This is the last trip the 4 of us ever take to WDW. Nov 2-12 *FinalUpdate 3/19* Pg.59

Yay for kona! I loved my press pot , yup drank it all up!

Oh what a sneaky guy you were surprising the girls with party tickets!

All By Myself.....

Soooo.... ummm.... erm... how do I say this? You've lost weight. A lot of it. You look good.

Must be all the HALF pastrami sandwiches you've been eating. Sorry that was so disappointing. :guilty:

You need better getting-in-trouble skills. Just sayin'.

Yes. Yes it is. :rolleyes1
Not anymore. By the time you read this it will be Monday. pirate:

Our kids love to eat pancakes like that. We always keep some in the freezer to toss in the microwave so they can eat breakfast in the car on the way to the sitter.
:rotfl2:

Hey, as long as they eat something right?:rolleyes1

And that reason alone, is why I book through them. Sorry to the Disdads TA's&
You can always just buy 1 WDW ticket through them and get the pass and book the rest of the trip with a TA&. just sayin'

Yay for Kona! I have yet to eat there. I really should give it a shot. Don't let Mel hassle you too much about the coffee, I drink my tea black. I also don't drink coffee, my boss tells me all the time I'm not a real accountant because of it lol....I guess accountants are coffee addicts?? Those look like huge crowds! Hope it didn't take too long to get in!
OK&. let me tell you& ummm& I demand you to book there next trip. You'll thank me later. :rotfl:

Your boss is right ya know. :roll eyes:

I've looked for that Mickey before at the Contemporary. Where the heck is he?
He is sitting on a building. We were on the express monorail and it was before we went inside the CR. So staring at CR from the parking lot it would be to the right.

Holy Cow...that a lot of people going in. I hope it wasn't so bad once you got in. Our plan was to go to MK in the afternoon but the rest of the family didn't have hoppers and Claire wanted to spend more time with her cousin so we went back to DHS after the tea party
I think the secret is out that you can get in at 4pm with the party ticket. Juliana had a 10day n/e ticket so we didn't want to get in before 4 and 'waste' one of her days.

What a fun update! :)
Thank you Ms. Kat

I choose to believe they were looking for the hidden Mickey. ;)
Yea, my kids would never do anything like throw something over a railing.

I will never be able to thank you enough for turning us on to Kona. I could go for about two of those pressed pot coffees right now with all the snow and the frigid cold that is coming. We can't wait to share a Kona breakfast with you in September.
You're welcome. I told you how many times to go there??

Hope you are staying warm in icy ChiTown.

Christopher looks quite happy with his pancake.
He's a boy. Toss some food in front of him and he's happy.

When I saw the picture of the sad ladies, I had to stop and think. I was sure you got the tickets and then I thought well the trip was so long ago maybe I was confusing it with another trip. And then I saw the "happy picture."

Can't wait to hear all about the party.
Hey, I'm a Disney veteran. I'd never made THAT big of a mistake. :lmao::lmao:

I have really enjoyed reading your TR. I have been looking for a TR with someone with kids ages around mine. I will be taking my DSs 3 and 17 months to Disney next month and I am freaking out. It looks like little Christopher enjoyed himself (by the way he is ADORABLE) so it gives me hope for my little guy. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of your trip went.
:welcome: Thanks for reading.

We just took our 5 month old and honestly, she was easier than Christopher who was 26 months. She slept in the carrier and was mostly an angel. We should of taken more breaks (who am I kidding& we should of taken at least 1 break) but we have a hard time doing that. I'm sure you will have a great time. :goodvibes

Yay for kona! I loved my press pot , yup drank it all up!
Bet you enjoyed it to the last drop too. :lmao:

Oh what a sneaky guy you were surprising the girls with party tickets!
They may or may not of knew we were going. :rolleyes1

All By Myself&..
Hey, my thread is your thread. Make yourself at home. popcorn::

Soooo.... ummm.... erm... how do I say this? You've lost weight. A lot of it. You look good.
Thank you and that is because I was running- training for a 1/2 marathon. I've kinda fell off the wagon. Once this snow melts and the roads are clear, I'm going to start training again. (I think I've added on a few pounds)

Must be all the HALF pastrami sandwiches you've been eating. Sorry that was so disappointing. :guilty:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You need better getting-inn-trouble skills. Just sayin'.
Who? Me? Tim---> :littleangel:

Let's just say it was our 2nd trip when we started a tradition- eat breakfast at Kona. We are Kona lovers.

