New restaurants, rides, attractions, so many things. Oh and Rehabs, there is new sleds on the Matterhorn and Star Tours is totally rehabbed. I am really excited to go again!!

I love the idea of uniforms. Kody freaked out when they started mentioning it for their school. Someone led her to believe that with a uniform code they weren't going to be able to dye their hair which is Kody's self expression. I am not fond of things like pink hair but it is her hair.

Was just getting all caught up and had to comment on this. The uniform consists of a solid polo shirt (each school has 3 colors you can wear) or a school approved t-shirt (i.e. band, sports, clubs, spirit t-shirts) and jeans or khakis with a belt. Pants cannot be ripped or overly distressed nor can they be cargo type.

ALSO, hair cannot be an un-natural hair color!!! So, Kody may have been right about that. The kids at school here express themselves with belts, shoes and whatever tank top they can get away with under their polo. That is why Abby loves getting belts from Rue 21 or Tully's ~ I like to make sure she has a lot of them to choose from and switch it up each day. I really feel they NEED to express their individuality somehow!

The hair doesn't seem fair to me. I may not be thrilled with pink or blue hair but it is just self expression. I think that limiting the kids too much is not a good idea. Yay Abby you rock your belts!!!

That uniform does not sound bad at all

Mixing it up with some cute belts sounds perfect :thumbsup2

Nicole, at least she gets to wear jeans!! My senior year, my school started the uniform thing. Yep, we had to buy uniforms for just ONE school year! And they were the ugliest khaki pants you've ever seen. And of course the shirts at the uniform store didn't come in petites so it was too long (meaning more tucked in and lots of bulge) and the sleeves were too long.

I felt so frumpy and nasty and horrible in that uniform my freaking SENIOR year. (and I was a few pounds heavier than I am now)

It wasn't til the school year started that I realized that there were a few girls getting away with department store khakis instead of the uniform mandated ones. My mom insisted that I would get in trouble if I bought regular khakis and at this point she'd already paid a lot of money for the ugly ones so I sucked it up and never bought any "cute" pants. :sad2:

I absolutely HATED it, in case you couldn't tell from my rant. :headache:

oh, I also had a ugly black belt

Oh Cheri that is awful. It is hard enough to be a teenage girl and then those funky uniforms. I am glad that Kody didn't end up having to wear a uniform.

I have someone who I follow over on the Disneyland side that went to the D23 thing recently and this post shows the models of what they are doing to WDW Fantasyland. I thought you all might be interested to see them.

Thanks for posting that Chele

I am going to go look :surfweb:

Hi guys!

Scotty finally heard back from the DR's office. He has to see a dermatologist. He is a little worked up for a couple of reasons. I told him to relax and not stress over it. Easier said than done I know. One reason is we have Kaiser which is a major HMO so when you see a specialist you usually have to wait weeks to see them. He has an appointment for a week from tomorrow. The other one is his father had skin cancer and it was so bad they had to reconstruct his nose.

So, we are closer than we were at least.

Hey Chele

That is insane that it took them this long to call him back and there was something wrong :headache:

Well, I am glad at least that he was able to get an appt for next week

Yeah, I am pretty mad that they waited this long to call. Who knows how long it actually took the DR to get it to the dermatologist? I thought that was ll computerized like everything else there.

Yeah. that is so not right :sad2:

I keep telling him not to borrow trouble but you know stress can make you think all of the wrong things.

prayers for Scotty. I'm glad he's got the appointment. Once he goes, hopefully the dr will put his mind at ease.

Thank you Cheri. I hope so. He was physically sick last night because of the stress he is causing himself over this.
