Thank you

I got another update
As long as mommy is doing skin to skin with baby, she is breathing great! They say baby is breathing like a premie so it might be a bit before she gets to go home. But mama gets to stay with her free of charge which is wonderful! I'm SO glad they are not being separated and they are not taking baby to a different hospital. All good news so hopefully things will get better quickly and they will be able to take her home soon. Mommy has only gotten 4 hours of sleep in the last 72 hours and is recovering from a c-section so please continue to pray for her too.

Baby Update 8:15am: Baby J had a few episodes last night so they're gonna keep a close eye on her today and tonight and if she doesn't improve then they will transfer her to a different hospital with a better NICU. Mom is doing fine. Please keep praying for baby J. They are doing an eco on her today and they will know more around 6pm this evening.

I'm really upset about this and doing my best to hold it together right now. I know it's not my baby but....ugh! It's going to be a long day. I really wish I was at home with Alex today. I miss him like crazy on top of everything else.
Skin to skin is awesome! braeton got off all oxygen when we started doing skin to skin and then went to just the blow by when he was in the bed. It is heartbreaking to have to watch anyone you care about go t hrough anything like this. Especially when you know the struggle they've had to have this precious angel. I know it doesn't feel like it but God really does want what is best for them. I am praying for them all. I hate to put a Braeton story in but everytime I think of your friends and babyJ I think of this. Braetons was on full vent. His oxygen level was still low and blood pressure fading. There wasn't a lot of hope. A precious nurse handed him to me and I was able to hold him for the very first time at exactly 1 week old! That night he went off the vent and to a c-pap! Still had several problems and was struggling and it again didn't look hopeful. They let my sister bring Tyler in to see his baby brother. Tyler wasn't quite 3 yrs old. He leaned toward the Incubator and started singing "Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket...." Twinkle Twinkle little star" Which is the song we would sing every day at Tylers nap time as he would lay with his head on my stomach. Immediatly Braetons BP STARTED EVENING OUT AND HIS oXYGEN LEVEL WENT UP!! The first time Shannon held him and started speaking to him they were able to remove 2 of the IV lines. Anythng you do in pregnancy those precious babies hear. Its Amazing!
I'm Praying Carla! I really really am!!

Trent starts Tball tomorrow and his team name is Riversharks

I just thought that was funny considering my nickname

That is awesome

I am picturing you right now with a boombox on your shoulder like you did back in the 80s and it is cracking me up :rotfl2:

Oh cool..take a pic :thumbsup2

Heh, heh... nope, not my radio but that is a funny idea! :lmao: We won today! :cool1:

Leah, thank you for sharing that story about Braeton ~ it was very poigniant and I know that Carla will appreciate it.

For Kelly ~

Star Wars shirts designs

The boys are asking me to make the last one for them ~ the one with the storm trooper and the mickey head bar. Thought Trent might like them too. :goodvibes

Disneyland is having a contest for AP holders to ride the new re-furbed Star Tours. I went ahead and entered it. I figure that if I should be lucky enough to win it I will make a quick trip down ride it and a few favorites and drive home. I will be exhausted but it would be oh so worth it!!

I came to cry about Idol but now that is completely inconsequential...

Carla, I am praying for your friend and her baby girl.... like Michele said, it is so touching that as long as she snuggles with her mama she is doing okay. That just made me cry!

I will pray she grows stronger every day ~ and for strength for her parents too.

Yes, I do!

Baby J Update: She was transferred to a different hospital with a higher level NICU yesterday. They're at the hospital I delivered Alex at. They put a feeding tube in and gave her the little bit of colostrum that Angie was able to pump (1cc) and that seems to have helped. This is the first time she's gotten to eat anything since birth. They haven't been able to breastfeed yet but Angie is pumping all that she can. Baby J's O2 levels are up and doing good. So there is improvement which is great. Oh and they lost the vein in her arm so they had to move the IV to her head :( Please continue to pray for baby J and her parents. God is listening! And baby J is a fighter.

Thank you!

Thanks Kelly!

 Awesome

I am sorry to hear that

Are you kids off this week for easter break?

Oh no. They were off for two weeks in the beginning of the month. I couldn't be happier to have them back in school.

Between their fighting and feeling like I come second to bicycles I can't shake the blues.