With good reason! Kona is awesome.

I think the kids were looking for the hidden Mickey…. or Christopher threw something through the railing?

At first I read "Christopher threw up something through the railing." :scared1:

It wasn't long before we were sipping on a pressed pot. Now I'm not a coffee drinker but I love 100% Kona coffee. Melody thinks I'm weird because I basically drink it black.

Kona coffee is the only kind of coffee I could even think of drinking black. It just doesn't have the bitterness that other coffees do.

… which Christopher decided to eat like a sandwich.

As parents, we don't care, as long as they eat it.:thumbsup2

When we got up the the monorail we saw a sign that the party was sold out.. I guess that would put a wrench in my plans.

Unless………

I already had tickets!!!!

What do you think about that girls?

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Nice work on the pictures!

What did we find as we walked off the monorail? A sea of humanity.

:faint:

With good reason! Kona is awesome.
Yes. Yes it is. I could go for some Kona right now.

At first I read "Christopher threw up something through the railing." :scared1:
oh boy- that would of been terrible. :faint:

Kona coffee is the only kind of coffee I could even think of drinking black. It just doesn't have the bitterness that other coffees do.
Is it weird that I don't like any other coffee but love Kona coffee? :confused3

As parents, we don't care, as long as they eat it.:thumbsup2
true. :faint:

Nice work on the pictures!
Thanks. I swear people around us must think we are weird sometimes. :3dglasses popcorn::

When I last left you we were staring at the security line.

It didn't take too long to get through security. It would probably go faster if people stopped bringing so many bags to the park. LOL

When Melody & I finally decided that we were going to go to MVMCP on this day, the party was sold out. I looked online to see if I could find someone selling tickets. I found a broker that was selling tickets to all the parties. I had the tickets sent to the resort and when I opened them they didn't have a date on them. I was a tad nervous walking through the turnstiles but we got in with no problem. This is what they looked like:

Juliana was asking all week for a balloon and we finally gave in.

We are such good parents, we let Christopher 'share' the $10 balloon with her.

We stopped for a quick bite to eat then headed over to ride on the flying elephant.

While we were riding I heard someone calling my name… Oh, I knew that voice!

It was my old 'friend', and fellow DISdad, Randall who was with his wife Jodi!

After talking for a few minutes, Randall turned on me and swore his allegiance to my nemesis Barry- FreezinRafiki here on the boards. Barry had instructed Randall to make a mockery of me- and he did that by throwing me to the ground and doing the Captain Morgan pose on my back.

The only way to get Randall off of my back was to bribe him with Space Mountain fast passes. He went for it.

We strolled on over to Space. Juliana, Randall, and I went on SM while Jodi stayed with Melody and my mom.

We even made Randall sit in the front.

When we got off the ride we watched a guy make a Mickey with a mop and bucket.

It was such a great evening and the sunset was gorgeous.

We had a great time meeting up with Randall & Jodi. They were heading out of MK because it was almost 7 and they weren't staying for party.

It was almost party time and we fit in 1 more ride.

After spinning ourselves silly, we were ready to party. And what's a party without a little dancing!!! We walked over to Cosmic Ray's which had been turned into Club Tinsel!

Up next…. parade time!

Yes, Tim; you might want to cut down on the number of bags you bring in.

That would have had me chewing my nails with worry.

Juliana was asking all week for a balloon and we finally gave in.

Those balloons are not cheap (and there are more expensive ones too!). Nice of you to let Christopher share. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I guess Aunt Kathy will have to buy him his own in September.

We stopped for a quick bite to eat then headed over to ride on the flying elephant.

Great pictures on Mark's favorite ride.

You guys are really strange. :rolleyes1

The only way to get Randall off of my back was to bride him with Space Mountain fast passes. He went for it.

So proud of Juliana for riding this; but I won't be riding with her.

