"This House" on 3/4 acre in YOUR area... what does it cost?

I live in MD and I would think it would cost anywhere from 600,000 - 700,000. Although, that is an odd-size lot....most lots near me are either super small (like .2 acres) or much larger than that (in the 2 - 4 acre range).

We are in the sticky stick sticks :scared:
A house like that would probably be on at least 2 acres here & might go for
$550,000cto $650,000 minimum if it is not on a lake~
with lake, who knows? Depends on the lake

Actually, it would be sought after if it had a heated barn complete with Highland cattle & automatic poultry feeders

Oooh, & dual fuel woodstoves ~

I live outside of Boston, near Foxboro, where the Patriots play, and it would be at least $1,000,000 here.

Around here it would probably being 600,000 give or take. We just bought our new house in Ladera Ranch California. Its 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. 3200 square feet. On a 7200 square feet lot. We live about 5 mintues from Laguna Beach. Its also in a very exclusive gated section of our larger community. We paid 1.16 million for the base price. It ridiculous. Our taxes will be about 25,000 a year! and association dues of 405 a month!

See, I don't live in a development, or anything like it. I live in a wierd area that had houses built when there were NO zoning laws. We have a home right next to me.... maybe it is 1000 SF. We have 3300 + or - with finished basement. Most homes on street are 1500 - 2000 SF. And we have one that is 5000+ SF all on the same street. We also have one that we can's tell --- it sits WAY OFF the road and is partially hidden.

The house next to me has less than one tenth of an acre, and one home has about 1.25 acres.... again, all on the same block.

We have .28 acres.

If I was building a house that size, I'd make sure there was a master on the 1st floor. Around here, the neighborhoods that would support a 3/4 acre lot, that house would start at 500K but I haven't seen a new build lately that size without a ground flr. master.

I'm going to guess about $300,000 here too. You might be able to get it for $275 if you're lucky.

Between $225,000 and $275,000 depending on what part of town it was in.

Around here, if it was on a 3/4 acre lot, maybe $750,000, but that would be in an area where there would be smaller lots like that. Right where we are, most folks have 3-10 acres.

Between $300,000 and $350,000, depending on what area it's in.

Here in Northern VA, the issue would be getting the 3/4 acre. But if could, I would say that it would all be at least $900K.

Probably around $300,000. The 3/4 acre part would be an issue, though -- a lot that size is usually going to have a significantly larger house costing about twice that much.

That is about right for the area. I'm a little more west in NC than the tar heel but could be bought for the low $300,000's!

It's not a huge house, but around here nothing short of a mansion would be built on 3/4 acre. Land is too expensive.

Besides the house is not ostentatious enough for this neighborhood's new construction (the older houses, like mine, are mostly modest split levels)

Well, around here, first try finding a lot that is 3/4 acre. It would probably be about 1 to 1.5 million unless you went way far north or way far west.

I agree...and by west we are now talking Morris off I80...and past that..but we have our boat this year in Seneca and there are people there that communte into the city and outlying suburbs due to housing costs. And seneca is 45 minutes from Woodridge/Darien.

All I do is repeat to myself over and over...should have bought the 2 acre lot in Cherry Hill for 40k 8 years ago.

2-car, no brick....really brings down the value. Need the master bedroom on the first floor and a 5th bedroom to go higher.

I am going to say 100.00 a sq. foot and that is on the high side.

Im guessing here but I'd say close to 1 million here in the Tampa area.

Over a million here on Long Island and the taxes would be through the roof for that property.

We are also in the boondocks of NH here.... minimum lot size in our town is 2 ac. That house would end up being about $500,000 to 600,000 in my town, but closer to $750,000 in Bedford, NH or another "high income" town in the area......................P

About the same here. Give or take 25k ETA - I'm leaning toward's the lower end. My 2800 sq ft house was 220,000 but I'm on less than a 1/4 acre.

The land here would be the issue. No one really has lots that big unless you are out in the country. In developments a 1/2 acre is about as big as they get and then people put 4000 sqft + houses on them.
