I have an ADR at 'Ohana for our first night (DH, DW, DS(4,7)) I don't think DH and DS4 are going to like it. (Not big meat eaters.)
So, I want to change...

We are staying at CSR and want to spend the evening at MK. Our flight arrives at MCO at 1:00.

Any advice???
Spoodles sounds WONDERFUL! But I'm not sure about the whole travel issue. (We will not have a car.) Still, it is my top pick.

But I was considering just eating at Maya at CSR. OR Kona at the Poly. I really want to decide today so I can quit thinking about it!!! Please give me some ideas....

THANKS!! :cheer2:

Our first night was 1900 park fare and it really put us in a Disney mood. Maybe Chef mickeys since you want to start at MK.

I also suggest Chef Mickey's!

How about Crystal Palace since you want to be at MK?

Allyson :)

The Kona Cafe is one of the best Disney restaurants, and it is literally right across the hall from OHana. If you want characters, then Chef Mickeys or 1900 Park Faire are fine, but they are buffets. If you want great food, try Kona!

(I would do Spoodles on some other day--it's not a great commute to MK from there)

When we ate 'Ohana, I was pretty full by time the meat actually was served. Really, we all ate very little of the meat. I think you can enjoy 'Ohana even if you aren't a big meat eater. :thumbsup2

But, I would also suggest Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's for a fun first night meal. CP has better food I think, but CM has Mickey and is really fun! We did absolutely love our meal at 'Ohana too.

You can also make a request via calling the Poly directly - 3-5 days before your ADR and request whatever they'll eat. I know Mac & Chz is already an option at this restaurant for kids.

How doable Spoodles, Kona, and Maya are logistically depend upon your plans.

If you're planning to get to MK asap, then break for dinner, then go back to MK, I'd choose Kona as the alternative. It is on the monorail whereas both Spoodles and Maya are bus rides and will take a bit longer to get to.

If you are planning to bum around your resort, then eat an early dinner, then go into the MK, Maya is a great choice. But suddenly Spoodles is doable here. But it would be much better logistically if you could put it on a day when you are at MGM or Epcot. But if you do it here under this scenario, route route through MGM to get there.

If you are planning to get to MK asap and then eat late, you may run into a problem. If you are at Kona and MK closes, the TTC is not a bus hub. You will have to route through another park that is open or DTD. If you are at Spoodles and MGM closes, you route through MK if it's open, or DTD. In any case, routing through DTD when your resort is CSR after hours is like Flying from Atlanta to Birmingham with a stop in Pittsburgh. I'd probably go with Maya if you check times and think you may be eating past park closing times. I'd rule Spoodles out if you think you may be eating past the time MGM Closes.

Thank you so much! That REALLY helped me decide.
We are just going to take our time checking in, check out the CSR, have dinner at the Maya Grill at 5:00, then enjoy the MK for the rest of the evening.

I guess we'll try the other places next time... so much food, so few nights... ;)
