great pictures! You don't look that distraught in your Mile 26 picture. You actually look determined, like you're going to finish this darn race no matter what. And you look pretty darn happy to have that medal!
Nikki - Excellent planning ahead for your long walk while on vacation! Enjoy!
Jane - Don't let yourself wallow in the fact that you missed a run or two. Your body or mind obviously needed that break. Enjoy it while you can. Then tomorrow, enjoy your group run.
