For real? They made her a ward of the state and then decided she was too expensive and they didn't want to deal with it anymore? Are you kidding me?

I just can't stop thinking about this case. This whole scenario is so seriously disturbing. I truly can't imagine what I would do. I'm pretty sure it would involve physically removing my kid, which wouldn't end well because I'm short and not very strong, so I'd probably be easily overtaken by the guards, get thrown in jail, and end up losing all custody of the kids. But I really don't think I'd be able to sit by and deal with lawyers and paperwork and social workers and crap while they kept my children from me.

I admired the father for ignoring the gag order and coming out to the media. I'm sure he had the same fears about what would happen to the rest of his family.

I just pray that maybe the high profile nature of this travesty perhaps gains them the help of additional experts on their daughter's illness and they can get her on the road to recovery.

The filed charges against another family who were on the Boston version of Chronicle last night.

Justina Pelletier can finally go home to her parents tomorrow, per the judge.

Thank God! I hope her parents sue for a trillion dollars. That hospital and doctor need to be censured.

The Dr. needs to be reported and investigated by the state medical board and stripped of license.

The hospital, needs to learn Patients Rights for starters. And citizens need to know their rights as well, generally speaking.

There was a case similar , Bret Bohn who even as an adult had a similar experience in another state and was just recently freed as a ward, how dare anyone ask for a second opinion.

This whole situation is just mind blowing. I cannot fathom how they have all coped during the last year. Glad the child is going home, hope justice is done for this family.