When we got off the ride we watched a guy make a Mickey with a mop and bucket.

I love when they do this.

Great picture of mom and daughter.

That poor child...I can't believe the things you make him wear. :crazy2:

I love watching the kids dance in there.

I hope your pictures are better than mine. :scratchin

It didn't take too long to get through security. It would probably go faster if people stopped bringing so many bags to the park. LOL

Or kids. Stop taking your kids to Disney World!:rotfl:

I found a broker that was selling tickets to all the parties. I had the tickets sent to the resort and when I opened them they didn't have a date on them. I was a tad nervous walking through the turnstiles but we got in with no problem.

Your "broker" wasn't standing in the parking lot shouting, "Who needs tickets?", was he?

We are such good parents, we let Christopher 'share' the $10 balloon with her.

Awww...(sniffle)

While we were riding I heard someone calling my name… Oh, I knew that voice!

It was my old 'friend', and fellow DISdad, Randall who was with his wife Jodi!

Santa!!!

After talking for a few minutes, Randall turned on me and swore his allegiance to my nemesis Barry- FreezinRafiki here on the boards. Barry had instructed Randall to make a mockery of me- and he did that by throwing me to the ground and doing the Captain Morgan pose on my back.

Well, he sure showed you.

The only way to get Randall off of my back was to bride him with Space Mountain fast passes. He went for it.

Quick thinking!

It was such a great evening and the sunset was gorgeous.

Very nice!!

And what's a party without a little dancing!!

A better one!

Bet you enjoyed it to the last drop too. :lmao:

yes I did! was to expensive to leave behind, thankfully our waiter brought me a to go cup so I could finish it :thumbsup2

love your holiday shirts!
so nice you finally gave in to Juliana and bought her a balloon! um I think she was the one who shared with Christopher :goodvibes

funny shot of you and Randall, were you getting weird looks from people walking past?

great photo of the sunset! and the rides!

dance party! we didn't go in during our party, Megan felt weird dancing without a friend and wouldn't let me go :lmao:

Awe, looks like a fun family evening.
It was a fun night. I'm glad we decided to do it. :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear more ;)
I'll get to that someday…. ::yes::

Yes, Tim; you might want to cut down on the number of bags you bring in.
Wait to you see us… you're gonna be like :scared1: :sad2: :scratchin :confused3 :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

That would have had me chewing my nails with worry.
Well 2 things were gonna happen- 1) They worked 2) They didn't work. And if they didn't work someone was gonna hear it from me. :rotfl2:

Those balloons are not cheap (and there are more expensive ones too!). Nice of you to let Christopher share. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I guess Aunt Kathy will have to buy him his own in September.
I know they are expensive but that isn't normally the problem. The problem is that when she get tired of carrying it, you know like 5 minutes after I buy it, it gets tied to the stroller and bonks me in the face for the rest of the day. :faint:

Great pictures on Mark's favorite ride.
We're ready to ride it with him!

You guys are really strange. :rolleyes1
Ya think? :confused3

So proud of Juliana for riding this; but I won't be riding with her.
Yes you will… wait till she asks you. ::yes:: :flower3:

It really is gorgeous.
It was such a beautiful night…. Wish I could be there right now.

Great picture of mom and daughter.
Thanks!

That poor child...I can't believe the things you make him wear. :crazy2:
Don't bring him any Cubs gear. :furious:

I love watching the kids dance in there.
They were having a blast. :hyper:

I hope your pictures are better than mine. :scratchin
We were staring at some lights that were reeking havoc on my camera… but I have a few that came out ok.

It didn't take too long to get through security. It would probably go faster if people stopped bringing so many bags to the park. LOL
Maybe they should just ban them and give people something else to complain about. :thumbsup2

I had the tickets sent to the resort and when I opened them they didn't have a date on them. I was a tad nervous walking through the turnstiles but we got in with no problem.
I would have been very nervous about that... :scared1:

After talking for a few minutes, Randall turned on me and swore his allegiance to my nemesis Barry- FreezinRafiki here on the boards. Barry had instructed Randall to make a mockery of me- and he did that by throwing me to the ground and doing the Captain Morgan pose on my back.
Wow... this just reminded me how old this TR is. :rolleyes1

We strolled on over to Space. Juliana, Randall, and I went on SM while Jodi stayed with Melody and my mom.
Did the penguins ride, or did they stay behind?

