I did It!!!

I upgraded to the concierge YC for 10/10 to 10/17. In part due to everyone's great advice from here!

Now do I wait for the itinerary info sheet or just give them a call? We are at the 120 day mark.

I already made a 1900 Park Fare Res for dinner for the first night for Cindy's night out of the castle. Then my second thought is if I can get cindy breakfast (she is my 3 yr old dd favorite) then maybe do the castle for dinner and fireworks (minus the princess). Any thoughts? Anyone done the fireworks thing inside the castle? I may try over on the rest. board as well.

Maybe we'll meet you Paula in the lounge! I will be with my two blond girls 3 & 8.

Oh I am just jumping out of my skin!! No breakfast to make in the room!! Snacks to blow my WW diet!!

Next question.. I want to have Pal Mickey in the room when I arrive for the girls. The concierge can take care of that as well?

So many thanks in advance for your advice!!

Here's the list for the conceirge food offerings

Sunrise Starters 7am-10:30am

Seaside Snacks 11:30am-4:30pm

Twlight Treasure 5pm-7pm

Regetta Delights 8pm-10pm

I have also arrange for Pal Micket to be there for my DS. Amy from the planning office was more than pleased to accomodate (you just have to give her your credit card #). I am also having little surprises left for the boys. The first night will be the 75th birthday Mickey Mouse lanyard and then each following night will be a new pin. Maybe we will see you there we are coming in on the 12th I will be the brown haired one with the three red heads (DH, and 2 DS are all red heads) our middle DS has brown hair like his mom.

We are so excited about our stay this is the boys 3rd trip in 3 years but it is our first conceirge stay just by what has happened so far we are spoiled forever.

Our really good friend are going with us the same week they are staying at the WL conceirge. Their son and our two sons will be celebrating their birthdays during the trip.

Take care,

Paula

cherylcat and sparp5,
We are going July 4 - July 11. Pal Mickey, along with some Toy Story items will be waiting for DS(2) and beach towels and lanyards with pins will be waiting for the 2 15 year olds. Amy is very helpful and makes planning a breeze. She's even getting the autograph book and pen for the little one. All you have to do is give her a credit card number and she takes care of the rest. You'll love concierge. This is our first time at YC but not our first time doing concierge. Let me warn you though.....it's hard to ever go back once you've done it!!:p Enjoy your trip and soak it all in.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Reading these last notes with great interest!! Our first stay at YC coming up and this will be our first stay Concierge as well! Am very afraid of getting so spoiled that just won't want to go any other way again!

NCBuzz and Sparp5, really excited for you and anxious to hear about your trip afterward!

Can anyone post Amy's e mail again. I know it's somewhere but search seems to be down.

I booked through Dreams Unlimited and while they have been great, I want to communicate directly with Disney if that's allowed and set up some things. We want Pal MIckey waiting for us too!!!

Thanks much, Sharon

Pal Mickey is a new stuffed toy about 12" tall that talks to you, gives information on the parks and tells jokes. He downloads information as you walk through the turnstyles of each park and as you walk through that park he tells you interesting facts and also reminds you of things like "the parade starts at 3:00". You can rent them daily at the park for about $8.00(I think). Or you can purchase one to keep for $50. It's brand new.

Amy is great. We are doing Concierge at the Beach Club and Amy is making a Princess themed welcome basket for my DD9 - a princess tee shirt and hat, beach club towel, suntan lotion, chapstick, sunglasses and treats.

We are also going to do pillow gifts but I can't decide what - last year we did beanie babies - but my DD9 has tooo many of these - (I think) but I know she would love more. :)

She was also able to book us the Breathless illuminations cruise - which we are very happy about - I actually sent her roses through FTD.com

Amy makes you feel like you are the only person she is helping.

>>^..^<<,

You're such a wealth of information. I just love seeing your posts and responses. Like the picture in your signature, too. Course that is your daughter and you are the blonde, right?

My DD is 9 too although she's more the Jr. Jedi type than a princess. Maybe Amy can put something together w/the Jedi theme. Don't want to ask too much though.

Just noted our trips are back to back.

THanks for your continuing help and advise!

Sharon

Yes - I'm sure Amy could put something star-war-sy together for your little Jedi - she could pick up some things from the star wars themed gift shop over at MGM. That would be great.

I'll try to save some lounge snacks for you :)

Okay, I have to ask... are there REALLY "bad" standard rooms at BC? The last time I stayed there, I didn't make any special requests... and LOVED the room that we got. Do all standard rooms have 2 queens? I know that, last I had heard, they didn't all have day beds... and that's probably my biggest request... since it's going to be 3 generations in the room... what's the best way to try to make it happen?

I am so glad I just found this board! It has already been a wealth of information in the first five minutes!
I have been trying to find Yacht Club info and finally have found the people who know! :)

We will be staying YC concierge Oct 4th to Oct 11th with DH & DS (15) and I CAN"T WAIT!!! thank goodness for fairy tale packages!

candleonwater...I would suggest that you send a room request...there are some "bad rooms" according to other info that I have received...looking out over the back of the kitchen roof does not sound too pleasing...many have walkout balcomies only ...and some are smaller than the other rooms. Look at the room layout maps at the beginning of this post for great info on rooms to avoid

I read on this board that conceirge at the BC has robes in the rooms and turndown service. If you stay non-conceirge, i.e. standard room, do you get turndown service and robes like at the GF?

Thanks for any help! We're looking forward to our 1st trip to the BC!

:D :D :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :D :D

You can request to have turn down service during your stay in a non-concierge room. However, only concierge guest recieve robes in their guest rooms.

Do you have to request turn-down service in concierge rooms, or do they do it automatically? What about robes in concierge, are they in the rooms, or do you have to request them?

Turn down service is automatic if you are concierge at the YC&BC. There will be two adult size robes hanging in the closet, if for any reason this was over looked, just phone housekeeping. They have always been wonderful.:D
