Just paying bills... :faint:

I really want our money to come through....This wound vac thing is sounding really icky. Sort of like a colostomy bag without the icky bag part.

:scared1::scared1: You have to do it?

The nurse is supposed to do it, but here's the thing: we were talking to this social worker from the agency who came by today. She was talking about it and how it will be on all the time and that I will have to follow Fran to the bathroom with it because she can't carry it and walk with two canes.

Then we asked how long she would use it, and she said "I don't know anywhere from 2 to 4 months each patient is different." :scared1:

What do we do on WDW? Do I have to learn how to do it? Do we carry it on her scooter in the parks?????

WT#%$!

WOW! Thats a long time. I thought they vacuumed it out in surgery?

I feel so bad the new people upstairs lock their dog in the bedroom and its going crazy.

Evidently this wound vac keeps the moisture our of the wound allowing it to heal more efficiently. I'll have to do some research on it. I just finished the "sauce" for our shrimp gumbo casserole, it has to simmer, so in-between working on my PTR and cooking I'll look up how these suckers work.

That's awful that they do that to their dog. We would throw them out if they did that. The gal who turned in the application yesterday was supposed to get me one more document and she hasn't done that yet. She was supposed to email it to me, so it could have gotten lost. If she doesn't get it today, I call her tomorrow and she might get her application rejected. She has a dog and planned to put him in day care.

Since we cant buy right now, we are looking into renting a duplex. Its about a 100 dollars more, but it will be worth it. I might be able to do some dog sitting to make money. It pays good. I love animals.

I guess you will have to do some research how to use that vacuum. How is Fran doing?

Oh my Alison the wound vac situation is sounding a little scary, I hope it doesn't turn out that way.

What area are you looking for and I'll keep my eyes open? I enjoyed living in a duplex before we moved into our house.

That might be good, there is good money in pet sitting. I wish we had better pet sitters!

OK, so I called the Doctor (primary care, not the wound surgery guy) a couple hours ago because I was imagining all these scenarios in my head. The thing is supposed to get here between 8-10AM tomorrow so we set an appointment with her at 10:30 in her office, she was seeing another patient there at 11:00AM so this is perfect.

She says that the wound vac is only effective when the wound is seeping, and her wounds do not seem to be seeping. Back in October a wound vac would have been great, but now, not so much. So she is going to check it out.

I was envisioning her riding around Epcot with the wound vac on her scooter floorboards and it wasn't a pretty sight! :rotfl2: Hopefully this won't be the case. Besides, the thing costs $450 per month AFTER MEDICARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was having the same vision of Fran riding around the parks. Wow that's an expensive piece of equipment. :scared1:

We're spoiled and our adult kids house/pet sit for us.

We wanted to move back to elk grove , but everything is way to expensive in rent. There are two places were looking at in Rancho. Its a 3 bedroom 2 bath, yard, garage, laundry hookup :goodvibes. Its about a hundred more. But I will give up a few more things in life to live someplace private. The apt above us has just had so much drama. I think it has seen about 4 sets of people. And this new one takes the cake. I appreciate it though. Chris knows so many people in the property management.

That is very expensive! :scared1: I take care of one doggie now, I dont charge as she used to live above us and I didnt want to see her home alone. She loves coming everyday.

I'm with you on the privacy issue so I hope you find a duplex soon.

Thank you, he is picking up the application tomorrow. Besides the fact it may help that they clean their properties, so they know the carpets will be taken care of.;)

FocusOnDisney mentioned that the wound vacs were expensive, but I had no idea!

I know and she was thinking of going to Vegas this weekend because we have a meeting on one of our properties that is hopelessly tanking. I took the papers to our accountant today so that he can let us know how bad it is. It would suck if we couldn't go to the meeting and ask questions, but can you see her riding around a casino with this thing? Supposedly it might also be electrically powered not battery!

We need more information and the thing arrives tomorrow, so we'll take it to the DR. before letting the nurse install it!

Best wishes tomorrow that it's not quite as complicated as we're all thinking it might be.

Oh my gosh! Here is a

We just let the manager know what is going on with that poor dog. She left a message for both of those guys. That poor thing has been in there since this morning.
