Mer- How was yout room and where was it? How was SAB and wsa it very crowded?

We had booked a waterview room. I did not want to be by the quiet book. I faxed a letter to YC 4 days before I left. My requests were to overlook the marina with a view of the fireworks (which we were never in our room to watch). I also requested to be near the elevators because I did not want a long walk down a very long hallway.

They ended up giving us room 4181 (4th floor). When we got off the elevators, we made a right and then went down about 10 rooms on the right. It overlooked the front courtyard entrance and the marina facing the boardwalk. We could see the Eiffel tower in France from our room.

The pool area was as crowded as could be expected in 95 degree weather. The water was actually not too crowded but most of the chairs were taken. The CM's just told us to move any towels from chairs that did not have personal things on them.

We've booked YC Concierge, Lagoon View. Are the Concierge level rooms 'smoking optional' or are they assigned non-smoking vs smoking?

We need a non-smoking room but I just wondered if there's anyone who knows what rooms are smoking? I think I read that the suites were optional.

Is smoking allowed on the Concierge lounge balcony?

When we stayed in concierge, we requested a non smoking room. I don't know if certain rooms are reserved as such. I would think so. It's hard to change a smoking room to non smoking without doing major fumigation.

I don't remember seeing anyone smoking out on the concierge balcony either.

7 consecutive trips to the YC! Hope they know your name by know. This will be our 5th trip in 5years but have yet to find "home". Maybe YC will be it for us as it seems to be for you!

This is my first time posting. I've been reading for quite some time. Everyone's been very helpful. We'll be at YC concierge 07/04 til 07/10 and then on to HRH. Originally booked some time ago and then switched to the Fairytale Package. Great savings.
Can't wait. Bringing DH, DS(15), DS(2) and a friend of my oldest
son. The friend and 2 year old are newbies. Doing Breathless Illuminations Cruise and got 8:30 CRT PS for Sunday. Countdown
begins!!!

I'd like to take advantage of some of these fall specials happening. When we left BC on May 10th they were just starting some renos and refurbs around the BC quiet pool area. Does anyone know for sure when these will be done?

Was wondering if anyone ever celebrated a birthday at the Yacht Club? I was curious, if they do anything, what it was, and how they did anything special. Thinking about faxing in a couple days b4 hand, with my wishes, to have a non-smoking room, and to include we will have 2 birthdays in our party. I feel little funny, about making it sound braggish. But I keep thinking (fingers crossed), that maybe this would grant us an upgrade. It will be my BIG 30, and DS will be turning the fat 10! Not sure if I would feel funny, about wearing a bday sticker/pin that I heard about. Sure it will be fun, for DS to get the attention though. Any thoughts?

We will be there 7/3-7/11, waterview view, with DH, DD's, 16 and 18 and DD's friend. My DD's friend is a newbie also, so we have to be a "little" commando this trip. Wear your green ribbons, and we'll keep an eye out for you by SAB.

This coming trip will be our 8th straight at the YC. We truly have found our home away from home there!

Cindala- our family has also found a home, except it is at BC. We have been staying there at leastonce a year since the resort opened. We can't seem to get enough.

For Mom Rules: We were at BC overa long Memorial Day holiday - the refurbs at BC are complete, except there is some work going on at the Quite Pool.

For Kerlynne: I celebrated my 41st at the BC. My wife & another couple went without the kids (boy were they ticked, oh well - it just gave us an excuse to go back- like we needed it). Anyway, my wife let the CMs at the front desk know it was my birthday. She must've also told Art (the greeter) becuase he made quite a big deal about it. We had a quick swim right after we arrived and when we returned to the room there balloons and streamers as well as signed cards (one from Mickey, one from the whole gang of characters, and one of the castle with fireworks) in the room. It was very nice.

The BC is nice too, and Art is a real doll! We prefer the nautical decor a little more than the beach decor,so that's why we stay there. Either way, they are great resorts in a terrific location!

I'd be interested in anyone also that has stayed recently in the YC conceirge we are booked for the conceirge form 1-12 to 10/19. Really looking forward to our stay. I've received our itinerary planner already and our key. The note card enclosed in our packet tells when food services are avail and what they are called ( like Sunrise Starters 7am to 10:30am) but no specific types of foods are listed.

I apologize if this has all been answered before,but I know things change with time! Has anyone stayed in a Beach Club 1BR Jr. Suite? Or a similar room at the Yacht Club? Do these suites include concierge amenities,or only the suites on the concierge floor? Any info at all would be so appreciated!
