We are staying at AKV and I told my daughter we need to eat at the boardwalk that last night, so we can park there for three hours and watch Illuminations from the Boardwalk after dinner.:

You know that lovely wooden walkway from the boat dock to the WL? Yeah, on our last trip, we were walking to the boat and there was a dad and his son walking off of the boat and the kid threw up red slushie projectile style. He did it again just a few minutes later. Yuck!

Love, no LOVE Wilderness Lodge!! It is so beautiful and reminds me so much of No. CA and Yosemite area, although there are no geysers there. What a wonderful way to begin your last day!!

I got caught up on your report, went to have dinner and visit the grandmunchkins for a bit, posted, after the fact, to find out you had updated!!!

What a great idea to go to WL for breakfast before MK! We did something similar on our March trip, we stopped at AKL for breakfast at Mara before heading to Epcot. We'd never been to AKL and already had reservations to stay there in October, so we just wanted to check it out.

I love WL! I understand what you mean about walking in and just feeling at home. It's a beautiful resort. We stayed there during our first Christmas visit and everything there just felt perfect!

Ahhhh Wilderness Lodge. I don't know why, but it's really been on my radar lately as a resort I really want to stay at!!! Of course, I've been saying that about a LOT of them... sigh, I just can't pick. WL is just so gorgeous!

Smart idea to park at WL for sure! Parking at MK is such a hassle... I've only done it once because I had to, otherwise you best believe I took that bus (or monorail... or walked... haha!)

I'm gonna miss the Let the Memories Begin campaign as well!!

Thanks for the Preview of the WL! I am so happy we get to stay at VWL for the second week of our trip!! I wish I could afford to stay deluxe for the first week as well but going for 2 weeks total kind of eats at the budget to be able to splurge on the resort. Someday!

I LOVE the pillow!! I hope you are able to find them in November!!

What a great start to your last day! Getting to visit your home away from home always feels nice, and it's cool that you were able to eat a quick meal there.
We had a friend tell us the other day that WL is the best resort to stay in during the holiday season, and all I think of was, "First Jen writes a TR and posts all these amazing pictures of WL, and now someone else is promoting it." I guess I really do need to check it out one day.

We always got to MK our last day...next time we will have to try 3 parks...well, maybe 2...
the WL is really a special place! and in November you will have to go and try to find the BC alligator!

I never go to MK on our last day, we always do Epcot and DHS, always! I'd like to switch it up this year, but I can't imagine not riding ToT one last time and then ending my trip at Epcot!

Haha, I'm sure we will look for the alligator when we visit the BC! I'm sure I'll be in tears because we're not staying there!

I hear ya on walking into a familiar resort. That's how I feel whenever we go to the Polynesian-I always get nostalgic.

Great pictures of the Wilderness Lodge! If we can't get BLT for April I might go for VWL since it's been 3 years (time to start making the 2nd go round of DVC resorts, haha).

I love the WL so much, it really is like my Disney home! I'm sure if I ever stay at the Poly I'll feel the same way about that place too, I love going there just to visit or eat, I can't imagine how fantastic it must be to stay there!

That sounds like a great idea, eating at the BWI and then walking over to watch Illuminations! I love the BW area, so pretty!

I love the WL soooo much! I've never actually been to the pacific NW, but I imagine the whole area looks like the WL!

I really want to try the Mara, I'd love to stop there before going to a park one morning! The problem with that is, we always go to Boma on our AK days, and I can't see myself wanting to drive all the way to AKL on a non AK day! Maybe we should try it and be adventurous! Or go there for lunch so I can finally try those zebra domes!

I know, we get insane with the park hopping! I'm trying to keep the park hopping to a minimum for November but it's so hard, I don't know any other way to do things!

I did enjoy the last day, I was sad, but I think I was distracted because I was so busy! It was nice being in the parks before we had to go home, usually we just get up and go right to the airport, and that's depressing!

You are going to love the WL, it's so pretty! Yeah, it's annoying how much the deluxes are, I'd stay deluxe on every trip if I could, but it's just not possible! Oh well, I'd rather stay at a value resort than not go to Disney at all!

Thanks! I loved visiting the WL on our last day! It is a great place to stay during the holiday season, it feels like a cabin in the woods, it's great! You should just go to visit and maybe eat at Whispering Canyon or something, it's really pretty!

I know, I hope those pillows are still around, with my luck though, they'll be gone!

oh my gosh! I can so relate to your table stalking story. LOL!!! I'm totally using that term now I hate it when we have to table stalk in restaraunts! I hate it when we have to stalk tables in a coffee shop too If DD and I go I tell her to go find a table while I get the drinks, pay and wait for them. She usually whines and says she doesn't want to so I tell her to stand in line and order and pay then. That usually gets her going with a grumpy look on her face. Bahahaha! How hard is it to have the right amount of tables to accomodate your busy times?!!? ugh!

I really like Roaring Fork, yes it's small, but everything they have there is good! I'm glad we got that picture too, I would have felt horrible if we forgot a picture of her in front of the Castle!
