Several years back we had a problem with a teacher that was just an awful teacher and they wouldn't let me change Kody's class. I wrote emails to every member of the school board and the school superintendent. The president of the school board called me and within 2 days I had her in the classroom I wanted her in. The principal came out where I was sitting and waiting for the kids to come out of the school and yelled at me. I yelled back, I told her that she wouldn't understand because she didn't have children but you never cross a mother over her child. She left the school not long after that. I guess from what she said she got in huge trouble. I will do it again.

The teacher was a long term substitute so the circumstances are different. I was furious and we were in the middle of all this BS with this teacher and Kody and I ran into the teacher in the hallway and she stopped to talk to me and asked me if Kody was another of my children. I have to tell you I was rather ticked off. My thoughts were here this teacher has 30 students that she sees everyday and doesn't recognize her? Yeah, she left. I got my way and the next principal knew me right away. So did the superintendent too.

I have a weather app on my phone and seemed like it was pretty nice then....high 60s and mid 70s

Is that normal or was it a fluke?

WDW in July and Aug is unbearable, so trying to figure out what it is like in DL in July and Aug

I have been in June when it is terribly hot and I have been when it goes the other way. Disneyland is close enough to the ocean that they get the fog in the morning so you might want a jacket. Then by afternoon it gets warmer. It is never as hot in southern California as it is in Florida. If they reach 90 it is an oddity.

Are you planning a trip? What dates? Maybe I should think towards summer instead of spring break?

There is no access to the Hollywood sign, but I bet that you can get a tour that will take you to a lookout to see it. I think that there a few locations that you might want to visit other than that too. It is only about 30 or so miles to the sign but with traffic it is like 2 hours.

I have heard late June 2012 but Disney hasn't out anything official out about the date so I have no real clue. Some of the pictures I have seen they have come a long way since I was there last.

Oh another wonderful thing about her school, they don't want you to call when they are sick. Can you believe that bs? Every other school the kids have gone to they would rather you call than send in a note.


As of this evening there is no way that she can go 8 hours without the pain meds.
