"This House" on 3/4 acre in YOUR area... what does it cost?

In Middletown, Delaware around $365,000.

There's a 10 percent regression from the past year.

It's a buyer's market in this area. I know a couple of houses like your question and it's sitting on the market for many months now.

It would really depend on how it is finished. Around here that house would maybe sell for $450,000 if you had the right buyer. There is a house similar to that in town that is actually bigger that sat on the market for about 3-4 years listed in the low $400,000's. The most expensive house for sale in our town just went on the market and it is listed at $530,000 and they are really going to have a HARD time selling that house. Most people put more money into their lake cabins then their homes. They will probably take a loss on the home.

I live in Nashville, TN. In my particular neighborhood this home would go for $300,000 to $350,000, but in ritzier areas definitely $1 million+

In one of the more affluent Atlanta suburbs, it would cost around $700,000. In one of the less affluent or further from the city suburbs, it would cost around $400,000 I would guess.

If you put that house in the ritzy development, you'd need a stone front and it would be around $500,000 - 600,000, with the land.

If you built it in "the country" or in a less exclusive neighborhood, you'd build it for about $250,000 including the land.

You'd be mandated to have your landscape professionally done in the ritzy development, too, but not in "the country."

I put "the country" in quotes because you can get there within 10 minutes of the city and most of the employment.

That would go anywhere from 900 thousand to over 2 or 2.5 millon if it was on or near the water. 900 if it was a regular lot.

I would say it would go about $950,000 to over a million in my area. You'd get half a million just for the land. Go about 20 miles north east to my parents' area (southeastern MA) and it would go for about $1.3million

In my area you could probably get the land and the house for under $300,000. We have some of the more reasonable home prices in the nation. The farther out you are willing to live the cheaper the price. If your willing to do a 50 mile commute you could probably push the price to below $250,000 land included. When I say land I mean more than the 3/4 acre. You could get 2 to 5 for the price.

About 500k in the sticks (almost halfway between Chicago and Iowa) to close to 1 million in the nicer Western suburbs, to 2-3 million in the nicer Northern suburbs.

It sure it a lovely house. The issue is the land--a standard lot anymore is about 1/4 acre. Finding a 3/4 plot would cost a pretty penny anywhere where there's a grocery store within 10 miles!

You couldn't build it in Florida until it was modified to fit all of the strict building guidelines that the state enforces for hurricanes. We tried to build a home from a plan we found online but all the builders I spoke with told me it would be a pretty penny to modify plans to FL codes.

On that much land, probably 400,000. I have an acre with my house but that is considered a lot of land nowadays.

I like the house but I hate that chimney. I hope you would choose to do brick or stone but not that siding type chimney. ick. That would keep me from buying the house unless I could fix that. LOL

Depending on the exact location anywhere from $700K-$1.5 million

I'll add that if you built that house in one of the more desirable "intown" neighborhoods, you'd be looking at $1-1.5 million .... that is if you could find a lot that size. The trend in my neighborhood is to teardown the bungalos and ranches that were built in th 1940's-1960's and put up "new builds" that are completely outsized for their lot. You can't find a "new build" in my neighborhood for under $850,000 and most start at a $1,000,000 or more.

Think so? You are in PA, as am I. All the sites I went to say about $95 - $100 per SF..... so right there you are 275K or more... Plus land. I wish we could do it at that price.... down here the land ( 3/4 acre ) is about 250K! Sigh.....

Typical lots in this area are 1/4 acre, in that case that home would be around $500,000 or so. On 3/4 acre, I'd say $750,000 to $1 million, depending on what town you're in
