Skin to skin is awesome! braeton got off all oxygen when we started doing skin to skin and then went to just the blow by when he was in the bed. It is heartbreaking to have to watch anyone you care about go t hrough anything like this. Especially when you know the struggle they've had to have this precious angel. I know it doesn't feel like it but God really does want what is best for them. I am praying for them all. I hate to put a Braeton story in but everytime I think of your friends and babyJ I think of this. Braetons was on full vent. His oxygen level was still low and blood pressure fading. There wasn't a lot of hope. A precious nurse handed him to me and I was able to hold him for the very first time at exactly 1 week old! That night he went off the vent and to a c-pap! Still had several problems and was struggling and it again didn't look hopeful. They let my sister bring Tyler in to see his baby brother. Tyler wasn't quite 3 yrs old. He leaned toward the Incubator and started singing "Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket...." Twinkle Twinkle little star" Which is the song we would sing every day at Tylers nap time as he would lay with his head on my stomach. Immediatly Braetons BP STARTED EVENING OUT AND HIS oXYGEN LEVEL WENT UP!! The first time Shannon held him and started speaking to him they were able to remove 2 of the IV lines. Anythng you do in pregnancy those precious babies hear. Its Amazing!
I'm Praying Carla! I really really am!!

WOW! What a beautiful, beautiful story!!

DO IT!!! I hemmed and hawed about taking our big trip for our 20th because I felt so guilty about leaving the kids... and making my mom stay with them. BUT I am sooooo happy we did it anyway!

20 years of marriage ~ especially in this day and age ~ is a BIG DEAL! Celebrate it... spend some quality time together. You deserve it. :cloud9:

We are already dreaming about taking another "just us" trip next year.

I agree :thumbsup2
And WDW at that!! I am going to do my best to get this going. My kids will be cool about it I am sure. And Kacy will be 18 so that works out too. My only problem is picking dates. I am thinking that the date of our anniversary is August 16th and I am thinking I don't want to go to Florida in August. Perhaps October or November are better dates for us.

That is so exciting!!

Definitely skip August, way too hot :headache:

Do you want to see parks bare or decorated?

I love our Halloween party and think you would have blast at that

I would recomend like 2nd week of October

Or if you want to see it more bare, come after November 1st, but before like 10th and there should not be too many Christmas things out yet

Weather be a tad cooler. Plus, you will have food and wine festival going on at Epcot, which is awesome :woohoo:

Update on baby J: She is doing much better! Angie was able to nurse her today w/o affecting baby J's respiration. And they are taking the IV out (it's probably already out). I'm hoping and praying the next news I get is that they are taking her home. Thanks for the continued prayers! :grouphug:

What wonderful news

Prayers are powerful indeed

Yay!! :goodvibes

Agreed

noooooo no Florida in August. Yikes!

Thank you.

October the weather is nice and you have MNSSHP :thumbsup2

At first I was like what on earth?:confused3 And then I thought it out.:lmao:

Thank you Kelly.

The food and wine festival interests me. I am guessing that it will be busier during that time though. Right?

You guys are tempting me to try and start saving for a trip there! But Dillon doesn't have much interest in WDW yet. He wants to go back to Disneyland before we go there. Which is fine by me, as long as WDW is in the plans at some point!

Thank you.

:rotfl: sorry I confused you.

Thank you!

Only EPCOT is busier during the F&W fest.

I haven't told Scotty yet but I know that he will agree. And the best part? He can't take a bicycle on the plane.:thumbsup2

And EPCOT is one of the main things I want to do!!

And I want to go to Universal too!!

Like Carla said, just epcot is busier

But I found that if you visited Epcot during week, instead of weekend, crowds were not as bad

Plus Epcot is the best park to handle crowds. Very open there and can fit a lot of people

How Steve is with DLand. He rather continue to go to WDW, but he knows he will have to go to Dland at least once to make me happy

You see Scotty has been to WDW when he was a kid so it isn't that big of a sell.

Where do you think you want to stay?!?! popcorn::

You know I don't know yet. I just brought the planning book home. I have never been and I really haven't allowed myself to dream before now so I am going in without very much knowledge at this point.

I'll be excited to see what you think after you've read everything. The possiblities are almost endless!

Dangit... now you got me wanting to stay on property. :rotfl2:

Does the planning book list all the different resorts and everything? That might be something I'll look into getting, just for fun.

I am going to weigh the options of staying offsite too.

I guess it must the Disneyland one does and the WDW one is much thicker.