Or kids. Stop taking your kids to Disney World!:rotfl:
I know. Seriously. :mic:

Your "broker" wasn't standing in the parking lot shouting, "Who needs tickets?", was he?
Oh course not. What do you think this is, Yankee Stadium?

Awww...(sniffle)
Touching isn't it? :rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Well, he sure showed you.
He did… lucky he had a cane or I would of had to get nasty. :duck:

A better one!
party:

yes I did! was to expensive to leave behind, thankfully our waiter brought me a to go cup so I could finish it :thumbsup2
That was nice of him! It would be a sin to leave any behind. :scared:

love your holiday shirts!
Thank you!

so nice you finally gave in to Juliana and bought her a balloon! um I think she was the one who shared with Christopher :goodvibes
I think you are right! :rotfl:

funny shot of you and Randall, were you getting weird looks from people walking past?
I'm sure we were but people always look at me weird so it was nothing out of the ordinary. :lmao::lmao:

great photo of the sunset! and the rides!
Thanks!!!

dance party! we didn't go in during our party, Megan felt weird dancing without a friend and wouldn't let me go :lmao:
Awwww… that stinks!!! You should of said fine and left her at the door while you went in. :lmao:

Maybe they should just ban them and give people something else to complain about. :thumbsup2
True. But we are offenders. We usually have 3-4 bags with us. :tiptoe:

I would have been very nervous about that... :scared1:
I asked them numerous times on the phone and they said they were valid. I didn't get any AP discount or anything but they were sold at face value so I just went for it. :scratchin

Wow... this just reminded me how old this TR is. :rolleyes1
Yea, ya think? :badpc: :faint: :badpc:

Did the penguins ride, or did they stay behind?
I'm sure they rode. Luckily, they were put way for the pictures. :crazy2:

that's nice said:

Who? Me? Tim---> :littleangel:

I intend to. Thanks. ;)

You mean you don't want to run in -20 ° weather? Wuss.

Ah... the Tim with the halo. Riiiiiight.

Caught up and

You got tickets to a sold out party  Glad it all worked out but yup add me to the nervous group.

You captured a beautiful sunset there Tim.

Looks like everyone was having a blast there.

Waka Waka Pt. 1...

No, you're not the only one who thinks it's special to be in the parks before they're open. It's amazing to see an empty park, and for a short time claim it as your own. WOOT! (I'd say we're pathetic to get a buzz off of that, but well, I'm happy to own that title.)

Cute pix with the characters- so glad Christopher finally got into the groove. :woohoo:

And huzzah for you for "just taking pictures". Those to me are the very best ones. I mean afterall, Disney put a lot of effort into making everything "just right". There aren't very many places you can't find something interesting, memorable or eye catching.

I intend to. Thanks. ;)
:rotfl2:

You mean you don't want to run in -20 ° weather? Wuss.
Not particularly. :sad2:

Ah... the Tim with the halo. Riiiiiight.
HEY! What are you trying to say? popcorn::

Caught up and

You got tickets to a sold out party  Glad it all worked out but yup add me to the nervous group.
:lmao: If they didn't work would I've been pissed? Of course. Thankfully it didn't come to that. :scared:

You captured a beautiful sunset there Tim.
Thanks! I really like that picture.

We were… too bad this is the last trip the 4 of us take to WDW. :roll eyes:

I agree. I guess we will have to book a CP breakfast next time to get in MK early.

Cute pix with the characters- so glad Christopher finally got into the groove. :woohoo:
After the first day or so he was good with the characters. Thank goodness. That could of made for a looooong trip if he didn't warm up to them.

And huzzah for you for "just taking pictures". Those to me are the very best ones. I mean afterall, Disney put a lot of effort into making everything "just right". There aren't very many places you can't find something interesting, memorable or eye catching.
Melody always tells me I take the same pictures over and over. She is partially right, but I don't remember what I take a picture of. If I like what I see, I shoot it. :scratchin
