This grandma gig is really cool!

That's right my friends... My grandson, Tra, and my ds, Mike, got here this am.... this was the very first time I have gotten to see and hold this gorgeous 16 month old boy.. WOW!!! My heart just about came out of my chest when I first saw him. He is such a sweetheart. At the moment, he is taking a nap. We had some gifts under the tree... he giggled over each one.. but his favorite is the candy cane with the M&M's!! It makes a great drum stick to bang against everything else....

Ya know... I really am enjoying this up close and personal Grandma time.
Tra had my dh on the floor playing with him.. I think Tra made a 44 yr old man melt.

Joan, I was wondering how your visit was going! I'm glad you finally got to hold your precious grandson. Enjoy making memories with him, and post pictures if you get a chance--he sounds adorable.

I hope you really enjoy your visit. Grandkids are the best. I really enjoy the time I get to spend with my 2 granddaughters. I have them alot and enjoy them so much. I have more patience for them than I did my own children when they were young.

Tra had a little crying jag this am.. I think he was missing his mom, who is back in Texas. But he has warmed up to the whole family. This morning he and Barry were making breakfast.. You know it makes me see Barry in a different light.. being Grampa...I mean.. he just melts when he is around Tra. Tra is doing well with our scotties too... however he did take Bridget ( the little scottie) out with his new Tonka truck..LOL..
We are heading out to Target later... ah after Christmas sales and a Grandma with a credit card!!!!
