I called and double checked & they claim it is right.

Jan. 4-10
2 rooms Pop
2 adults 4 kids, 12, 10, 7, & 6
Reg dining
Park Hopper/ No water parks
No insurance

Before 5/2 $4095.52
After 5/2 $3860.50

Only $235.02 difference, does this seem right???

I was just thinking the same thing about mine!! I am reading that people are saving HUNDREDS of dollars and mine was only a $250 savings

ASSp.....Jan 22 to 30th
2 adults, 2 kids...7 and 3
7 day base tickets....no hopper
DDP
before it was $2705 ish
now it is $2450 ish
so we only saved like $250.....I guess it is better than nothing but I really thought it was going to be more:confused3

That is what I was thinking after reading everyone else's savings. Hopefully someone can comfort us in that our discounts were so low!

Unfortunately it does seem right. The two nights at $100ish a night is what you are saving. People who are booking deluxes are saving over $400 a night. The deal doesn't really do much for people doing the value hotels. If you price it out staying a a moderate will cost pretty much the same as a value, so you can look into those if you like any of those choices.

I totally understand what you mean! I have called twice to check the total on mine! We have 2 adults 2 kids (8 and 4) standard room at POP 8 dayMYW with park hopper only reg dining no water parks no insurance and the total is $3006! Before the discount it was over $3500!!! We went this past spring break with same tix and hotel and it cost us just over $2000!!! We appreciate any saviings we get, but they might have to change the name from "VALUE"!!!! Good grief!

That is a very good point, it seems like you're giving up one of your free nights! Can you stay another day?

Do you have both rooms under one reservation number? If so, the code would be applied to the reservation and maybe you are only getting it on one room. Maybe you should change your reservation to 1 adult and 1 child in the first room and make a different reservation for the rest of your family. That way you would have 2 reservation numbers and could apply the code to both. Just a thought.

Are you taking into account that The dining plan is not included so you pay for all days of that?

I called back and booked the extra night. I thought it was days not nights. Now I'm back up to 4044.60 with the dining. UGH! I appreciate the discount, but I would like free dining! I can dream right????

Wow that does seem high!
we are staying at pop standard room. jan 31st-6th only 6 nights with 2 adults 2 kids 4-6 Reg dinning and 6 day base tickets. for total of $1995.98
and it cost me more to stay the extra day LOL.. because I have to pay for the dinning. My package before was $1971.00 for 6 nights. and I added the free night and it came to $1995.98 :confused3 not much savings LOL.

A lot of people have added the dining plan and you are still paying full price for that. That is why if we do this deal I will pay for food oop because DS is 10 so according to disney he eats like an adult and I must pay the adult price for him. He will not eat off of the adult menu so I will pay oop pocket for our food. I would also consider staying at Mod. instead value with this deal because you don't pay much more and you get more of a resort (my kids love the water slides). I am an over planner and I have actually calculated what it will cost me for the 4/3 or 5/2 deal, free dining, or % off (20, 30 or 40) for each hotel at different levels (pop, CBR, or CR). I was amazed at how depending on the deal my choice in hotel may change.

I actually would perfer a % off code, pay oop for my food, and buy discounted tickets but I will take what disney has to offer as long as I don't have to pay rack rates. :scared1:

oyu also have to take into account that they are taking the highest nightly rate for the days you are staying and charging that for all the nights you are paying for. I thought 4/7 would be a lttle better deal for us, but we have 1 night at a holiday rate.

Yeah, I mentioned this before that if you are not taking full advantage of the 7 days you are losing out on some savings. Yes you will pay full for your dining and the 1st 4 days of your trip are what you are paying for-no additional cost if your trip ends over the weekend-that's what I'm told. You will also pay extra for park hoppers instead of base tickets. And now they are changing it from 5/2 for value & some say moderate -4/3 for deluxes & no $$$ gift card like last time....I'm still debating on whether or not it's worth it for us.

When I was on the phone trying to sort this out I asked 2 different cm's if they thought they would offer free dining. I was told NO by both. So I guess for now I am happy with my $50.00.

Yeah, DDP is going to cost you close to $1,350 for 7 days. It is too bad you couldn't go a month earlier and catch Free Dining. Maybe there is still hope for a Free Dining PIN code?

If you are concerned about the cost, how about cancelling the hoppers? That would save $300 and with 7 days, you may not need to do much hopping. Also, will your two oldest children eat a full meal off the adult menu each? If not, paying OOP might save you another few hundred dollars.

We are a family of 6 too, and I am trying to get as many visits as possible in before my kids are "Disney Adults". Too afraid we will never be able to afford it once that happens :rotfl:

The 4/3 HAS NEVER been combined or included with free dining. So if free dining became available you would have to choose between the 4/3 OR free dining.

I would definetly choose free dining. I'm not worried about eliminating things. It's just nice to get discounts. The cheaper the better right? More mulah to spend at the parks!!! My 10 & 12 yos will eat from the adult menu. They are tiny but big eaters. In 2007 my 12 yo was 10 and ate from the adult menu. UGH!!! Boys!!!!!
