This is the last trip the 4 of us ever take to WDW. Nov 2-12 *FinalUpdate 3/19* Pg.59

Yay...you met up with ....me! :rotfl2:

It was such a nice meet and Claire loved Juliana!
Notice Claire has her ears on too? Well she came to the meet with them off but when she saw Juliana with hers she dug them out of our bag so she could wear hers too. :rotfl:

Nice update Tim! Great to see Snow White was such a good character experience. She must have been really amazing to charm Christopher out of his comfy stroller.
She was great! He was very smitten with her.

Good job on the DIS meet too! And I like your fountain picture, I don't care what Melody says. :rotfl2:
Apparently, I have a knack of taking the same pictures over & over… according to her. :rolleyes1

I'm glad you remember that because I didn't. :lmao:

Feel free to add anything else I forgot. :rolleyes1

It's a snow day here in New Hampshire. I just spent the morning reading your trip report. :) Your children are beautiful. Congratulations on your new little one.

:welcome: Thanks for reading and the nice comments!!!

It's snowing here today too.. just waiting for the real accumulating snow to start later on this evening.

Well, I've made it all the way through Days 1 and 2! What an awesome start already! The pool, a race, and GRAMMA!!! Woot! But let's not forget a first haircut, the flag lowering (which I've always meant to catch!), and O'hana (I'd go just for the Lapu, but don't tell anyone. :rolleyes1)

We don't waste any time jumping into the magic do we? :rotfl:

You can save quite a bit of $ if you buy the Lapu at the bar outside of Ohana. Just sayin' :rolleyes1

The experts don't.

Indeed. I did it twice. :drinking1

Here's another trick: If you want a second one to share, buy a cheaper Mai Tai and pour it in the pineapple. It's the redneck way to look like you actually paid for the designer label.

Hey what do you know? It's Friday! We had planned a (somewhat) relaxing morning and afternoon, which is something we rarely do but should do more often on our WDW vacations. It was our 2nd trip, or was it our 3rd? Oh sorry. Let's just say it was our 2nd trip when we started a tradition- eat breakfast at Kona. We are Kona lovers. We hoped in the car and headed here:

I think the kids were looking for the hidden Mickey…. or Christopher threw something through the railing?

It wasn't long before we were sipping on a pressed pot. Now I'm not a coffee drinker but I love 100% Kona coffee. Melody thinks I'm weird because I basically drink it black.

We ordered the fruit plate to split between everyone before our breakfast came and it was soooo good.

Juliana even had to to work on some homework while we waited for our food to arrive.

It wasn't long before our food came. I went with the macadamia nut pancakes this time- which I love.

Melody and my mom both had the Tonga Toast:

Christopher and Juliana spit the kids pancakes:

… which Christopher decided to eat like a sandwich.

We had a great breakfast and were stuffed. Of course we would be back again.

Juliana has named this guy 'her' tiki guy…

When Christopher wasn't riding in the stroller, we was helping push.

We headed back to CSR and the kids enjoyed some afternoon swimming.

It was about 3 o'clock when we loaded the car up again to take a little drive… where would we be headed? Maybe here?

We pulled up and flashed my mom's AAA Diamond Parking pass and got close enough that we didn't even take the tram. Score!

The girls posing with Mickey.

When we got up the the monorail we saw a sign that the party was sold out.. I guess that would put a wrench in my plans.

Unless………

I already had tickets!!!!

What do you think about that girls?

We were debating back and forth about buying tickets to the party. First, normally our kids goto bed early. Second, this was a long week and we knew they would be shot. Third, when we finally decided to buy tickets, the party was sold out. I searched around online and found a site that had tickets available for this party. Yes, I know it was crazy going to a sold out party but we primarily went to see the parade and the fireworks and of course the decorations.

Everyone was getting excited.

Hey, where's Mickey? Oh, there he is!

We got off the monorail at 4:03pm. That was pretty good timing.

What did we find as we walked off the monorail? A sea of humanity. The lines to get in were so long. The boat must of arrived just before us. It was sick…

Hopefully this wasn't foreshadowing what we were in for.

Up next… a DIS meet and a party

There ya go! plus they take TIW at that bar too…. ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Good idea!!!! pirate:

You mean the TIW Card I'll never have? ...because APs fall squarely into the Pipe Dream category. Yeah, that one. :rolleyes2 Glenn and I *just* talked about this on his thread.

I wish it was my idea, but that would be intellectual plagaraism. It was actually my server's idea. He got a tidy tip.

Well, with a $4 raise anything is possible. ;)

Well kudos to him! Next thing you'll be telling me is to sneak a flask into the park to spike my Dole Whip. :cool2:

I'm a huge Kona Café fan let alone those glorious pineapple macadamia nut pancakes that I order every trip. I've almost convinced myself that more than one breakfast per trip may be in order.

Ahhh you almost had me with the pouty face photo of the gals for the MVMCP. I thought you were going to have to turn the car around and head back. Crazy crowds but if you were only venturing in for fireworks and the parade I'm sure it's completely fine.... However, I suspect you'll do more than just park it on Main Street for those two things though. :)

I would never do any such thing... eh hmm...

(well, ok, maybe just once. Or twice.)
:rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:

We've had ADRs there for more than once a trip 2 times but haven't made the 2nd breakfast both times. :badpc:

Imagine if we had to turn back. That would of stunk!

Well, we'll just have to see what was on our agenda. ;)

Yes. Yes it is. :rolleyes1

Christopher and Juliana spit the kids pancakes:

:rotfl: Our kids love to eat pancakes like that. We always keep some in the freezer to toss in the microwave so they can eat breakfast in the car on the way to the sitter.:rotfl2:

We pulled up and flashed my mom's AAA Diamond Parking pass and got close enough that we didn't even take the tram. Score!
And that reason alone, is why I book through them. Sorry to the Disdads TA's... :rolleyes1

 :faint:

Yay for Kona! I have yet to eat there. I really should give it a shot. Don't let Mel hassle you too much about the coffee, I drink my tea black. I also don't drink coffee, my boss tells me all the time I'm not a real accountant because of it lol....I guess accountants are coffee addicts?? Those look like huge crowds! Hope it didn't take too long to get in!

I've looked for that Mickey before at the Contemporary. Where the heck is he?

Holy Cow...that a lot of people going in. I hope it wasn't so bad once you got in. Our plan was to go to MK in the afternoon but the rest of the family didn't have hoppers and Claire wanted to spend more time with her cousin so we went back to DHS after the tea party

What a fun update! :)

I choose to believe they were looking for the hidden Mickey. ;)

I will never be able to thank you enough for turning us on to Kona. I could go for about two of those pressed pot coffees right now with all the snow and the frigid cold that is coming. We can't wait to share a Kona breakfast with you in September.

Christopher looks quite happy with his pancake. :thumbsup2

When I saw the picture of the sad ladies, I had to stop and think. I was sure you got the tickets and then I thought well the trip was so long ago maybe I was confusing it with another trip. And then I saw the "happy picture."

Can't wait to hear all about the party.

I have really enjoyed reading your TR. I have been looking for a TR with someone with kids ages around mine. I will be taking my DSs 3 and 17 months to Disney next month and I am freaking out. It looks like little Christopher enjoyed himself (by the way he is ADORABLE) so it gives me hope for my little guy. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of your trip went.
