8pm Sounds like many people still arriving.
8pm DCA closed everyone went to DL.
8pm to 11pm Part of the gates were closed due to filming of Modern Family in the entry area.
8pm reports of 2 hours to get into the park and line was across the esplande to DCA
9pm gridlock on the 5 and surface streets.
10pm DL closed the gates because of hitting capacity.
10pm 5 sounds better surface streets still in gridlock
11pm DL allows reentry with hand stamps, lines to enter wrap down out of security.
12am still limited to reentry.

My job revs up today a little - emails and calls will come in about our job recruitment; a piddilly (sp?) little temporary job next winter for six weeks that doesn't pay much but we hire about thousand or so people to help test kids.

The job will really get bad next month when the online application becomes available. We hire retired teachers, most of whom have few techie skills and cannot deal with an online application.

Best part of the job is the great stories I get to tell at parties!

Hi all! Done with 2 really bad work days. Don't have to be there again for a week, thankfully. Things keep getting worse every week it seems. Less staff, sicker patients, more regulations & computer work, managers constantly changing how we are supposed to things with minimal instruction. Several friends/ coworkers took advantage of an early retirement incentive & are leaving this month. Some days I wonder how I'll make it thru 11 more years.

I have been an RN for almost 34 years. I love being a nurse & giving great care to our patients. I am usually in charge & sort of direct staff & patient care for the shift & organize things for the next shift. It's challenging & stimulating & I really can't imagine working anywhere else. I just wish administration knew how hard our jobs really are & gave us the staff we need. Yesterday I had my job & 3 others I didn't have staff for.


And then I came home to read that Davy Jones died. I am exhusted & so sad.

My neck is almost completely better but my left ear is aching and my headache is currently a six. It feels like all I do is complain lately, but I just want one day where I have no pain.

Watching tweets about One disney day at DL. Looks bad, only for people out of the parks.

My cousin-in-law's brother was there. He kept Facebooking about it like it was the most magical thing in the world. Must have been pretty awesome for the people who got in.

I already read it this morning and replied. I forgot you wanted me to remind you about mine. I did a trip segment the day before yesterday and a real world update about Disneyland/Connor's birthday today.

The rain keeps tumbling down.
They aren't sure when our dam with overflow but there's evacuations in various parts of the state and they're advising people who live one side of a certain few bridges and work or have kids go to school on another might not go to work or send kids to school today.

It is flyday. I doubt the kids will mind. Although the parent might just lose their mind with house bound kids

I did consider swimming to work today.

As for hospitals. My mum isn't an RN but does work in a hospital and the people in charge just don't understand the day to day running or best practice of things.
Should they get audited they'll be glad of my mums dedication to doing things the right way. She's found things and corrected things they could have been seriously sued for.

But for now. She's treated like dirt.

Sorry to all who are so busy! I was caught up all day working on revising a survey that was created for our band. Good intentions, but it would have opened up an ugly can of worms had it gone out in it's original form.

I'm tired. Fran slept all day even though she wanted to go out and do work. I have to go to the market and pharmacy now, then come home and cook a whole turkey.
