Cool ~ I'm glad y'all agree with me.


What did everyone do today? I went shopping with Abby. We both were in need of girl garments if you kwim. Plus we wanted to get her new bedding. It was a success!

We're moving her into the guest bedroom so she can have the queen bed in there instead of her twin. But first we are going to paint it lavendar.

After we get it done and she's moved in, we'll get her old room ready to be Owen's room. He's tired of sharing with Evan... wants his own room.

I love the bedspread and curtains. Super cute and funky

I am at my wits end with Kody. She has no cell phone and I am not letting her on the computer. Rather than approach me about a later bedtime she started bad mouthing me online instead. She doesn't have a bedtime during the summer so I was rather flummoxed over that. It seems that she thinks that my midnight is the latest they can be online is too early for for her. She is normally on the computer by 5 in the afternoon at the latest and is on until midnight. That is late enough.


Sorry for the vent. She tells me that I yell at her every time she asks me anything I just yell at her when she proves her point. She sat and hollered at me, I told her that yes I probably did start yelling at her normally out of self defense. I am crying now because between her yelling at me and Loren getting mad at me today and telling me I am a "Nazi Mom" I am feeling really low and unloved.


To make matters worse for me I am having a monthly visitor that I have not seen since 2007. Is it any wonder I am crying. I just needed to vent. I am sorry.

Just stopping in to say hi and ask if anyone is doing the All Ears contest? There are some good prizes including free WDW trip!! You have to look at 3 sets of pictures and identify which one doesn't belong. Then find that picture somewhere on ALL Ears. Then record the URL link on that page for the picture that doesn't belong.

The photos go down tomorrow (although I have them saved if you want me to send you a copy).

I'm still working on the answers ... not as easy as I thought they would be...

One day I'll pull out the old pictures that my parents have of our trips from the 80's and scan them in.

I wish my mom had pics from her trips in the 70's.

We got Abby's new room painted yesterday, just she and I. We had fun! My hope is that if she works hard on this room she just might respect it more and not make such a mess of it ~ but she's a teenager so I'm not holding my breath!

We still have a lot to do... move eveything out of the closet and then move her stuff in. Then the BIG work begins... she has sticky tack residue ALL over the walls in her old room. Ugh.... I shudder to even think of getting it off so we can paint for Owen.

Anyway... pics soon of the new room!


MICHELE~ wow. I am so sorry. Nothing hurts more than your kids disrespecting you. Just had to haul Abby out of the mall on Saturday to go to the truck for an attitude adjustment. No, I don't beat my kids... she just needed a talking to. Sometimes I think she doesn't even realize what is coming out of her mouth... or the looks she gives me, like I'm some kind of idiot.

Anyway, Kelly is right. No more privaleges until they can treat you with respect. You are a loving, caring, giving parent and should expect nothing less than respect in return (taken straight from the talk with Abby on Sat.).

Just sitting down to enjoy The Voice while I wait for Abby to clean out/off her desk so we can move it into her new room... should take her about as long as the show!

Okay, since Michele asked. When I was at Liz's memorial picnic, I saw my uncle (who was also Liz's uncle). My dear aunt had passed away a few months prior and I was unable to attend her funeral. I was telling him how much I loved her and missed her. He told me that he missed her too but that he talks to her everyday. He has her ashes in an urn in their bedroom. "She" sits on the dresser looking out her favorite window where the sun shines on her everyday. Then he told me that when he dies he will be cremated too and their ashes will be mixed together.

Some may think that is morbid or gross, but I happen to think it is one of the most romantic things I have ever heard and it touched my heart deeply. As soon as I got home I told Tom all about it and told him I want to be mixed together too. He's all for it.

Rachel and Elie are now starting to fight over things. My philosophy is that if they can't share than nobody gets the toy and I have thrown some out ... others just get a timeout for 3 days... But they are too young to think of talking back to me. I can't imagine handling the teenagers like you do ... no wonder it gets to you.

Javier's duet... OMG... AMAZING.

Dia's duet... that song breaks my heart and reduces me to wracking sobs so I wasn't able to really listen and enjoy it.

Vicci's duet... it was good but I was not wowed. I love that band but also feel that lead singer doesn't sing his songs live very well.

Beverly's duet... I am digging that song lately but I thought she did awful.

And I get that ~ completely. I feel that way about the song Umbrella. Hate it with every fiber of my being. There are certain songs or artists that just bother me.... I can't always explain why even.

Like that song Jar of Hearts they are playing constantly right now ~ what is UP with that stupid song? "You're gonna catch a cold from the ice in your heart" ~ seriously??????? AAAUUUUGGGGHHHH makes me wanna scream ~ that is a station changer for me.
