This Is A Poncho-Free Zone!--May 22-29, 2010 PTR (New PTR!!!! 5/31)

I think Wilderness Lodge is a PERFECT choice for your December trip! We ate dinner there on Christmas Day so I'll have those pictures coming up in my TR. Of all the resorts that we visited this one screamed Christmas to me the most, you'll love it!

On to the clothes - oh my goodness, so cute! Makes me wish I had a little girl to dress up, boys are just no fun that way!

Thanks for the link, Becky. Unfortunately, they don't have my size :(. I really should start paying closer attention to the Disney Store site.

No problem, Jackie!! I'm sorry they don't have your size--yeah, a 3X/4X would swallow you whole!!! :lmao: Yeah, I'm on that site a little too much!! :goodvibes

Becky, I think the WL is a terrific choice! I saw that you became a fan of WL on FB and said hmmm to myself. I couldn't imagine you'd want to stay anywhere but the Poly. I completely agree, though. The Poly is perfect for a summer getaway, but the pictures I've seen of the WL Christmas tree and decorations are so beautiful.
I love all of your buys-- I saw the Minnie bling sweatshirt online when I was looking for a gift for a friend's baby and contemplated ordering a Youth Large for myself! Too cute. The matching Tink PJ's are adorable! Think you can get Brent in a coordinating pair?? :rotfl:

Oooh--you are very smart Kylie!! I did become a fan of WL on FB!! Now you understand why!! ;) Hee hee!! Not sure Brent would like that idea!!! :rotfl:

Thanks Michelle!! Oooh--yay!! more WL pics!! Can't wait to see them!! Did you eat at Whispering Canyon?! Some friends of ours (who were there the same time as us in May) ate there early on in their trip. Well, Mike (the hubby) just raved about it and went on and on about the endless milkshakes!! They even cancelled a reservation the last night they were there so they could eat at Whispering Canyon a SECOND time!!! :thumbsup2

Oh, your clothes are SO CUTE!!!! The girls are just going to darling!

And the Wilderness Lodge - wonderful!! :cool1: That will be gorgeous for Christmas, I'm sure.

Cross your fingers for me....I am pricing a Disney Dream cruise that leaves next year on my birthday (Feb 10) so I hope it works out!!! :woohoo:

Thank you Katie!!! I am getting sooo excited about BOTH trips!!

Oooh--a Disney Dream cruise--how wonderful!!! I hope things work out so you can go!! What a great way to celebrate a birthday!! :goodvibes

YAY for the WL! :cheer2: Remember, I voted for that four or five pages ago! We stayed there the week after Thanksgiving back in 2005. It was beautiful, all decorated for Christmas. I remember just crying when I walked in and saw that tree in the center! (I am such a Disney NERD!)

Love all the girls' matching outfits for your trips! My girls are 27 months apart, so I remember buying all those matching or coordinating sisters' outfits. Now, they just want to wear the other's clothes! ;)

Yes, I do remember you suggesting WL!!! Thank you Michelle!! :goodvibes Oh wow--that sounds amazing! Do you have any pics to share?!

It is a lot of fun dressing the girls alike!! And Ally still doesn't mind so I hope that lasts a few more years! My girls are 3 years and 3 weeks apart--exact seasons and everything!! So I have saved some of Ally's clothes for her!! :goodvibes

I do have pics! :goodvibes I will post some later when I'm home. You'll love everything being under one roof at the WL.

Hi Becky! Ooh WL sounds amazing for Christmas!! We're eating dinner at Artist Point on July 4th for our 2 year anniversary, and we will hopefully be staying there for a weekend in August :cool1: (when prices are better compared to July 4th weekend hehehe)!! I'll let you know what happens and of course I will take lots of pictures :) I love your girls' outfits for May and November/December trips, they're so cute...the Tiana nightgown is so pretty, and I love the matching PJ's! If only I were smaller and a bit younger...I am 5' 1'' and can wear a child's XL in most Disney things like hoodies, sweatpants, and t-shirts (for those times when the adult versions are too long or large)...but that's as far as I would go hehe. Well I love everything for your trips so far (and the fruit snacks are too cute) and can't wait to read more! I'd love to meet up with you either on the 22nd or 23rd to say Hi so when it gets closer just let me know what you would prefer! I'd love to be a part of a DIS Meet! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far! :goodvibes

We did eat at Whispering Canyon and it was really good. We had a set holiday menu though for Christmas Day instead of their regular menu, so I can't comment on any of their 'normal' food. BUT, the boys did get the milkshakes and were BIG fans!

Oh--ok!! I bet your boys liked those milkshakes--YUM! I've looked at pics of the food there and it looks really yummy! :goodvibes

The milkshakes are super-yummy. We've eaten there several times, and have always enjoyed it. The skillet is great! :thumbsup2

WOW! I'm impressed Laura!! It has been interesting planning for 7 people this time instead of 4! I cannot imagine planning for 20!!!

Hi! I'm a little late to the party but I wanted to sub and let you know that I've enjoyed reading your trip report so far. I've started my PTR for our trip in September but I'm still trying to figure out the picture thing. I should have them up soon!

Your daughters are adorable and your family is beautiful! I can't wait to hear more about your plans! We are huge South Carolina fans, but we were definitely rooting for the Tide. So glad they won! The SEC is awesome! Just wish our team could play a little better! :lmao:

Melissa

We've eaten at the WCC twice and loved it. This time we're going for breakfast and a dinner ressie. hopefully I can handle the noise in the morning.

WARNING---THIS WILL BE ANOTHER LONG POST :rotfl:

We did eat at the Whispering Canyon at the WL one night and it was GREAT!!I will be posting about it on my TR..but not for a while as it was at the end of our trip. In the waiting area, they have a Lincoln Log table for the kids to play. Then, when you are seated, they do all the funny things like the ketchup act and the cell phone act (if you have heard about that). Some waitresses are more in your face than others, but it wasnt too much. Probably every 10-15 minutes or so. The kids got light up Tinkerbell and Lighting McQueen cups they loved. We got apple vinaigrette salad and cornbread which was AMAZING and then we split the "meal" that comes with ribs, mashed potatoes, chicken, corn, etc. I dont eat meat, but my DH was raving about it!! The kids then participated in the wooden horse race around the restaurant. It was so much fun---highlight of our trip. The best part is that as soon as you walk into the lobby at the WL, the smells of the delish food are in the air...always! The restaurant is completely open to the lobby. It is just wonderful :cloud9:
