Apples to apples is so much fun! We got that for Christmas last year. They have a Jr. version, if they weren't playing that one.

Hey Nicole and Chele

I see your green lights

:yay:

Hi there!! My light was on......but nobody was home.

I took Kacy for a driving lesson and then we picked Scotty up from work. She is doing real good, but she is thinking that she will find a friend to ride to school with and just drive for errands while we are gone.

:confused3 CRAZY!

:hippie:

FB was boring me. Thought I'd come see what was shakin' over here instead.

It bores me too. That is when I go Disney Dream and plan future trips.

Yeah, FB is boring me too lately

Trent had cub scouts tonight and they played a fun game called apples to apples

It was kind of funny as these are 1st and 2nd graders, so they are still learning to read.....getting them to read some of the words and play the game right was interesting :rotfl2:

That sounds fun.

When my kids were little my MIL bought them the Scrabble Junior game. Now at this point Loren was in the second grade reading and comprehending on an 8th grade level and the girls both read high school level. They looked at her like she had three heads. That was the last time she bought them a gift. After that it was gift cards for Barnes and Noble.

Yeah, I have seen it in the store, but never knew it was

Yeah, they were playing the junior level. Add hyperness to the mix and it was hilarious :rotfl2:

Glad Kacy is doing well with her driving. Hopefully she gets more confidence and will be want to drive more.

THat is great all their reading levels were so high.

Trent is a whiz at math, but reading is a struggle. He is about 7 months behind where he should be. But he is getting help daily and has made so much progress since last year. I am quite proud of him and know he will catch up eventually

Kacy who from her college entrance exam scores was in the last English class they have to have all her English credits could not read when she left kindergarten. Over her break we worked on jump rope and video games. When she started first grade she was reading second grade level. Her teacher explained to me that hand and eye coordination was key I knew then what to do with all of them.

Trent will catch up. I have a friend that teaches and she told me that it takes a while for it all to click for boys but when it does watch out.

UJ has been on a cruise... several cruises as a matter of fact. I think he's over Disney.

We're too good for him anyways

FB is boring me too. Should have just tried to go to sleep at 7:30 instead of trying to sit on the computer.

 sounds like entertainment for the parents

I think UJ is having a mid life crisis!:rotfl:

Agreed

We leave Jan 28th so we'll miss you, too.

This will be the longest we've been in January ... packing for every type of weather from swimsuits to winter coats/hats/gloves. It's crazy!!

The weather is so odd this year every where. I don't know how to pack for my Disneyland trip either. Crazy stuff.

Oh well, maybe next time I suppose.

 Yeah I told Chris he had to pack himself because I'm already going to be going nuts over packing for myself and Alex. But I know if he packs himself he's not going to have what he needs and complain he didn't bring any jeans or a sweatshirt or something like that and then we'll be buying crap like that while we're down there. I'll probably just suck it up and pack him myself because otherwise I'll worry what's in his suit case.

Yeah it is!! It's in the 60's here again this weekend after being in the 20's earlier this week. I don't know how to pack for our trip either. I'm just hoping for no rain. I can handle cold but cold rain? No thanks.

I am so afraid that it is going to rain for our trip. In a way though I hope that it does rain here. We are headed to a horrible drought. I do not remember such a dry year in my life. We have had droughts that accumulated but this one is going to be hard. We have no snow to melt on our hills, without snow we have no run off, with no run off we have no extra water in our rivers and so on and so forth. Kind of scary. I hate to see what the fire danger is going to be. There will be no camping this summer.

YES, you must be prepared for the nutso weather. I'm SO hating it lately. My car's A/C and heat are both out -- and I found this out within the same week b/c the temp changed so much I went from wanting A/C to wanting heat. It's flippin ridiculous!

Oh well, maybe next time I suppose.

I unfortunately don't think I'll ever be able to leave that job up to Mike. As much as I don't want to have to pack for our whole family (I pack enough now as it is...can't imagine what I'll be lugging for a baby/toddler. LOL) he just can't manage to pack enough to wear. I don't know what his problem is. Is it really that difficult to say "okay, we'll be there for 7 days. I'll need at LEAST 7 shirts, 7 pants/shorts, 7 pairs of socks, 7 pairs of underwear, swimsuit, a couple pairs of PJ's ie. sleep shirts (never wear a different one every single night), and comfy shoes." (and hat & sunglasses...which he somehow manages to forget if I don't remind him)

One time I let him pack for a 3 day trip somewhere (can't remember where). He had 2 shirts, one pair of pants, and one of the shirts was a flipping cut off shirt. NEVER again.

Ugh I'll be praying the fires aren't bad. That sounds like it could be very detrimental. :scared1:

I totally over packed when we went for 3 days in August to Pensacola. And that was for a 4 day trip. This to Disney is 8 days! Chris packs the same way which is why I probably will wind up packing for him. The shoes and socks he never thinks about. He thinks he can just wear his sandals all the time and then he complains about his feet being cold. Or he just packs shorts and no jeans and then he complains about his legs being cold. Or he forgets a sweat shirt. The one year when we met Karen and Nikki he wasn't wearing sunglasses and having bad migraines. I TRIED to tell him that people with blue eyes have a harder time with the sun and he needed sunglasses and to stop squinting so he wouldn't have such an attitude towards everyone. He finally listened to me after that trip but not before he made a bad impression on everyone. Men!! Sheesh!!!

Woo hoo!! 38 days for us and Disneyland!!

Missed this!! --Whoo HOo!!!

I now pack Jerry's shirts only bc we do the whole coordinating thing. Other than that, he's on his own. I figure I have enough getting all my clothes and the two girls, plus toiletries, food, toys, bed stuff, tickets, plan, ADR #'s, making sure the pets are taken care of, etc. All I ask is that he gets his clothes ... and pays for the trip, of course;):lmao::rotfl2:

Too funny about the 'lack of packing'

Sorry to hear about your car.
