it akways gives me that perplexing question, how much to make? I've got lunch for 40 or so next weekend so I got a second ham out of the freezer. I'm going to make scalloped potatoes, Fran wants to make yams. I have devilied eggs and salad coming. We asked band members to bring potluck dessert. I think I need a baked vaggies dinner option.

Alison - Given what you've told us about this group over the last couple of rehearsals, I seriously doubt that you're under-catering. And unless you decide to cater for three times the amount of people, I don't think you'll ever have leftover food....much.

Remember - we've seen your food; and given where you eat, I figure you have a very developed palate...so your food is DELICIOUS!

I tend to cater for about 100 - 150g protein per person (but I usually multiply that by 1.5 times the number of people coming) and then add whatever sides I wish to include.

Dessert is another compartment. ;)

Number 1...no I'm not pregnant.... :rotfl2:

Feeling a bit better. Doc has given me a certificate for tomorrow as well because I haven't really slept in 48 hours...
But I should go if I can. I'm supposed to hear news on my work status this week. I don't want to go tomorrow but I know I should.
She says there is a bug around like this and had patients on the way to work suddenly run off a train to be sick. :scared1:

Weather is very changeable here the past month or so. Humidity makes me more susceptible to anything but I have been pretty ok lately. But public transport surrounds you in bugs :headache:

Men can and will eat anything and everything in sight...
One of my good friends now hangs out a lot with guys because they are the friend group of her DBF....and SERIOUSLY they can eat :confused3 and drink a LOT of soda.
If you provide GOOD food...they'll eat even more :lmao:

Men had a good appetite for good food. So if they get home good cooking they will eat. Even with the two of us, I usually make more because Chris will eat another meal from it.

Thanks for all the kind words! I don't want to end up like the other guy who would do our lunches. He would end up with sooooooo much food leftover. I never cared that much for what he made, but others raved about it.

I can't wait, we have a POTC dinner tonight. I'm hoping for a walk-thru! My camera is charging!

Hi! :wave2: I don't work tonight, the party Saturday was fun, and I went to another party yesterday, which was also fun :teeth: How are you?

I'm good, really looking forward to tonight! I hope I don't end up disappointed, I'm sure the meal will be fabulous and just getting to go out to the park. The only problem is that Fran overdid it yesterday. She is still asleep in bed. We need to leave around 3-4PM (she wants to buy some pins), so something needs to get going around here!

How many are you feeding?

I never know. Last night I thought it would be about 12, but it turned out to be 14 (and an 18 month old). Saturday it will be about 40.

I would be, too, if I was going to the park :lmao: I miss the parks so much and have been dying to go back :rotfl: I hope you have a wonderful time tonight and that she gets her booty out of bed soon!
