We just got switched to BC today from AKL. My DS and DH are quick service breakfast nuts. My DS loves the Mickey waffles and bacon from the ASM food court. DH loves them with the strawberry toppng. One of the reasons I picked AKL was for the food court. Is there any QS at BC like this? :confused3 I don't want to do character breakfast or room service for breakfast everyday.

There's not a quick service like that at the YC/BC.... they do have the BC marketplace that has some on-the-go items to eat (plus the box of Entenmann's donuts that equal 1 snack credit).... definitely nothing like waffles or the like....
In the YC off the lobby, the Ale and Compass lounge usually has cereal, bagels, muffins, and donuts in the morning.... as does the Boardwalk Bakery (and other baked goods) which is walking distance from the YC/BC...

Hello,

We will be at BC on Monday too. I also was wondering about the movie schedule. My kids would get a kick out of watching them on the beach.

Have a great trip. We are so excited, I want to leave early, but don't have any where to go.....can't get in any earlier. The hotel seems to be fairly full.

We have stayed exclusively at the YC/BC since 1994 and can you believe I knew NOTHING about movie nights??? Where are they held???? What time??? Do tell!!! :) :) :goodvibes :goodvibes Is it only for the Villa guests or is it for the resort in general??? We'll be @ the YC in 41 days!

Movie are shown on the beach on a big screen. Just pull up a lounge chair and enjoy.

we got back fromth eBC last Friday. it was awesome. It is our favorite resoprt.,

The movies on the beach are new. We got a list at check in. I'd venture to say you coudl call ahead to get the list for a week or so in advance. We also loved the new campfire singalongs and marshmallow roasting.

I was sad to see B&C now longer serves food to go. I suspected it was coming. HH's is the palce to get good around the pool now.

YC Galley has mickey waffles ont he menu. The MP at the BC does not have them. They YC Galley is very quick and great.

need to read more

Are there any characters at the sing a long like there are at FW? Also, is their marshmallow roasting? If so do they sell the kits like they do at FW? Thanks ans sorry for so many questions.

Thanks everyone for your help with the food issue. It does seem to be a short coming on this resort. It is a shame that it seems to be a great family resort , but no food court.:sad1: I think my heart is just still at AKL.:surfweb:

We are spending four wonderful nights at Beach Club in early August, thanks to the wonderful rate we were able to get using the room only code. :cool1:

There will be five of us, 3 adults and two children. With a standard view room booked, what are the best areas of the hotel to request as far as convenience and view? You know- maybe look at grass or trees as opposed to parking lot or roof top, and preferably less than a mile from any modern hotel conveniences. Definitely want to make sure we have two queens and a day bed, not sure if this is a given when booking a room for five??

Any helpful suggestions would be so appreciated. We are super excited about this trip and will be celebrating three birthdays while we are there, including dd's 20th and ds's 13th :goodvibes

Thirty two days and counting :cheer2:

We have stayed at the Yacht and beach MANY times but have never heard of the movies or sing alongs on the beach~!!!! Do they do this every night?? Movie AND bonfire?? Do you remember what time??

the movies are about 9pm at night..just to the north of the pirate ship..not sure about the sing-a-long!

Have a great time, tnkrbell!

We have found that no matter where the room is, there is some walking to be done. If you're close to the pool, there's a walk to EPCOT and BW. If you're near EPCOT, there's a walk to the Marketplace and pool.

As for the room, if you have no requests on your reservation, you can ask them to document that you'd like a grassy or wooded view if that's your top request.

Maybe this map will help you. It's not the most up to date but it's helpful with comments on room type and view. Another poster mentioned that they have been renovating some of the rooms so I'm sure some of the info on the map is not accurate.

Looks like we will just miss you guys! 7/30 to 8/6 Be sure and call BC front desk a few days before you get there and tell them you guys have bdays in your group and what days they are. I was told by the lady at the front desk they will try and get balloons and a card up to you if you are celebrating a bday during the stay but you needed to call a few days before you get there. :goodvibes:

How hard is it to get a first floor std. room? we are going sept. 16-23 and stayed in a first floor last year and loved it!

I don't know how hard it is to get one but you could put that in your request. We never requested it but received one and absolutely loved it! The patio was great to have for the kiddos.
